Obviously we stayed for the view. We roomed in 743 for a corner unit.
I didn’t like the child handprints of grease smeared on the dresser or the pasta smeared on the floor next to the bed and the pasta finger prints on the lamp shade. Also the safety hazard of the “outdoor sauna” that had not been viewed by an employee in days clearly because the ICE floor was a death trap. Huge liability.
I had a very good overall experience at this hotel. It was my first visit and I was very impressed with the rooms and customer service. I was especially impressed with the delicious food and attentive and knowledgeable service (Moses, my waiter) in the lobby restaurant!
We came for a long weekend to go enjoy the snow, my son and I had a wonderful time. As we arrived at the hotel, we had the warmest welcome with Ousmane, who was really nice. Jane at Lily May's coffee became my son's best friend, she really was the sweetest. And our room had a few minor problems, Raul and Natali got maintenance to fix it asap, and we received the most beautiful veggies/ fruit/ cookie platters. Overall, it was a great experience, and the staff only made things better.
The food is made fresh and is very tasty. Staff Mitch and Jane are both very friendly and welcoming. It makes the stay here extra cozy!
While staying at the hotel, I went to Lily May’s in the mezzanine. Chloe Egan was the sweetest employee yet! I’m so glad she works in customer service as she is a delight. Thank you for the amazing service and experience!
Chloe Egan at Lily May’s was awesome! Very friendly and made great drinks! And we appreciate you are a pet friendly hotel!
the coffee, vibe, and workers were awesome!! my server chloe was super friendly and i’m looking forward to going back!!
The experience overall was excellent. The young ladies at the service desk were not only very confident, but friendly welcoming. I would recommend the Champlain Hilton do anyone
Our lake view room had amazing views of the lake and was clean. Loved not having to drive to a restaurant because there was the Skiff restaurant that included fantastic food! Great service provided by Moses and the manager Gabe were outstanding!
Great experience all around. Moses in the restaurant was super friendly and gave us some good recommendations for our visit.
Location staff cafe and restaurant
Our room had a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. Taking the elevator up and down was easy and quick. The lounge and lobby areas were very pleasant and comfortable. The hotel's location is convenient to the lake and downtown Burlington.
Areas for improvement....Coffee from the coffee station on our floor was not very good (weak and tasteless). The pillows on our bed were a bit hard for me. Washroom area/toilet/shower were a bit dimly lit. The little table in our room was quite small but easy to move around.
Breakfast in most hotels is included. Was way too pricey. We walked to a diner. No ice machine on our floor. Coffee maker in the hallway station didn't work. The black paint in the room seemed too gothic and unfriendly. Creepy!
Location
Loved it all
Great location right by the water and a block away from church marketplace. The large chess set on the patio was fun as well as cornhole in another outdoor room. Staff was very nice and pleasant.
30 dollars for a typical continental breakfast, but we just walked somewhere nearby for breakfast.
Great gym
Second room had a nice view of the lake.
First room that we were put in had no desk, two bureaus only, view of the parking lot.
Paid extra for breakfast meals, when I checked in received two $10.00 certificates. Did not want a buffet $26.00 plus per person only wanted cereal. I was told that the cereal was part of the buffet had to pay $26.00. Was going to get two yogurts, one orange juice and one bagel, was told $40.00 I walked out, went to McDonalds. Parking was an extra charge as well. Two nights with parking cost $842.00 plus tax. What really turned me off with the hotel is getting screwed for breakfast. Will not recommend this hotel ever.
