Julio at the beach was the best. His level of service made the beach extrarelaxing and special. Don't lose him!
My stay was terrible. Rooms are small and dated for the price charged. Pool area is absolutely crowded with club members leaving no space for hotel guests. Hotel is selling the pool area twice!!
But the real problem came at the checkout. I was supposed to pay for the valet service but they broke my car keys!! To ease the problem they offered me not to charge for the valet service so the 200 dollars fee was removed from my final balance! I paid the final expenses with a credit card and left the hotel. The following day I discovered that they used the security deposit to charge the valet service after I check out the hotel and without my knowledge!
I was here celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday, and Julio was amazing as was the rest of the staff at the beach!
I’m writing to share candid feedback from my recent stay, in the hope that it’s useful. I genuinely wanted to love the Miami Edition, and I came in with high expectations — but I left feeling that the experience didn’t live up to the price tag or to the brand.
On the positive side, the lobby bar was a clear standout. The menu was thoughtful, the energy was fun, and the team behind the bar were genuinely engaging. It’s the kind of space that gives the property real personality.
Where the experience fell short was in the service philosophy. The check-in felt performative rather than welcoming — being escorted up to the room played as theater rather than hospitality. That tone carried through to the late check-out request, which was declined despite a 4 PM courtesy being standard at most properties for Ambassador Elite members at the 100+ night tier. For a guest with that level of investment in the brand, the inflexibility was surprising.
For honest comparison, the St Regis Bal Harbour delivers a meaningfully more refined and guest-centric experience at a comparable price point — warmer service, fewer affectations, and a clearer sense that the guest comes first.
I share this not to complain, but because I suspect the property is capable of much more than what I experienced.
All in all — go to the St Regis Bal Harbour unless you want to pay a steep price for mediocre service.

We had a great time at the edition. We love the scent of the hotel and our time spent at the beach was incredible kicked off by the impeccable service of Alex who set us up with great seats overlooking the ocean!
Excellent massage by Jose at The Miami Beach EDITION. Professional, skilled, and very attentive to detail. Left feeling completely relaxed—highly recommend.

Wenn alles vorausbezahlt wird und ich pro Zimmer noch USD 600.00 zusätzlich als Reservation zahlen muss und dann noch zusätzlich jede Konsumation zusätzlich und sofort als Reservation belastet wird, dann stimmt für mich die Rechnung nicht mehr.

Grande disagio al check-in: per errore la mia segretaria ha prenotato dal suo profilo booking e mancato d'indicare il mio nome come occupante della camera. Per fortuna il mio cognome era menzionato nelle richieste speciali e mi è stata data la chiave della camera, ma solo dopo molta insistenza. Come ex-residente al Miami-Beach Edition per più di 10 anni, non è stato per niente un bel ritorno "a casa". Ho soggiornato in una "King Room con Vista oceano", purtroppo situata vicino a scale/ascensore: insonorizzazione da migliorare per ridurre rumori e schiamazzi dal corridoio. Ho fatto chiedere per iscritto, e poi telefonicamente dalla mia segretaria un cambio camera per averne una più tranquilla. Nonostante la disponibilità online di altre camere della stessa categoria per il periodo rimanente, il cambio non si è potuto fare. Ignoro ancora il motivo.
La gestione della richiesta scritta è stata lentissima. Tra i team del Guest Experience Team, del Front Desk ed il Room controller la comunicazione è inesistente: la segretaria ha ricevuto una risposta scritta da un room controller solo due giorni dopo e praticamente il giorno prima della mia partenza. Reattività e professionalità da rivedere.
Il Front-desk è rigido, impaziente e incapace di gestire le situazioni con un ospite "straniero" in presenza. Un 5 stelle si distingue dal servizio, e qui è totalmente assente: mancano gentilezza e capacità di problem-solving. Esperienza molto deludente, sconsigliato. Ridurre le procedure operative, i sistemi gestionali, le gerarchie e/o l' intelligenza artificiale. Serve più esperienza ed empatia con il cliente. Un tempo le mance si elargivano per merito nel servizio.
Service is lacking. Management does not follow up. Some members of staff are unfriendly and rude by the pool (like rolling eyes). Clearly do not want to be here.
Lobby and pool areas get five stars. Mattress was comfortable. Front desk was nice. That’s the positives. Only one of the three elevators worked. My room was dirty. Common areas away from the lobby were dirty. Room smelled like smoke. Valet forgot about me for 15 min. Honestly had it not been for the EXORBITANT price they charged I wouldn’t have left this review. But for what they charge everything should have been on point. Very disappointed. Consider booking elsewhere.

Great visit to the Edition. Armando at Tropicale provided great recommendations for the menu and Randy at the beach took excellent care and attention to getting me set up at the beach.
