Good location. Close to many places You’ll want to visit. Very low water pressure. Also the bed frame cut me because of the sharp edge.
We had two reservations because of our Hyatt award redemption, which Hyatt customer service couldn't combine, but the amazing gentleman at the front desk was able to fix. I was not looking forward to moving rooms. We had a suite at the end of the hall which was quiet, but a walk from the elevators especially since we stayed for 4 nights.
The neighborhood is easy to walk as we made our way to all the tourist sights. We had dinner in Chinatown just a couple blocks away one night. We walked to the Freedom Trail starting point. With Boston Common so close we went a couple of times. The T line was also near by. We had a car for a couple of days and the valet was efficient and friendly. We tried both the buffet and menu breakfast, and enjoyed both options. The highlight of the buffet was the omelet station. The highlight of the menu was the avocado toast.
We look forward to returning.
We stayed here for one week while visiting Boston. The hotel is in a great location with downtown crossing station close by. Macy’s is underneath and primark and other shops outside the hotel. There is a supermarket close by the hotel.
The rooms were comfortable, spacious and cleaned every day. There is a fridge, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room. The room had air conditioning or windows that could be opened a small amount if preferred.
There is a gym and swimming pool.
We ate in the restaurant twice, staff were friendly and the clam chowder was nice.
Overall a lovely hotel, the only reason I put 4 stars rather than 5 was due to the access to the hotel. One arrival there are 2 elevators to go up to reception, at this time it was fine as we had our luggage with us but I’m not a fan of elevators and don’t like using them unless I really have to (eg heavy luggage) we checked in and I asked if there were stairs available as I don’t particularly like the elevators, I was told there was the emergency exit stairs that could be used to get to the guest rooms from reception. That was fine and I was happy with that however when coming down the stairs I could only get as far as reception and then I was forced to go in the elevators to
get to the street which I really didn’t want to do. It looked as though the stairs went to the street level but if I opened the doors it felt as though an alarm might be set off therefore I had to head back to reception and get out via elevators. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and including USA and Canada. All had staircases that were accessible using the room key, I’m not sure why it is different here. If you do not like elevators or confined spaces this hotel is best avoided. I asked 3 different members of staff if there was stair access in and out but there didn’t seem to be. Also the fitness area appeared to only be accessible by stairs which i was happy about as i don’t like the elevator but I don’t know how a disabled person would access the gym and pool if they wanted to. Everything about access around the hotel was bizarre to me. There should be options of elevators and stairs for every area.

The Hyatt Regency exceeds expectations with excellent location, service, atmosphere and the employees are so very nice and helpful. We enjoyed 5 days at this hotel and highly recommend it. We will return and stay at this hotel on future trips.
Very nice stay, and a very nice globalist suite upgrade. Breakfast was ok; definitely better than your average hotel breakfast but some Hyatts do better :-)
Great hotel, very convenient location and all the amenities were spectacular. Many sites and activities were walkable, the food in the hotel was great, and the gym was clean and full of good equipment.
Excellent location, within walking distance from all tourist attractions such as freedom trail, waterfront area, Faneuil Market, etc.
The hotel was beautiful. The location was perfect, close to a T station, the Boston Commons and many other attractions. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel.
Lack-luster. We were on time for check in but they didn’t have the room ready. So we had to leave our bags at the desk without checking in before our night out. They offered us a drink coupon as consolation, which was amusing. Lobby was noisy, crowded with people who also could not check in, and touristy (t maps, flight listings). There is no door on the bathroom. Buffet breakfast was ok. Decor is gray.
Visited for kids' graduations in Boston. Location was fine-- close to the T. Rooms were a bit rundown-- it's probably time for a refresh. The bathroom counters were separating from the cabinetry, the shower hose leaked, the carpet was well worn.
While the hotel’s location is excellent and the lobby restaurant serves good food, the room condition did not meet my expectations. The accommodations appeared outdated: the lampshades and bedsheets were stained, and both the toilet bowl and the sink's faucet were severely scratched with metal. The shower plate incorrectly indicates the water temperature direction. This mislabeling led to confusion and water waste before I realized the hot and cold sides were reversed.I have attached a photo of the stained bedsheet for your review. (I chose not to take photos of the bathroom fixtures during my stay, but the wear is highly visible).
Went to Boston for a long weekend vacation. The hotel is in a very nice location, the staff were wonderful, and the room was very comfortable.
Overall, the stay was extremely pleasant. I loved the sparkling water dispenser in the lobby. The noise level was low to none. The floors were very cleverly designed for reducing sound from hallways to the rooms. My room was near a main corridor for my floor and I barely heard outside or my neighbors. This was impressive considering I stayed because of a major conference.
Perfect location to relax or explore! Great staff, eager to assist.
Facilities for food and exercise were clean and plenty of options. Pool and area clean and organized.
The hotel location is GREAT, very convenient. The rooms is big and clean, and quiet. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, thanks to the excellent front desk team. Kendall assisted with check-in with a warm smile, acknowledged my Hyatt Globalist status, and patiently ensured we got a great room. She also personally followed through at checkout to make sure all my charges were correct and the process was seamless—truly professional and attentive. The staff, including Sarah, were always friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The highlight, however, was Chris Bailey. On my last night, my room had not been serviced despite multiple housekeeping requests. Chris handled the situation exceptionally—he listened carefully, apologized sincerely, and resolved the issue immediately with professionalism and genuine care. He even followed up personally to explain the possible cause and ensure it wouldn’t happen again. Thanks to him, housekeeping came promptly, and I felt truly valued as a guest.
Chris’s leadership and dedication to customer service made my stay memorable. I will definitely return to this hotel because of him and the outstanding front desk team and will gladly recommend it to family and friends.
Great location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go or grab a short taxi. Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again next time I'm in Boston.
Beautiful hotel, great location. Staff was friendly, helpful. Bed was comfortable. Stayed here twice and would definitely stay again.
We have stayed at this hotel 10+ times when visiting Boston. Such a great location, great staff, and great hotel overall. There is no reason to stay anywhere else if visiting the area!
Excellent hotel. Celebrated our friends 50th birthday in Boston. The whole staff was very friendly and very helpful suggesting dinner locations or giving us walking directions. Room was comfortable and fit 4 adults nicely. Queen beds were amazing.
I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel. It was very easy to the south Street station and to the conference center. the staff was great, the gym was very nice. The food was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience
