In the center of town.
The room was super small for 2 people.
No room to leave your stuff, only one side of the bed to get in and out.
Very friendly reception staff, brilliant location (within walking distance of shops, attractions, river, pubs, restaurants), lovely view of river from our room. Excellent breakfast. Husband needed refrigeration for antibiotic eye drops which was sorted, thank you!

Totally disappointed by room booked, booked a “Privilege Room”. Received room 109. The only thing Privileged about it was label on door. Apart from very nice bathroom, walking shower, the bedroom was very compact!!! Nothing like photographs on your website, checked Mercure site and same photos as “Booking”, no space between bottom of bed and wall, certainly no double sofa, only small easy chair beside bed/window and case stand. Photo of Classic Room looks bigger, room for table between bed and wall.
‘All’ the amenities are in the wardrobe, coffee machine, tea/coffee tray, Kettle, Hairdryer, iron & board and tissue box.
No view of river or over old town roofs, just looking across at flats above local shops..
Stayed International with this hotel group and poorest excuse for standard room, never mind “Privileged”.
Photographs extremely poor marketing, as product is not of that standard. Paid a premium as my wife is disabled and the extra room looked ideal. £260+ a night is expensive, not a problem if as presented.
Room was like a dormitory room. It is not a double room when the bed is pushed up against a wall. We were offered, via email to upgrade our room (at a cost) prior to checking and upon checkin, were not offered a better room. We were told at checkin breakfast was from 6.30am. We arrived at 6.30am and were told that breakfast started at 7am. We arrived at 7am and the dining room was full with a bus crowd of patrons who were already well and truly eating at their tables. Overall, the hotel is extremely dated. Whilst the bathroom and shower was good, and breakfast selection was fine, its hard to find much else which offered value for money.
The outside of the hotel is in desperate need of a paint and maintenance. Bedroom was very uncomfortable. Staff were indifferent.

Nosso atendimento na chegada foi péssimo, chegamos às 18;00 e o quarto ainda não estava pronto. O check inn é ás 15:00. A funcionária falou que houve um late check out e isso atrapalhou a programação. O estado de manutenção predial podia ser melhor a fachada parecia deprimente. Estou acostumado a pegar bons hotéis da rede All Accor, mas este hotel está fora do padrão deles.

The location was fantastic, right next to the train station, the river, shopping, and nighttime activities. Highly recommend to solo travelers…great for females too. Incredibly safe. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were all lovely.
It was a bit dated, but it was comfortable. I wish there was a mini fridge in the room. As a foreign person who wants to save a little bit, having some snacks available in a fridge is very helpful.

Location great. Staff friendly. Good breakfast.
Noisy at night with party goers heading home which appreciate is not the hotels fault but if the rooms had air conditioning, you could keep the windows closed to block out the noise. Room was smaller than expected for the room rate charged.
