Where to begin. On a very quiet weekend, I know because I asked, we were given room 120 by the elevator overlooking the parking lot. In the room there was 1 glass. My husband went to the front desk to ask for another glass and he was told "we only have paper cups." He then advised the desk that we had 1 glass and needed another. Really? Forward to Saturday afternoon. After an hour at the pool in the most uncomfortable chairs ever made, and no umbrellas stupid me, I took a shower and washed my hair only to find that the MARRIOT does not provide a hair dryer in the room, so I called down to the desk and a hair dryer was brought up.
After preparing to meet our son for dinner (reservations at 5) we took the elevator down one floor to the lobby where we realized we did not have our sunglasses so immediately hopped back on the elevator. Imagine our surprise and SHOCK to find someone in our room when we opened OUR HOTEL ROOM DOOR. The person (Cedric) said he was there to fix the air conditioner and was extremely nervous and said "F" multiple times as he tried to explain. (We suspect that this employee was watching our room and entered as soon as we went down on the elevator. )We went down to the front desk and advised of our experience and said we would be checking out and we will not be charged. The response was, "I will talk to the manager". Upon our return from dinner we did speak with the manager, Maureen, who offered us free parking. Really? I responded by saying that you, MARRIOT, broke your contract with us by letting someone into our room without notice, and oh, by the way, this just happened a minute after we left the room. I let her know that we were not safe at the MARRIOT and would be checking out, with no charges or our lawyer would be contacting MARRIOT. Well, there is still a pending charge, which Maureen assured me will fall off, but I am not holding my breath. Be assured, we will NEVER stay at a MARRIOT again, and we will review MARRIOT and advise friends, family, acquaintances, strangers of our horrible experience!
There was a slight issue with with 800# room reservations for a conference we were attending. However, once we were on-property, there were 2 staff desk clerks (Teyana and Mikhala) who were so helpful, professional and kind to ease our frustrations make stay enjoyable! As we left for each meeting, they greeted us and asked how things were going & if we needed anything. Coming from a different state, that mean the world to us. Great training & awesome front desk check-in & check-out service!
Great trip for Army Ranger graduation. Maureen and her staff at the front desk were terrific. We had a slight change in plans and she made our accommodation work! Beautiful hotel and walking distance to shops and restaurants.
It was in a great location!
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property it was great!
Great customer service!!! Teyana at the front desk was great!
Ellen and Mel, the front desk attendants were simply the best!
I asked if they could help me wrap a gift for my granddaughter and they responded enthusiastically and beautifully.
The gift was wrapped and a classy ribbon attached.
They made four people happy on Sunday evening;
Grandaughter, Grandpa, Mom, and Dad!

One worker in particular went above and beyond. We traveled from Los Angeles starting at 4am with layover in Austin for an hour then into Atlanta. We drove to Columbus and immediately started teaching at the convention center next door. Needless to say nothing to eat was open when we were done teaching at almost 11pm. We were starving and woke up and missed the breakfast offered. Having to teach again all day without eating for almost a day we were so hungry. I found Monet at the front desk and asked her if there was anything open at the hotel to eat as we happened to miss all the eating times. Without hesitation she said follow me and we took off to the kitchen where she had the chef make two breakfast boxes. With a smile and generosity she fed us and wished us a good day. She went above and beyond her job and I hope someone in management reads this and promotes her because this is the type of person who deserves recognition and to lead teams. Thank you Monet for sustaining us through the day. Your kindness was felt and enabled hundreds of kids to be taught that day!!
I met Joyce this morning when I went down to the M Room for breakfast, and she immediately greeted me with so much joy. She is incredibly friendly and outgoing with an all-around wonderful personality. I truly enjoyed talking with her. She was attentive and thoughtful, checking to see if we needed anything and even making fresh coffee for us. Joyce made the experience welcoming and memorable.❤️
