Castle Hill Bungalow by Seven Angels

The property overlooks the Kandy Lake and the entire city. It's a beautiful 120 year old cottage with a stunning lawns surrounding it. It's quite close to the city center, but away from the histle bustle. The most alluring aspect however is the service. Sisila was our host and he was absolutely wonderful. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay in Kandy.

The property is like a dream. Amazing big house, you feel like royalty. The garden is even more amazing. Unfortanutely the weather was little cold so I didnt try the swimming pool but it looked spacious with an amazing view for the city. The property is managed by 4 young guys who do everything for you, and they make the most delicious breakfast ever.

The property is gorgeous- its a beautiful heritage bungalow set amidst stunning gardens. The view from the garden is magnificent- you can see Kandy lake and parts of the city from an elevation and yet you are so close to the city. That was a huge plus. The two very hardworking boys in the bungalow were really helpful and attentive- it was clear that they were holding up the entire show. We had all our meals here and they were of exquisite quality!! They serve lovely curries and cutlets- not on the menu but please ask! You wont regret it! The personal touch felt wonderful and we truly enjoyed meeting other guests at the dinner table - it was unlike any hotel stay- we really loved bumping into strangers and then making friends- an informal set up you wouldn’t encounter in a hotel stay. The garden and landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. When the lights come on in the evening, the place looks like a magical mystery escape.

I loved this place. The house is beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable room. The food was great. The gardens and view are very nice. The staff was the best!!!! Friendly, professional, helpful. Really wonderful staff. Great wifi in my room.

Everything exceptional charming space

Upon arrival, we were absolutely in awe of the stunning gardens and old world British colonial hotel. We felt like we had stepped back in time. Our room was delightful with a 4 posted large very comfortable bed and doors opening out onto the garden. Our breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast or traditional Sri Lankan breakfast.
What we treasured the most however was how caring and thoughtful the staff were. We would like to make special mention of Dananjaya who looked after our every need, getting ice and slicing up limes for our Gin & Tonics and even setting up an outside table for breakfast on our last morning. I would go as far to say this has been one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka.

The suite was beautiful. A wonderful house and a wonderful garden, very calm and exquisite staff. Excellent breakfast. Only a few minutes drive from the main temple. I highly recommend.

Beautiful property with fantastic views in a quiet location but close to lake.

Luogo di incredibile bellezza e buon gusto. C’è un immenso giardino tropicale, la villa è elegantissima e piena di cose belle. Ci hanno fatto l’upgrade e la stanza era molto lussuosa.

Questa struttura è un sogno! Intrisa di fascino, ti offre un servizio di alto livello grazie all'accoglienza di Dananjaya, Chamidu & Dilsha. È una villa antica, conservata benissimo, arredata con mobili d'epoca e ti regala una bellissima vista su Kandy ed il suo lago. Consigliatissima!
