Pleasant, quiet Location close to Lake ( 10 minute walk) , close to subway station, restaurants and stores, WholeFoods& TraderJoes, ; very comfortable beds ; clean & comfortable rooms; very attentive and friendly staff ; great cleaning and room service

Very pleasant. They work very hard here. Tuesdays they have charcuterie and wine for free as a happy hour.

My husband and I had the most wonderful wedding reception here! The venue (the grand ballroom) is beautiful, with a stunning staircase leading down into the room. Usually hotel banquet food isn't great, but the reception food was EXCELLENT -- it was actually one of the things I was most excited for, and our guests loved it! We had about 270 guests, which is probably near the max number the room can actually hold (w/ 2 buffet tables & no dance floor). They were also incredibly accommodating for children & babies -- they had kids' meals ready and also high chairs/booster seats set out at specific tables as requested with our assigned seating.

Maureen was also so awesome to work with!! She was so accommodating to all of our requests, big or small, and met with us several times to iron out details and make we felt okay w/ the arrangements. From the menu tasting to reserving side rooms for getting ready to surprise-upgrading our comped suite, we felt so taken care of. She was also present the night before and the whole day of the wedding to take care of any last-minute things. She and the rest of the staff were so warm and definitely helped us feel less stressed about the craziness of wedding planning. We have zero complaints whatsoever -- thank you so much for making our wedding day so special!!!

Very nice one week stay where staff was very professional and answered any questions that we had, especially Ramandani F. My wife’s issues were the room view and the aroma of the shower gel. LOL

The staff at the Orrington are top notch! The valets and the front desk folks made us feel welcome and provide good assistance when needed. The location is great - right in the middle of downtown Evanston and right next to Northwestern University.
Now that my daughter has graduated, I am sad that I won't need to stay there anymore! The Orrington is always my first choice when I stay in Evanston.

We had a party at the Orrington at one of their larger venues. The planning process was made super easy with Maureen, and the staff at the party were very attentive and kind. The venue itself was also lovely, especially at sunset.

Nicole Robacki helps with all my reservation requests. She always replies within minutes and take care of our every need. Very appreciative to have her on our side.

The Orrington Hotel was the perfect location to both Northwestern and the North Shore Suburbs. We had two huge rooms that were extremely clean and well appointed. The staff members were professional, helpful and kind. We will definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Orrington Hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location is right in downtown Evanston within easy walking distance of great shopping, fantastic restaurants, Northwestern University, and the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline.
My room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, making everything feel easy and enjoyable. I especially appreciated how quick and seamless both the check-in and check-out processes were.
Overall, a great experience in a fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again!

Orrington is a gem within the Evanston community and I would highly recommend staying at this location. It is perfectly located in downtown Evanston, which makes it easy to get to a variety of restaurants, venues, and the Northwestern Campus. The hotel has newly renovated guest and event spaces. My stay was very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. Looking forward to returning to this location.

I coordinated an event where we had 40 guests staying for 8 nights at the Orrington. The Assistant Director of Events was incredible and made the whole process a breeze. She helped coordinate breakfasts that accommodated all dietary needs while taking into their cultural backgrounds to ensure a robust breakfast for all. Check-in and out was smooth sailing and the whole hotel team was responsive to any needs that came up for the group! I highly recommend this hotel if you are coming to Evanston especially since it is in the perfect location and walking distance to the university campus, restaurants, bars, and transportation.
