Nothing
The property is deep into a renovation. There is no mention of this when booking. The hotel is dusty, has no working elevator and the halls are lined with extra doors, microwave ovens, and mini fridges. There are punch lists on the walls outside most rooms.
The staff
We got moved to a different room without anyone telling us until we got there, the hot tub was broken, they were under construction, we had no hot water in our room, the floors were still dirty from the construction, the walls are so thin you can hear everything and lots of homeless walking around (scary area). Lack of communication asked for a refund they said owner would contact us and never did. We had to go to another room to have hot water to shower. Will never go back.
Staff sucks and jacked me for 250 bucks
Nothing really. I mean I guess the staff at least did the right thing by calling cops on druggies in the hotel but why did they rent to them to begin with....
The hotel had a drug bust right inside of it! We had to walk through the cops and handcuffed criminals to get to our room! Our room was "remodeled" but looked like total crap. I have pictures. The bed was rock hard, the heater was loud, the doors were both messed up, the shower doors didn't shut tight, holes and cracks in the walls, paint on the floor, paint missing on the door, door trim missing around an entire.door. yep not a good visit. We will not be back to this hotel ever again!
The room I stayed in was updated.
Bad location for vagrants. Had to sign a waiver that I wasn’t a transient. Hallway was filthy. No hot water at all. Didn’t get a shower. The morning Front desk person tried to blame the city. Note: hot water does not come from the city. Breakfast was awful. Hard boiled eggs and burnt sausage with age old bagels that you couldn’t even pull apart to toast. It was a rock not a bagel. Also the window in the room had a huge hole in it where someone busted it out. I felt unsafe. 78.00 bucks. Never again.
Nice staff.
No hot water. Bad breakfast. No hot tub
I didnt stay because it was under a full remodel with a few open rooms in the back. It looked terrible and smelled even worse.
They are currently renovating. The new rooms are very nice. Probably most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. Continental breakfast was great. Staff were friendly.
Only negative was that they are currently renovating so property is actively under construction, but as stated, the rooms are very nice and the construction wasn’t an inconvenience
Nice value, easy location, great staff
All the construction and pool was closed. Our room wasn't finished as far as the construction goes.
Overall everything was good 👍😊
The price was a great deal although I haven’t been able to bring my bag in since I got home because I’m afraid there are cockroaches now in my bag .
I found a live cockroach in my bathroom the last day I was there. crawling on the wall.
Friendly helpful staff!!!
No issue
Light did not work would not shut off. Stains on tub walls were dirty red marks staff did not come up had to call back hour later
Room 129 the ac was super loud my parents said other than that it was good oh and the room in between us smoking so much weed it stunk everything up . Horrible
It was not very clean at all. We changed rooms 3 times before the room was satisfactory.
The property is a construction warzone. There is really no where to park as the entire property is surrounded by conex containers. When we arrived we had to wait over 20 minutes to check in because the front office attendant was doing "security walk through". They are renovating it all at once and putting guests in rooms in the construction zone instead of renovating it by section. The room we were placed in had ajar doors adjacent to ours and there were several smoke detectors peeping. When I called about it I was told that they would change the batteries. Later when I heard noise outside the door, I found the front desk attendant with a maintenance working with a stack of smoke detectors. They decided to just remove them all. It is also surrounded by unhoused people and they were clearly sneaking in and living in the rooms under construction or the owner had a deal with the city to house people in the building. Down the hall there was a window to a courtyard and there were unhoused people congregating and doing god knows what. The room we were in was brand new, but it did not have power to all outlets and it was still off gassing from the construction materials. After all the smoke detectors were being removed and the noise and the unhoused people we decided it was unsafe to leave our car in the parking lot and decided to go elsewhere. The Wyndam app should have told us the property was under construction so we could have been given the choice to decide whether we stayed there. When we left there was an unhoused person climbing the wall of the property next door yelling at us. If we had stayed I'm sure our vehicle would have been broken into. We moved to the La Quinta at the airport only to have our car broken into so I guess SLC isn't the safe city I imagined and has the same problems as other urban areas throughout the country.
The location was fine.
There was a lot. Unfortunately the whole thing was under a remodel and we were not informed about this beforehand. So it was super unsettling and the hallways were a disaster. Also we paid for a king bed and they gave us a double room instead. And couldn’t resolve the issue. We also had no hot water.
