Cons:

Our room heat was too high, tried lowering it to cool. But didn't work.
Didn't want to go to reception as staff was super prejudiced

Solid Points Overnight Stay
Pros:

We enjoyed an overnight points stay here. The hotel delivered exactly what we booked, no more, no less. . For context, we traveled with two large suitcases for a several-week trip Down Under. This shaped our view of room sizes and bathroom counter space.

Things we liked:
- A solid, clean, comfortable room. Plenty of room for our large bags, and good counter space in the bathroom.
- Breakfast buffet (free to Hilton Gold or better)! It’s advertised as “continental breakfast”, yet it is a full breakfast with hot items, and modest international offerings (some Asian, some European).
- Free drink for Hilton Gold or better.
- Nice location, next to Hagley Park. Easy 15 minute to downtown through the park during daylight hours; not sure it’s wise at dark.
- And, of course, the warm cookies.

Other notes:
- There is quite a variation in hotel rooms at this property. Examine the listing. We went on the cheap, and it was fine for 1 night.
- They use key cards and have in room safe.

Just a great location beautifully presented with attentive service
Pros:

Beautiful presentation in this classic hotel. Up to the usual high standard offered by Hilton. Good restaurant with good food and service. Very comfortable quiet room and the free parking close to the room was a plus. Really appreciated the location on the park.

Cons:

There was little not to like. The price was acceptable having booked well in advance and appreciated the 10% discount on food and beverages as a Hilton member

Lovely hotel in a good location
Pros:

Good sized rooms with a comfortable bed. Beautiful landscaped gardens. Great location close to the botanical gardens.
Restaurant was nice and we used it during our stay as no good local restaurants very near by. My only comments is the aubergine veggie option shouldn’t have potatoes - either another vegetable or pasta.
The breakfast buffet was comprehensive.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Great having a laundry on site.
