Mercure Inverness Hotel

Everything was sticky and the dirty. Window also would not shut and let in all the city noise.

Anticuado, íntegramente alfombrado con alfombras sucias, reservé una hab privilegie con vista al río Ness y me dieron una en 1er piso con vistas a un techo, hice reclamo pero no tenían otra disponible. El parking salió 15£ por dia. El desayuno bueno

The hotel and room was dated. I had to supply my own socket converter. They had no spare or no where to charge my cell phone. The lady clerk directed me to Tesla which I could not find. I walked around thinking I was going the correct way, but was not. Again I asked the same clerk for better directions. She gave me something completely different. Again, I could not find Tesla, but after asking 3 different pedestrians I was able to find the store, Yikes I had to pay 19lbs. for the converter plug in. The hotel was already the most expensive place I stayed in Scotland.
I was terribly tired from my excursion that day and just wanted rest. However I had to leave twice on foor to purchase a converter. Sink wouldn't drain in the bathroom. They have no wake up calls. Even though the hotel was easy to locate, a person needs to walk amoung the
transients on either side of the road. The smell of marajuana was everywhere. I would keep my children off that street.
I found the clerk just barely helpful. Food okay for breakfast.

Tired and desperately in need of refurbishment. Our airco/heater didn’t function (stuffy room that can’t open windows), several light bulbs broken. Very over priced for a chain hotel. And this was the “Privilege Suite”!

Noisy side of the building

To much noise at night. You can hear everything from outside.

Leider machte das Hotel auf uns insgesamt einen etwas vernachlässigten Eindruck. Gerade in dieser Preisklasse hätten wir uns ein stimmigeres und gepflegteres Gesamtbild gewünscht.

An der Rezeption empfanden wir den Empfang als wenig persönlich. Die Mitarbeiterin blickte während des Gesprächs kaum vom Monitor auf. Positiv möchten wir aber ausdrücklich erwähnen, dass sie uns einen früheren Check-in ermöglicht hat, worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben.

An verschiedenen Stellen fehlte es aus unserer Sicht an Sauberkeit und Aufmerksamkeit für Details: Im Restaurant lagen Essensreste auf dem Boden, Tischoberflächen klebten und die Aufstellkarten im Frühstücksraum waren teilweise mit Marmelade verschmiert. In unserem Zimmer fanden wir zudem gut sichtbar Zahnreinigungsbögen auf dem Boden. Auch eine stark quietschende, häufig benutzte Tür im Frühstücksbereich trug leider nicht zu einer angenehmen Atmosphäre bei.

In der Summe waren es viele Kleinigkeiten, die unseren Gesamteindruck deutlich beeinträchtigt haben. Uns ist bewusst, dass dieses Feedback sehr kritisch klingt, dennoch möchten wir es weitergeben, da wir glauben, dass sich vieles davon mit etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit gut verbessern ließe.

Positiv hervorheben möchten wir die bequemen Betten – wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.

Le bruit de la rue, peu dormi en 2 jours pour un prix trop élevé ! Salle de bain minuscule !

Our room faced the clubs and pubs of Inverness so was very noisy. Accor need to put in soundproof windows as they charge a lot without providing modern facilities. The wifi was the poorest i have ever had in a large hotel chain. Hotel generally needs painting and modernising.
Staff were great but Accor need to reap the changes.

Lack of sockets in the room. Bathroom sink too small to fill kettle in.
