Pros:

We stayed at the Voco Southampton recently and had a wonderful time. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was super comfy. All of the staff were so helpful and efficient even though it was clearly a busy period. Best of all was the bar and restaurant though. Really beautiful space and the food and drinks were amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. We felt incredibly well looked after - we’ll definitely be coming back.

Parking more expensive than Heathrow.
Pros:

Nice refurbishment of a tired old Holiday Inn. However, the parking charges are eyewatering. £20 to park overnight. That's more expensive than parking at an equivalent Heathrow hotel. Also, this isn't a five star hotel. It's 4 star at best.

Lovely hotel and we hope to return to prove that the unfortunate blips on our first stay were a one off
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with lovely bar and restaurant. Room was nicely decorated. Great breakfast.

Cons:

Not a great night’s sleep - we were on 2nd floor and were woken by couple arguing at the front of the property at 2.30am and a car alarm going off about an hour later. We appreciate that this was unlucky on both counts but still not great when we were only there for one night and had a big drive home the next day.
