I certainly would not recommend nor come back.
Pros:

Breakfast hours did not work for us.

The room cleanliness, odor and overall upkeep was subpar at best. I have never had this sort of experience at a Homewoods Suites and im well traveled. As a traveling nurse Homewood suites are usually my first go to with all my travel ventures, after this stay I have second thoughts on that. Some of the staff were not welcoming and sounded annoyed with my complaints which were very valid as unacceptable. 1st room smelled so bad of dirty carpet it was unbearable in addition to a good sized, very obvious bug flying around the room. 2nd room smelled better however wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Something that must've spilled on the dresser where the TV sat was still there. The bathroom door took some serious muscle to open and close the door. The dishes were not clean. We just dealt with it bc the staff weren't apologetic of our issues and made us feel as if we were the problem for having better expectations. Especially with the brand and cost we expected more, unfortunately it felt more like a Motel 6...which I've never stayed in, in my life!!

A beautiful first trip to the Windy City.
Pros:

Location, facilities, size of room, staff were excellent, breakfast was great and needs were met

Cons:

Maybe just a little expensive, but it’s a major city so I get it. Honestly, would stay again.

Great Location, But the Hotel Needs Improvement
Pros:

The suite had several maintenance issues, including lights that were not working, peeling tape around the door, and a cracked cooktop. The room felt like it needed more attention and upkeep, which made our stay less comfortable.

The breakfast was also disappointing. The selection was very limited, and the food quality was not what we expected.

We also did not feel very welcomed during our stay. The staff did not seem very attentive to guests' needs, and the overall service experience could have been much better.
The positive side is the location-the hotel is a short walk to Lake Michigan and nearby attractions, which was convenient.

Overall, the location is great, but the room condition, breakfast, and service need improvement. We would not choose to stay here again.

LOCATION was great for walking distance to Soldier Field

Eigenlijk alleen de locatie die is top

Het is niet wat je van Hilton zou verwachten. Dat de gangen dan nog wat vies zijn dat kan gebeuren.
Maar ons bed was wel echt heel erg!
Vooral het bank bed. Het matras zat vol gore plekken. Echt vies. Konden we naar een andere kleinere kamer maar met een slechte badkamer. lekkere keuze. Er was geen house keeping om nog het bankbed op te maken dus 1 persoon had geen bed.
Nog aangeboden zelf matrassen te wisselen en bed op te maken. De receptie wilde niet helpen. Maar dat mocht niet. Uiteindelijk koffers gepakt en naar een ander hotel gegaan.
Wat een slecht hotel dit!!

This hotel is a poorly-managed money-gouging property with superficial accommodations funneling money to the higher-ups
Pros:

The room was spacious and met our family’s needs.

Cons:

Before arriving communication was lacking. I had to follow up 3 times and still didn’t get answers to my questions. Upon check-in I had to locate my own checked bags in the storage room. The hotel was not transparent about early check-in fees. The crib was not placed in the room before we arrived as requested. Only one of two elevators worked for the majority of my stay causing long wait time. The breakfast room lacked sufficient seating for guests and only had 2 high chairs. There was typically at least one parent at any given time having to feed their baby on their laps. Coffee often ran out. There was sometimes only one employee in charge of the entire dining area. Finally when calling the front desk to request more coffee pods, they said “no problem” and they never arrived.

Beautiful hotel the staff is very nice just the women that is the lead for breakfast is rude and seems to discriminate

Cons:

I’ve come to the hotel a couple of times. The lady that is the head supervisor possibly for breakfast is rude and definitely seems racist. She stares at the black people and ask a million questions or just watches you. Doesn’t do that with any other race of people. Very uncomfortable experience. Although I like the hotel and amenities a lot. Her alone has made me change my mind on coming to that location because it’s a constant thing with her.

No evening reception
Pros:

Hotel is great and location is close to museum campus. My only complaint is they are not doing the evening reception, despite listing it on their website. This hotel only does it Wednesday evenings but they didn’t even have it on Wednesday even though the front desk gives you an info sheet at check in saying they do. When I spoke to the front desk, they were just like ‘oh, I guess they’re not doing it. They didn’t do it last week either.’ They were so nonchalant about not having an amenity they advertise.
