Temptation Cancun Resort All Inclusive - Adults Only

This place has changed and not for the better. This was our 9th trip and because of the friends we travel with we still had a blast, but it’s not nearly as fun and enjoyable as it used to be to be. The new GM or head of operations since the original owner passed away has started running this place into the ground. He has fired or ran off some of the core long time employees who made this place great. Barely any playmakers entertaining during the day, less playmakers, the day time parry doesn’t get going till later in the day, the bash part at night has a hard shut down time at 2am when it use to go till 3 or even 4am as long as people were there having fun, the new rules and changes to contracts and taking away benefits that are already in place is taking away from the whole reason to being a member, fire the new head of operations or whatever his title is and hire some one who knows what this place has always been about and make it an awesome place to make a repeat vacation spot!

Beautiful resort . Excellent view and great food . Nice rooms . Very professional staff and management .

My only complaint is the music. To keep it simple maybe just play the top 40 or get a DJ who knows how to read the room. Play music that actually gets people dancing. More hip hop and R&B

I met some really fantastic people during my stay. However, for the price I pay I expected much more, especially when it comes to top shelf, liquor and amenities. I’ve been to other higher end resorts for lower cost that have mini bars in the room that are stocked with what you request and the food is actually good. There’s definitely a party scene here however the grounds maintenance work, and the fact that my ceiling fell in on me while I was there then leaking water all over the floor from the exposed AC unit. There was no lighting in the bathroom. Definitely do not make me want to return. All the silly up-charges are ridiculous. For my first experience I expected much more and will continue to go to higher rated quality resorts with better amenities minus the party and find the party elsewhere. Oh and same music plays over and over every night

New management is horrible!!!! We go to Temptation every 2 months. We spoke with one of the managers, Sergio and addressed our concerns about how negative many of the new sudden changes are. He informed us that "If you aren't happy with the changes, you don't need to come here, you can go somewhere else". Mind was blown and we were speechless!!! The staff are all killing themselves to try to make sure guests are having a great time, but you can clearly see the level of stress they are all dealing with. The staff truly cares, but new management clearly couldn't care less and it shows at all levels of tye Temptation experience!!!

The staff here is amazing! I especially found the waiters to be. I’m on the best that I have experienced. Professional Fast, friendly, personal, and enthusiastic. But most of all, very genuine. Reyez in the morning at breakfast was always warm and friendly. He made me feel like I was a friend and important to him. All of my needs were attended to and done so in such a way that made me experience true joy I have made many, many trips to Mexico before, and he was certainly my favorite waiter.

Having stayed at this resort 17 times, we knew its heart, its energy, and its soul. But after this stay, it is clear: management has officially killed the only thing that made this property special. They seem to think "sexy" is just pink paint on a building; they don't realize it was the atmosphere and the guests—both of whom have been driven away.

A "Me-Too" Resort at Twice the Price
What used to be a unique, high-energy adult playground is now just another worn-out, 3-star Cancun hotel. It feels like an old Walmart with a dirty pool. They have stripped away the value and replaced it with a "pan-handler" service model, nickel-and-diming guests at every turn. You are paying twice the price for not even half the fun.

The "Adult" Vibe is Dead
The legendary theme nights are a ghost of their former selves. Participation has cratered because the themes aren't sexy anymore. Instead of provocative adult fun, we’re now subjected to middle-school pool games.

The Music - The DJs are completely out of touch. They play the same repetitive playlist every day, showing a total inability to read the crowd. To make matters worse, the pool closes far too early, cutting the day short.

The Food - The dining experience has plummeted to "prison-grade" quality. It is bland, uninspired, and frankly insulting given the nightly rate.

Facility Failures - The beach is arguably the worst in Cancun, and the rooms are showing deep neglect. Most concerning was the yellow water in the bathroom—a clear sign of contamination that management seems to ignore.

The Verdict - The management has traded a loyal, vibrant community for an overpriced mess. They’ve killed the "sexy" and kept the grime. If you're looking for the iconic Temptation experience, look elsewhere. The party is officially over.

Totally not the same! Main complaint is the playmakers don't get to be as wild as they used to. The party vibe was way down. Food is still mid at best. And they keep trying to upsell everyone. And the pool used to have a soft close especially the quit pool but now they bounce you out of everything at 6. Can't see myself doing this over hedo in Jamaica! Might just do riu and walk over to the cruise. Can't see why I'd stay here.

The pool was ICE cold, could not even get in it. The hot tub was not even warm. DJ was awful, only played techno. Pool games were kid friendly. Bring back the old Temptation and JJ.

This new manager they have from Dubai sucks. He's driving the place into a sheeyit hole. Verbally abuses the employees saying they're fat and replaceable and will be replaced with all male playmakers. The vibe isnt what it used to be. This was a very unique experience curated to the open minded traveler seeking an experience like no other resort in Cancun could offer. They break contracts all the time as far as the perks included and the service exclusive to being a member and beneficiary. He made them turn the music way down at the pool and required it to close at 6pm instead of 7pm. He has also fired SO MANY employees who were there for years that guests form friendships with and know you by name whenever you came back to visit. As if the beach this resort is on doesnt suck enough, now this? The room rates are ridiculously higher than they used to be, the playmakers aren't even allowed to hug the guests they've known for years. Im part of their facebook group and everyone is saying the same thing. How can 63k people have the same opinion? If you want a topless party experience, go to Vegas, Hedonism, Desire or just do the Temptation cruise. Thats what I'm gonna do next- more like the old Temptation vibe. Soon this won't be a topless resort anymore if the Dubai manager has his way and its not surprising if you consider the restrictions that culture places on women's dress code.

Not sure what changed at the resort but it is now overpriced, the music at the pool sucks and is too low. It feels like the playmakers are being held back and we didn't see any of the longtime ones that brought energy. We have never seen it so dead and party vibe is gone.

I would like to leave a review as a guest that is presently still at the resort. Overall it's a great place, food is good, clean, with great vibies for all ages.Here are the frustrations that we are currently experiencing. 

1. The music by the pool and night entertainment need more dance/techno music that are current. It seems that the entertainment staff is stuck in early 2000's. There should be better music choices. The music is the same every night. It's ridiculous. Be different with music choices, otherwise it's like any other hotel.

2. The reservations for dinner for the restaurant "She"does not justify waiting for guests with no guarantee of the spot. Why cants the hotel have an app for all the guests to make reservations online without wasting their vacation time.

Food is trash. Very mid at best. Do not become a member. They promise you all these things then take them away and there's nothing you can do about it. The pool vibes are fun but alcohol is watered down. Not as much fun as it use to be but the people make it a good time. The parties play mostly techno music, not much of mixture of music in the evenings and everything dies down shortly after it gets started. Could be so much better but new management is just running this place in the toilet. Go during peak times for the most fun but a long stay isn't needed. Definitely go on the Boob Crusie for the experience.

Writing an honest review about the property because honestly the reviews i have seen here were very far from what we experienced. We had an amazing time. Stagf was friendly and helpful. Check in was pretty simple. Not too many people trying to sell upgrades any more than usual spots. Food was good, I mean it is an all inclusive, they arent going to give out 5 star meals every-time you eat, but overall the selection and flavors are good. She restaurant experience was awesome. Dancers were great and put on a sensual performance. Thats the one complaint I may have, the reservation process for dinners could not be any more ridiculous. Day of only and certain times only. Who wants to wait in an hour line for a reservation when they are trying to have fun and get their moneys worth at the resort. The place isnt exactly cheap! Rooms were nice! Booked tower room w ocean view. Great layout, great design, sexy bathroom. Only issue here is all balconies can see into room so it ur not into that just be careful. Lol. Blinds do go down fyi. Party scene was lively and fun. Lot of participants in the themes and women are dressed very sexy so dont be shy on theme nights. Pool parties are fun, but i would have to agree here with some other reviewers, games are a bit boring and child like. I was expecting sexier fun, but it was out first time so we werent sure what to expect. Playmakers do a great job but they could step up their games wuite a bit. As for the topless part, theres many topless women but definately not everyone. So if u want to stay clothed no problem at all or no pressure. Id say it was about 50/50. Older,younger, and all races participated. Theirs no reason to be shy as no one judges and its part of the fun experience. As for some stuff i read about swingers. They are there for sure but no one once bothered or asked us to participate. Is say if ur looking for it you can find it but if you are like us and just wanted sexy time for yourself thats totally fine too. So try something new and go enjoy. If u have a bad time at this place you may need to reevaluate your life. Lol. Enjoy

We're here now. This is our 3rd time here. We used to love this place. They sold out of the rooms we were supposed to get. A queen size bed with a trendy ocean view. Now, they're downgrading our room to 2 twin beds and located in a different area. We have been at the check in counter for two hours trying to resolve this issue. We had to involve our travel agent and our credit card, customer service department. We have talked to 3 representatives from this pathetic resort.

The staff is absolutely horrible. They gave us the option to pay more for the original room we booked. Why would I pay more for a room I already reserved and I already paid for?

This place is a joke. Stay clear of this resort. It's gone downhill. They literally do not care about customer service and will treat you like crap.

This is our 4th time here and I will NEVER come back to this unprofessional resort.

Lots of changes in this resort over the last couple of months. They are under new management or something like that. Not sure if they are still owned by the same company that owns Desire, but this place is rock-bottom compared to Desire now. What happened to our favorite resort?

Cutting of good staff closing of two restaurants in a night so there’s nowhere to go and eat buffet not happening during the night. I would like to dress up and get served for dinner thank you. Pool games changed not taken care of their staff taking things away from Premier members and beneficiaries up charges on tables for the Club should not have to pay for a table to go to the club up charge on this up charge on that that’s all they wanna do money money, money money, grabbing church more than they should ever charge for a member when they have already paid for their membership and then the fees have gone up almost doubled in the past few years that we’ve been going out of all go back. It’s a definite one star from me.

So, this will be the first time I wrote a review while still staying here. This place is going so far downhill so fast. They are making changes that are not in line with what this resort is based on. They are destroying the staff and the moral here. Nothing is what it was before and what contractually you signed up for. As premier members they are chopping away at what we are contractually obligated to have but the cost and time to fight isn’t worth the bang v/s buck. Do not do a membership here, do not fall for it. Do not book here, find another resort to actually enjoy your time. We have been coming for 9 years now and boy have things changed. The management and owners here need a true wake up call and need to remember why their father built and hold those values and don’t forget the customer first. The let’s play attitude!

This was our 5th visit, we had a good time, lots of laughs! I'm a people watcher, so this place kept me busy watching the people!!
Food was great. Tried all restaurants, never had a bad meal.
Rooftop pool and bar great for lunch,
All the staff are great, happy to help at any given time, bartenders, waiters, even check in staff!!
2 issues- the birds around the pool so annoying, taking food, pooping in the water!! Grosssssss.
Also the rooms have a musty smell. We had 2
Rooms and both smell after the AC ran. I realize it's the Caribbean and dampness is a given but wondering if AC should

We were super happy with the resort and the first one to ever that convinced us to purchased membership. We regret doing so. The first visit in May 2025, we totally loved the DJ and outdoor nightclub setting. This last visit, the DJ was terrible. The rooms, especially furniture need updating. They gave us a Lobster Dinner voucher, booked the restaurant, but did not communicate to the restaurant that we had the Lobster dinner. The server told us we could not get Lobster. We still have the voucher, The pool parties were super boring, the DJs and playmaker energy xas super low. On New Year's Day, the staff seemed like they were forced to join the celebration. Heard the owner passed away. Whomever took over messing with everything. Other guests were also complaining.
