Leonardo Boutique Hotel Amsterdam Vondelpark

Everything was worn out. The room was small. TV did not work properly. Coffee machine did not work properly (though we were happy that there was one). We especially did not like the breakfast: the selection was poor and often of bad quality.

Dirty and unsafe!

Let me tell you about our experience with this hotel:

We checked in on Saturday. When we entered the room, there were a lot of hairs on the bed and it didn’t look like it had been cleaned at all — the floor wasn’t washed, swept, nothing.

We went to the reception and asked them to change the bed sheets and clean the room. We went out, but in the evening the bed was still full of hair, so we cleaned it ourselves. In the bathroom, there was hair on the towels as you can see in the picture.

On Sunday, we asked again for cleaning. I think they only removed the hair from the towels because we didn’t notice anything else being done.

On Monday, we asked again for cleaning. They told us to make a request through the app. We did, but no one came to clean.

On Tuesday morning, we asked again at the reception for cleaning. They only made the bed — they didn’t wash the floor, didn’t clean the sink, nothing.

We asked again for cleaning on Wednesday.

To top it all off, on Tuesday evening around 9 PM, while we were in bed, someone entered our room. They opened the door, said something like “Ready, ah… sorry, sorry!” and left. It must have been someone from the reception since they had a key.

We asked about it the next day, and they just shrugged, saying there was no record of anyone entering…

It is absolutely not normal for someone to enter your hotel room like that. After that, we slept with the door locked. I do not recommend this place — this is definitely not a 4-star hotel, it doesn’t even deserve 2 stars. Very dirty and unsafe.

La doccia !

Los colchones estaba blandos. Tienen un sistema de aviso para que hagan la limpieza que no.funcionó y cuando pedì en recepción tambien falloʻ.

The only comments I have are about the bathroom door that didn’t shut properly unless pushed hard (which would be too noisy to do when using the toilet in the middle of the night) and the curtains that did not meet on the middle, so it would have been quite bright early in the morning hadn’t we used a couple of hair grips to hold the two curtains together in the centre. These things however can be easily fixed and didn’t spoil our stay.

Rooms are small but everything you need. Carpets in corridors look dirty.

The noise if other guests in rooms and corridor could be clearly heard. Walls are very thin. First night made for a lot of disturbed sleep.
The double room is very compact. Barely enough room to walk between bed and window. Thankfully we only used room to sleep. Everything else with property is great

Difficile cenare la sera in hotel

The room was shabby. The bathroom sink had peeling paint - for some reason - and a brown build up of limescale and scum. The shower floor tiles were broken. These are just some of a host of small things that added up to a sense of neglect. I was really surprised - the room was so expensive!

Maid service did the very minimum if anything at all. i requested a room cleaning once during a 5 day stay. they changed the towels took the trash and made the bed. i was expecting that they also sweep the floor, change the sheets, wipe/clean the bath vanity and shower, put a tissue box. clean used mugs. and straighten curtains. if you want the room cleaned be specific.
