Joey is great!! Very informative and told us stuff that we did not know.
$136.75 for our in room dining. Imagine our surprise when everything was delivered in cardboard cartons see photos below if you cannot serve in room training on dishes please do not serve it or at the very least note it so that clients know what they will be giving.
Joey greeted us and spun tales about the ghosts who live here. I cannot think of a better way to start our trip. My glorious king I think you dropped this 👑 ❤️ god bless Drake
Stepping into the hotel is like stepping into the past. The design and character made me feel my stay was more like an experience instead of just a place to lay my head. The staff was amazing, Chris, Jeff, Shana, and others were welcoming and helpful. But if you truly want to hear about the hotel's history, speak with Joey Laso. He gave our family a tour around the hotel, showing us the hotel's unique features, and making us feel welcome.
ES UN ESPACIO CLASICO HERMOSO
No recolectaban toda la basura en la habitación
Large room in an excellent location downtown Chicago! Steps from hopping, restaurants and lakefront. Very helpful staff and the concierge gave excellent insights to local pots for breakfast.
no complaints!
Can't recommend the Drake enough! Honors so much of Chicago history with hugeee rooms and really comfortable beds and large bathrooms as well - shout out to Shaina for being so cool and welcoming to us!
Our experience at the Drake Hotel in Chicago was exceptional, thanks in large part to Joey Laso. His service was polished, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Joey’s knowledge of the hotel’s rich history added a thoughtful and memorable touch to our visit.
It’s clear he takes great pride in creating a first-class guest experience. Thank you, Joey, for making our time at the Drake truly special.
Great stay! Joey was awesome! We had a great time hearing about the history of the hotel and the area. I can’t say enough about when we come back!
Joey was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Drake was pretty classy and beautiful. Loved hearing stories about the 20s era.
the doorman was awesome. He was always in a good mood and smiling and offering to help take pictures, etc. Also the bartenders were great in the onsite lounge / restaurant. The staff in general were very nice and helpful. Location was great and convenient to many sites, attractions and activities in the downtown area, and our room had a fantastic view of the lake and the little lighted gazebo across the street which we definitely enjoyed.
The rooms were a bit dated, but given that this is a historic hotel it was not a huge deal. Also It would have been nice to at least have a small microwave in the room. Also, it's worth nothing that this hotel is beautiful and as such they seem to book alot of special events that are held in their main restaurant/event area. That being said, by far the worst thing about the trip was an extremely RUDE attendant / security person at an event/party of some type that was being held in said area, during our stay. We were nicely dressed and just returning from dinner elsewhere when my wife was rudely stopped when we walked up the stairs to check out the area in general and told we weren't allowed to be up there...despite the fact we were staying there for many days as guests, and we had literally just walked to the top of the stairs leading to that area to find out when it might be accessible for the actual PAYING GUESTS of the hotel.
Love this place! Very classy, classic style. Very clean. Great customer service. Central location. Great view of the lake. Great history of the hotel shared by Joey.
Joey had really good knowledge of the building. We enjoyed our stay. The facts about the hotel having a speak easy was intriguing and making the hotel more interesting learning about new things. Enjoyment and passion of the staff was nice.
Hyvä sijainti.
Alkaa ikä näkyä liikaa hotellin kunnossa.
Henkilökunta oli ihan perus, ei mitään kovin ystävällistä paitsi baari/loungessa.
The beauty and design and convenience of walking to local shops and restaurants.
The property needs to be updated.
Parking is ridiculous and unreasonably costly
