I didnt like much.
1. We had a nice sized room. But it smelled HORRIBLY of mold/mildew. We were told that they were sold out on most rooms so we stayed and bought a moisture absorbing bag. Also febreeze and candles.
2. It was a place to stay while our home was being treated for termites.
1. We had no dishes or silverware
2. The staff said that we had to drive ALL the way to the front office (from the back building) to "turn in our bath towels for new ones".
3. There were little bugs all over the stove and oven that made it impossible to use.
4. The room SMELLED so bad we ended up having to buy an odor absorption bag and several candles/air fresheners.
5. It was filthy. No mattress covers on the beds. The couch was gross. The carpet was ripped.
6. We had to bring our own cleaning supplies! They didnt come in the room even though you pay $50 PER NIGHT in "incidentals".
7. Our downstairs bedroom tv looked like someone had attempted to STEAL it. It was disconnected from the wall and my husband who used to be a low voltage electrician had to fix it.
8. I got EXTREMELY sick due to the mold and was on antibiotics and a ton of medicine after.
9. MY ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD GOT LICE. Im not even sure if they clean those rooms tbh. I spent another $150 AFTER the "hotel" trying to get rid of the lice that my family got from them.
10. I tried to call 2x to the general manager to explain all these things - SHE NEVER CALLED BACK.
Money hungry, slum lords. And not to mention the "breakfast" that offered no choices for people who are diabetic like me. 🙄
Overall no. Never again.
The location
No towels and the smell

Dear Marriott Management:
After a recent stay I wanted to extend a complaint which I am disappointed to submit at this time. I selected the following Marriott property:
Residence Inn
270 Douglas Avenue
Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
to find it is likely one of the worst properties in your vast portfolio and should likely be closed permanently due to its obvious noncompliance with Marriott standards which have made me practice fidelity of the highest order in becoming a Gold Marriott Bonvoy member due to such high levels of satisfaction, around the world, with the Marriott brand.
This property, for the weekend of my son’s wedding, was my selection which not only embarrassed me with adults for which I invited and thus paid for their stays, is ridiculously outdated, run down, lacking in service with regard to cleanliness and timely delivery of simple items required for a base hotel stay. From day one, I was shocked and disappointed with my choice as I felt I would have received a better experience from a different brand, but found everything, except the work of LaToya, to be dissatisfactory. Please extend to her my thanks for her professionalism as she should be immediately elevated to a more fitting property given her alacrity with customer service, communication and computer skills in solving even the most difficult issues we experienced at the Residence Inn property. LaToya should receive immediate elevation to a property worthy of her professional customer service skills, along with appropriately placed financial increases given that new assignment. She is “Marriott Strong”.
Quite frankly, I was/am embarrassed that I bragged on Marriott regarding the Residence Inn at Altamonte Springs before arriving for my son’s wedding weekend to find a property which holds too many “permanent residents” (which should be outlawed immediately at all Residence Inn properties [featuring forward a two-maximum occupancy rule to prevent “apartment style residency from being instituted] as this property is the perfect of example of what NOT a Marriott property should be.
I am hopeful serious consideration is given, by the appropriate managerial oversight team, IMMEDIATELY, to resolve the many issues which are present at this property current. I am at this juncture afraid that my relationship with Marriott is in jeopardy due to this ridiculously terrible weekend stay. I paid for three rooms of guests who TRUST me to do the right thing for their welfare when traveling – and quite frankly I am writing to request an immediate refund of payments submitted as there were no other options given the holiday weekend timing – IN ORLANDO, Florida – where if you had not recently heard – resides a worldwide famous “rodent” who takes up residence in the area, who is desperately desired to be “seen” by millions of children each year – especially on holiday weekends in America.
I am very burned from this experience and desire immediate review of the property – while the employment elevation of LaToya take place somewhere in your brand most immediately.
Thank you; “ready to cheat on Marriott;
I have previously stayed here nine times but not in the last 5 years. The negative transformation was overwhelming which is a clear representation of poor management.
Parking lot LOADED with litter.
Charged for parking!
Lounge area dirty!
Breakfast weak.
We were displaced from our home and needed a place to stay while our home was being fixed. We loved the location, the staff was SO nice. Breakfast was ok. It wasnt a 5 star meal every day but my 3 children were very happy with it. I was not.
1. Our room was GROSS. Dirty curtains, mold/mildew smell the moment you walked in, the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in many ages.
2. Our building was the farthest from the office/pool that you could go.
3. We didnt have enough silverware, no dish soap or sponges were provided, and we had 1 pot and 2 lids to cook with. We ended up having to go buy our own plastic silverware, paper plates, cookware and cleaning supplies.
4. Housekeeping never came - we didnt ask for it initially but a sign says that any stay over 3d they come to refresh the room. They never did. We asked for new towels - and they forced us to bring our used towels to the front office to exchange them for new ones.
5.No hairdryer was provided. Luckily I brought mine.
6. Little tiny bugs were all over the oven all the time. I also bought one of those hanging bags that absorbs moisture to get rid of the smell in the room - and I bought a glade mister/febreeze/febreeze fabric.
7. The couch/sleeper sofa was GROSS. Something nasty all over it.
8. There were no mattress protectors on the mattresses!!! Which were HORRIBLY stained.
9. The carpet felt moist/damp the WHOLE time we were in the room which I felt contributed to the awful smell in the room.
10. As a T1D i will say that the accommodations at breakfast were TERRIBLE. Everything they served was so loaded with carbohydrates and sugar i was unable to eat anything other than eggs and whatever breakfast meat they served most mornings which got old after day 2.
The hotel is a bit tired, but it’s perfectly fine. We checked in rather late and hadn’t realized that this is more like an apartment complex, where each room is accessed from the outdoors and there are no elevators. We asked for a ground floor room, and it seemed like that caused us to be moved to a room that was different from what was planned. The first room was lacking some essentials (paper towels and utensils in the kitchen, a few pillows on the bed, etc), and they moved us to a different room on the next day without any grief at all. The staff was fantastic. As long as you don’t expect the newest property with the latest amenities, it’s going to be fine.
Muy buena oportunidad para compartir en familia y descansar
The customer service at arrival, the cleanliness, and the location.
The breakfast
Loved the location next to I-4, and our room right next to the office which had the laundry facility right outside our door. The two-story penthouse suite is worth the stay.
Kitchen did not have any utensils but we made do. Toilet flushed very loudly.
Loves the convenience to restaurants, the townhouse feel with 2 bedrooms and full bathrooms, friendly staff and 12pm checkout
Only downside was the smoke smell of a previous guest and the pull out could use new padding
Easy to get to, close to everything, the bed was super comfortable
The pull out couch was broken and the mattress on it was so bad that my twins just slept on the floor! Also we didn’t have enough pillows or linen and when I went to ask the lobby was locked. I noted we would be four using room. Ended up sharing with kids and wearing sweatshirt. Slept on clothes for pillow.
On a lesser problem and personal preference, I don’t like a rug in the room.
Breakfast was ok, small selection of items, The location was perfect for our stay, only 5-10 min from facility.
Room was a 2brm suite with kitchenette but there were no pots/pans to cook a meal if we wanted to, but front desk did say they could get us some if needed.
