Fantastic location and impressive shared areas. High quality breakfast in amazing dining area.
shower and tv slightly dated
Veľmi slabé raňajky. Úroveň 2* hotela.
Excellent location. 6 minutes walk to the Plaka and Zeus temple. 17 minutes walk to the Acropolis. Restaurants, grocery and tours office close nearby.
I booked executive room but it is very basic and the shower area is very small. No electric kettle for tea and coffee.
Location
Breakfast very badly organized and erratic.
Staff in bar area very poor response / reaction, one person doing the work, other person just sitting there saying it's not my job my colleague will be with one when he is ready.
Personal muy amable y buena ubicación

The views and front desk staff
The breakfast staff, smelly rooms, the dark room i was initially booked at was terrible in all means, no light or views to outside. No water kettle was so shocking.
Χρειάζεται περισσότερες πρίζες στο δωμάτιο και νέα τηλεόραση
Location was great, we had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the Zuse Temple and a view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. Good breakfast was included. Tour bus stops were close to the hotel as well as shops and restaurants.
Ļoti laba atrašanās vieta un ļoti labs skats no terases
Numuriņā nebija tējkannas un prasītos šo viesnīcu renovēt.
I booked Royal Olympic expecting a genuine five-star experience in Athens. Unfortunately, the stay did not meet that standard. The main issue was service—inconsistent, not professional, and lacking the attention to detail you expect from a hotel that positions itself as luxury.
What disappointed me most is the mismatch between the hotel’s marketing and the reality on the ground. When you choose a five-star property, you’re paying for reliable standards: guest care, proactive service, and quality control. In my case, those basics were not delivered, and the experience felt closer to a mid-range hotel than a premium one.
To be fair, the location is excellent and the area around the hotel is beautiful. The view can also be very nice depending on the room. But those strengths do not compensate for the overall hospitality level.
I’m sharing this because star ratings matter, especially for international travelers who may only visit Athens once. Based on my experience, Royal Olympic does not provide the level of service and overall quality that the five-star label implies. I would not stay again and would suggest looking at alternatives in the same price range.
The first impression is impressing and the view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. So if you want a nice view for the mediocre breakfast you MIGHT get it. Might because the hotel is a labyrinths, access can be closed. The rooms are and especially bathrooms are old and worn, not what you expect from 5star hotel. There is few amenities and asking for some is hard.
Because here is the thing; the personnel are extremely rude. The behave like they are the gods of Olympus, easy to anger and making life of us mere mortal guest as hard as possible.
So save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.
I like only the location
The room is like a cell in prison. And very hot even in the winter; there is no enough fresh air ; and the air condition was only hot and when we talk to the receptionist she said the cold just air without AC .
