I recently visited for a dinner appointment and had a disappointing experience.
I arrived first while my guest was parking, and I was told the hotel was full and I could not enter. I was also asked if I was alone.
However, when my guest arrived shortly after, he was allowed inside without any issue. For context, he is a foreigner, and I am a local.
This situation left me feeling uncomfortable and questioning whether all guests are treated equally. I hope the hotel can ensure fair and consistent treatment for everyone.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Addis Ababa! We were treated to some of the most outstanding hospitality ever. The entire staff goes above and beyond to help with anything we needed. We were there during their 50th anniversary year and despite its age, the facilities and restaurants are fresh, clean, and top notch. We played tennis, swam in the beautiful pool, enjoyed a daily coffee ceremony, ate wonderful breakfasts at Kaffa House, and several dinners at their fabulous Gazebo restaurant. The concierge helped us make dinner reservations in the city which was super helpful, and the room service was lovely. The manager, Can, personally ensured we had everything we needed. It was so convenient to be able to walk to so many city attractions and the city view from our room was STUNNING. I would highly recommend this hotel for an amazing experience, atmosphere, and a staff that genuinely cares about you and takes the utmost pride in hosting their guests.

Very friendly staff, large rooms. Though the largest pool was closed for maintenance, the 4 smaller outside pools were in use and that was, all we needed. Great choice in food and drinks, small shops available. Enough sitting space inside and outside
More toilet facilities in the main areas so one doesn't have to go back to their room to use the bathroom. Minigolf area needs some maintenance and cleaning
Close to Unity Park and friendly staff....otherwise this is a dated hotel with poor restaurant options and limited services
