The sink handle fell off, outlet in bathroom did not work to dry my hair, bathroom was not flushing until my husband fixed it, he’s a plumber! Also online said there was breakfast included which the was not! Disappointing!
I booked this hotel for one night before boarding a family cruise the next day with my two children. After a seven-hour drive, we arrived exhausted and were initially checked in promptly and assigned Room 340.
Unfortunately, when we entered the room, it was completely unacceptable. There was trash scattered throughout the room, and the beds had not been made. I had to return to the front desk and request a different room.
While waiting for the General Manager to inspect and assign us a new room, I witnessed a guest smoking in the hallway despite numerous no-smoking signs posted throughout the property. This was especially concerning because my child has severe asthma, and exposure to smoke poses a serious health risk.
The replacement room 339 was marginally better, but it was still dirty and had a strange odor. At least there wasn't trash covering the floor. Shortly after settling in, we discovered the toilet was not functioning properly. When I reported the issue, the General Manager acknowledged that something needed to be adjusted to make it work but insisted the toilet was not technically broken.
During our stay, I also observed an individual looking through vehicles in the parking lot, which raised concerns about safety and security. Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the property felt uncomfortable and unsafe.
When I reported the hallway smoking to the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do because it had already happened and that they were "not a Marriott hotel," despite the fact that I booked the property directly through Marriott.
At that point, I no longer felt comfortable staying there with my children. I packed up our belongings and moved to the Marriott Courtyard across the street. The General Manager offered no meaningful assistance and appeared largely indifferent to the situation. I was informed that I could not receive a refund and was offered 2,000 Marriott Bonvoy points as compensation, which I have still not received.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Between the dirty rooms, broken facilities, smoking violations, safety concerns, and lack of customer service, I cannot recommend this property to anyone, especially families traveling with children.

Annette (hope I spelled that right), is the sweetest, most helpful, front desk I have experienced. The way she goes out of her way to help accommodate you, make you comfortable, and her laugh is contagious!
This hotel operates like a scam disguised as hospitality. They charged me for services I never received, and every attempt to resolve it was met with excuses, delays, and outright lies. The room looked nothing like the photos — outdated, dirty, and clearly neglected. Management showed zero accountability and treated me like an inconvenience instead of a paying guest. I’ve stayed in budget motels with more integrity than this place.
And here’s the real warning: if they have your credit card on file, they will find a bogus charge to slap onto your bill. I was hit with hidden fees — including a $50 ‘resort fee’ and ‘parking fee’ — from Grand Hotel Buana Park that were never disclosed upfront. It’s a predatory setup designed to squeeze every dollar they can from unsuspecting guests.
I strongly urge everyone to check their credit card and bank statements carefully. This hotel counts on people not noticing the extra charges. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being overcharged, ignored, and treated like a walking ATM
I chose this hotel because it offered free breakfast. When we arrived the hotel said that they DO NOT offer free breakfast and that BOOKING.COM refuses to remove that description on their website. So, did not receive a breakfast and there was not snacks or other food items at the hotel to purchase.

I liked that there was a microwave in the room and the fudge had a freezer compartment.
I didn’t like the fact that a lot of the outlets didn’t work, the fridge smelled, there was small cockroaches by the fridge, there was a mildew smell, were the pull out couch was at was hot and the ac didn’t cool down the room

The building looks nothing like the pictures being advertised! When I first arrived, after checking in I asked about the breakfast that says is included online but nothing! Straight bs! Then when I get to my room I was given a room that wasn’t even cleaned ! Then I was excited and hoping to go swimming and only the hot tube was working , while the pool was green !
