Being close to Diamond Head
na
Biggest storms of the century hit the islands but we still enjoyed out 6 day trip
4. It was very nice, clean, and welcoming. Just wish the room was a little bigger.
It was a great experience, great hotel
Hotel experience itself was excellent. Clean, quiet room. My issue was that the hotel added a 3 dollar donation to your bill without informing you. I only found this out after I checked out and received the final invoice. This seems pretty shady. When I called the front desk, they told me it was to help plant trees, no other description. However, they were polite and refunded my $3 without issue. When you check in, be sure to let them know to remove this and save yourself the trouble. To the hotel mangers, please remove this tax write off/junk fee. Not very aloha to me.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Greeted with Aloha every time. Very responsive to an issue with a room. 70 mph Kona winds and 10 inches of rain led to a leak. Mgr. came to room at 4:30 am to deal with it and got us another room. Hotel location is short walk from Wai-kiki beach and the main drag of shops. Two blocks from trolley stop. Go to concierge desk for trip scheduling. Go to “Rock and Roll Luau “. The show is very well produced and is a hoot.
Location was great! The hotel itself was wonderful and so was all the staff! We had a great time!
My stay was during a very windy, rainy storm, with a lot of power outages and businesses having to close or reduce service. Everything at the Queen was handled very well. All staff continued to be helpful, accommodating and cheerful. Guests I observed seemed to be content with the situation. There was even a false alarm requiring guests to leave their room via the stairs! I was on the 9th floor and going thru PT at home, but managed to get down to the 2nd floor before learning that all was ok. Guests took it very well; no complaints. There were at least 3 weddings when I was there, the ceremony taking place on the 3rd floor outside restaurant, bar and pool area, with Diamond Head in the background. Very nice venue.
Good job overall. I was very comfortable there.

I love the decor, especially the information items at elevators and supporting posters in hallways. The displays in the lobby are attractive and informative as are the paintings in the gallery on the 2nd floor - there are some great paintings there!
It is a great "Hawaii" hotel!
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Hotel is clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Very conveniently located. The Deck restaurant has good food and very convenient. The workout room is big and has many options. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its staff! Mahalo!
Hotel experience was great! Staff was amazing and always helpful and courteous! If it didn’t rain as much it would have been better but it’s part of life
Nice view from room 918. The air does come under the door to the lanai. Maybe blinds for that door. Restaurant staff very nice. Food was amazing. Mahalo!
The staff was wonderful. The hotel is old and not updated but the rooms were clean. You are in walking distances to the beach, bars, restaurants, zoo, and the auramine. It rained the whole time we were there so they had to close the pool. It's Hawaii so things are expensive but I felt we didn't over pay. We were here for a family wedding so it was a wonderful time no matter the weather.
The hotel is very well located walking distance from the beach, shops, bars & restaurants. It has a very good gym and a nice coffee bar.
The shower could be made more modern and parking was rather expensive.
Lovely hotel I loved the historical art …spacious room with a nice balcony…staff was awesome especially Mika at check in and kawai at parking stand…great walkable location…only thing I didn’t like was the $60 a day parking fee sure it’s valet but $60 plus tax a day is outrageous on top of the $50 a day resort fee…so if I stay again I won’t be renting a car.
For a solo visitor, studio room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Hotel feels like “Old Hawaii” but also modern.
The ocean view room was amazing, staff are super helpful and friendly! The location rocks!
Rooms were nice. Love the balcony. Rooms were super clean. Loved that the rooms were quiet. Service was also spectacular. The hotels at the best location of the island. You get a spectacular view of the crater and the beach. The atmosphere also felt welcoming. Parking was just overpriced at $60 a day.
The location of the hotel and the amenities were absolutely amazing as well as the restaurant inside not to mention they offer room service. I would 100 stay here again.
