Absolutely enjoyed my stay in Viewpoint hotel Moscow. Great location in Balchuk near to Novokuznetskaia metro station, very helpful and nice staff, always ready to assist.
I will definitely recommend my friend and colleagues to stay here. Thank you.
I recently found myself in a situation where there were 3 parties to a conflict (one of which was me) and everyone kind of misbehaved:
- Me - because I wanted to sleep (at 1 am what else do you want), so inattentively read what I order (and now even resent, yes!)
- Ostrovok.ru - because distinctly do not write what rates are non-refundable and do not make any warning before taking my money (and eventually refuse to return them, hiding that the rules of return sets the hotel)
- And actually this hotel as vilely acted, refusing to settle me, change my booking (when booking through Ostrovok, as I found out already in the hotel, there is no option of night check-in) and demanded to pay again the room on the spot, hiding behind the fact that he had already suffered losses for the hour, while I booked, drove to the hotel (what losses for that hour the hotel has suffered so nobody has explained me).
What can I say about the hotel itself:
- Relatively close to the subway,
- The room is stuffy and the bed is very uncomfortable, so it is impossible to get a good night's sleep.
- The bar is very uncomfortable, the floor is big and the bed was tilted back down in the morning and the dining room was big and uncomfortable.
- But most of all I would like to mention the most disgusting attitude towards the guests I have had in the last 5 years. Before that, the hotel in a small Asian village held the first place.
Thank the hotel that at least they didn't crap in my suitcase while I was trying to sleep.
The rooms are okay, but the breakfast is an imposition. Loveless, tasteless and tiny portion.
There was a problem with the payment. The request to get a feedback from the manager was not followed up.
Poor customer orientation

Great
Location. Simple hotel. Would recommend.
Beautiful Hotel nestled right in the middle of the Action. Comfortable rooms, well fitted with good amenities. Bathrooms and Showers as per expectation. Good layout and fresh look.
I like so far the property, the only thing was that one day we ordered room service and the food came 1:30 hours later and cold, We ordered most of the times room service and expect them 45 minutes later even tho they salid 20 minutes, that was the only bad thing and they are having some construction and you can hear the noise.
This was an unpleasant stay at a moderate hotel. Although it is very well placed in a very good area, everything else at the hotel was very moderate, the internet was useless, I asked for my room to be cleaned, they would not do it over 4 days. When I stayed you could not drive up to the door because of road works, but that did not matter but the lack of leadership and attention to the guests was a problem.
Only location is good.finding your way to your room is like labyrinth
very close to the metro and kremlin , also a few minutes walk Gorky park and some restaurants , the place also have nice meals , and was very clean , I will recommended ,
the place was very close to Red square , and also to a train station , was easy to arrived , all was very proper and the staff was very helpful , property was nice and quiet , I will be back next week :)
I will highly recommended this place :)
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel and I was very happy both with the room and the service. Whatsup messages with hotel when out in the city made me feel safe and comfortable. They offered to order a taxi even when I was outside of the hotel and charged it on the room-very efficient and easy. Check in and check out was also very quick. The hotel is in walking distance to the main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel for those who dont look special facilities(spa, bar etc) but a comfortable stay in the center where you can walk to the main sights.
Small, clean, fantastic room service. Close to center and 8 min to metro
Location is a short walk to the popular Red Square. Staff went out of their way to help and had excellent English. Amenities included everything you could think of, plus the staff gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to ring in the new year! Thanks for an excellent stay, will be back again for sure.
The hotel itself is really nicely furnished and in a very good location. However my stay was marred by construction work that ran throughout the day and night (until at least 1am) that the hotel allegedly has no control over. The upper floors of the hotel are still under construction so I didn't fully believe that the noise was all from the neighbours as the staff told me. The hotel staff were however apologetic for the disruption but I think that the hotel/hotels.com need to make it clearer at the point of booking that there is construction work going on in the building; if I had known this I would not have booked this hotel.
I travel for business mainly and ultimately I look for two things in a hotel; cleanliness and quietness. Sadly the Viewpoint Hotel only fulfilled one of those things. When the construction has finished I'm sure this is going to be a great hotel to stay at.
Great modern hotel, walking distance to red square. I really enjoyed the weekend there. The breakfast menu didn’t say it’s room service only, went down and was told that there is no kitchen or sitting area can only order in the room, would have been handy if this was told at checking in.
Balchug Viewpoint is located in Sadovnicheskaya Naberezhnaya in the Balchug Area of the artificial island of the historical Zamoskvorechye district between the Moskva River and its old riverbed, which was turned into the Vodootvodny Canal in 1786. Being Few meters away from Balchug street, one of oldest 14th century streets outside Kremlin walls, lets you have daydreaming sights of the Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building and off the street of the St. Basil spires enabling you to reach the Red Square via the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge (1938) in ~10 min walking. Being in a one week business trip for Google in the close-by Balchug Plaza Office I was looking for a clean, quiet and logistically perfect hotel, where I could request laundry and ironing services for my shirts and be able to visit the city center in the evening after work. I did not try the meal room service not breakfast but worth mentioning that it is available and the restaurant is located in a nearby building, not in the same one where I stayed. More than a traditional hotel, I would call it a luxury modern apartments building with extremely kind, English speaking personnel ready to assist you in everything needed. I took a Superior Double Room (Twin Room) ~135€ per night which had a pleasant heated floor bathroom and upscale wood-like interior design and furniture. Renovation works were happening during my stay in several floors but were never impacting with my overall experience. I will definitely consider it again for my next business trip in Moscow!
This is a new small hotel in the heart of the city on Sadovnicheskya Embankment- with a great view and an outstanding location . I had a very pleasant stay there, wonderful amenities , friendly staff.
Will definitely book again !
The hotel occupies one and a half floors, the remaining premises of the building are under repair. The drill and hammer work both early in the morning, and all day, and late in the evening. The front desk cannot do anything with this, as it is a different company.
A renovation was carried out right in the next room during our stay.
In the hotel rooms themselves, the repair, although fresh, is of very poor quality.
I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Otherwise, you risk paying a rather high price for a room in which it is impossible to relax.
Only one good thing I can say - very central location.
I should have listened to previous reviewers who mentioned about the construction noises. As soon as I arrived and was guided to my room I could hear constant drilling and hammering from upstairs. I wasn't even warned prior to coming to the hotel that this would be ongoing 6 days a week! It generally starts at roughly 9am and then stops after 7pm. You can't even come back to the hotel in the afternoon and have a nap after walking around all day unless you want to put up with this nuisance noise. To be fair to the hotel this has nothing to do with them and is out of there hands, however, this totally ruined my experience of having a good time in Moscow and if I ever do return I will not stay at this hotel. I was truly disappointed because other than that this hotel would have been alright. I also found the double bed a bit uncomfortable whereby instead of being entirely flat there is a slight raised parting in the middle of the bed which can make it hard to sleep and restricts your movement. The blankets are also too short and I had to rearrange them length ways to cover my entire body. I was expecting more from this hotel but was let down and there is no inhouse bar or restaurant either which makes it feel rather barren and isolated. Overall, I left rather disappointed and would not stay here again.
