Beautiful, but key elements were misrepresented & overall experience did not justify 5 star rating
Pros:

The room decor is beautiful & the frontline staff were polite.

Cons:

This hotel did not deliver a five-star experience.

The Oceanview King room was misrepresented for the first three nights, housekeeping was inconsistent, advertised facilities were not available as described, and issues required repeated follow-ups during the stay.

More concerning was what happened after checkout: despite being assured that no additional charges would apply due to the issues experienced, I was later charged a significant amount without explanation and have received no response from management despite multiple attempts to contact them.

Despite management confirming that Oceanview King rooms do not have the advertised view, the listing continues to display ocean-facing images over 35 days later.

This stay required far too much time and effort to resolve basic matters, and the post-stay handling was particularly disappointing. I would advise future guests to be cautious and to verify room categories and charges carefully.

Good location, property has everything you need.

Cons:

The Miami Beach EDITION is a beautiful upscale hotel, with a great atmosphere(the air freshener especially!). However , unfortunately, it delivers an inconsistent experience. At this price level, I expect more and better.
Some examples:
Sometimes there’s turn-down room service; sometimes there’s not. Sometimes there are shower caps in the room bathroom; sometimes there are not. Sometimes they make the bed the way we asked; sometimes they don’t. The quality of the towels in the room as well as by the pool has gone down. The poolside deck chairs are very hard and uncomfortable. The public washrooms don’t get cleaned up often enough and, weirdly, they lack a proper waste paper basket…so they’re always messy. I’ll stop now. The restaurant is dark and lacks atmosphere and the menu selection is small
We stayed here last year and the human atmosphere has deteriorated. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful (thank you for the iPhone plug I needed in a rush), but the rest of the staff attitude seems random, especially because many of them do not even make eye contact when they see you.
Matador could have a greater selection and the room is too dark.

Great property with excellent service
Pros:

We spent 3 nights at Miami Edition and had a great experience. Check in was smooth and flawless Our Bell boy Martin not only helped us with our luggage but also helped us plan our activities during our stay.
Front office manager Sophy was amazing. She helped us get a room that we liked even when the hotel was running at full capacity.She made sure that we were having an amazing experience.
Breakfast area The Market had great spread and great food and drink options. Staff there were very good and attentive.
Special mention for Tatiana who always greeted us with a big smile and was very helpful.
We enjoyed swimming at the heated swimming pool.
The pool attendants quickly got our lounge chairs ready and made sure we were taken care of. There was plenty of water and sun screen available at the poolside.
Beach area is very convenient and we enjoyed walking at the beach. Unfortunately the Xmas winds prevented us from lounging and chilling at the beach more.
My wife had a great experience at the SPA. Rosemary at the spa gave her a great facial and provided service beyond expectations.
We also enjoyed room service. Both the food and service was excellent.
Overall we had a great stay and would love to return to this property.
