Closie to airport and not too expensive as others
The shuttle bus was a complete nightmare to pick up from airport to take us to the hotel, it was full & we waited over an hour and a half!!
Ramiro Z. did a fantastic job at the bar. After getting stranded in Miami due to a flight delay., Ramiro hooked me up with an amazing dinner and plenty of cocktail to ease my stress.
Buffet breakfast was a little pricey. When we checked in I was pretty sure the front desk told us breakfast wasn't included but it was discounted. Common mens bathrooms outside the bar weren't automatically flushing . Pretty gross
We were delayed in Miami like 1/2 the world. Ha! With the government shutdown , TSA schedules and spring break. We found ourselves canceled and at this hotel. Tired, cranky and hungry. Hilda was a breath of fresh air. She responded immediately when I reported the room was cold and heater not operating. Maintenance came and was super pleasant but unable to fix the problem so she offered blankets and breakfast vouchers because we were unable to move rooms. (Hotel completely sold out). We were okay with that fix MAINLY due to Hilda and her professionalism, personality and genuine concern for us and our experience. Thank you.
....And shout out to the William and Angelica in the bar... also engaged and provided great customer service.
This property well exceeded my expectations!! We are Gold members and HGVC owners and have stayed at numerous Hilton properties. The DoubleTree will now be our #1 choice while staying in MIA!!!
The lobby was nice
The rooms are so dated and not worth the money
My stay was great and the staff was amazing. There is a great restaurant and bar in the lobby with nice food and fantastic drinks. The hotel also has a miniature mall attached. They are about 15 yaway from a TJ Maxx, Ross, and Publix plaza within a dollar tree by Uber.
I enjoyed my stay here, I hope if you choose double tree you enjoy yours

William at the bar and the management were amazing. After a frustrating day of travel, their good attitudes, level of service, and genuine hospitality were more than expected and made this stay so much more pleasurable. The best service.
The restrooms in the lobby also smelled so fresh and clean - very nice.
Angelica at the bar is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami International Airport & Convention Center. This is my fourth visit in less than a year, and every time she delivers the same outstanding hospitality. She’s professional, efficient, and always greets guests with a beautiful smile that makes you feel welcome right away. Service like hers truly stands out. Because of Angelica, I’ll gladly keep returning and highly recommend this hotel to others.
This rating is for Ramiro Z who worked in the restaurant. He was so courteous, polite, attentive, respectful and accountable! He made sure that all of our requests were accommodated and our needs were met. He is a true asset to this hotel!!
