The staff here goes the extra mile. The front desk shows you vs tells you. The Sea Grille is terrific and the Dark Bar ambiance is perfect for a nightcap. The service staff sets an INCREDIBLE room. Harbor views. Business meeting space & breakouts are terrific. I highly recommend the Boston wharf hotel.
We stayed May 2- May 4, 2025-- May 3rd 2025, I came from Canada to Boston with my Mom and Aunt to see Mel Robbins. We decided to "treat" ourselves and stay at this luxury hotel. The day of our event I called the valet to bring my car up and for 40 minutes we just stood there outside the hotel waiting. Finally the manager brought us inside the front lobby to tell me my 5 day old vehicle had been crashed in their parking garage by the valet. I was instructed to go enjoy our event (Mel Robbins) and that my vehicle was "driveable" The valet had negligently driven my vehicle staight into the closed parking garage gate, took out a cement pole, and then slammed into the wall. I was devasted and stressed beyond words. Suffice it to say I did not enjoy our event as I was dealing with the damaged car. They did not offer to drive us in their hotel SUV, we had to get an UBER on our own dime. While at the event, security sent photos of my vehicle to me which was damaged beyond the limits of being able to drive it back to Canada. I asked for security footage, they claimed there was none but I find that hard to believe a luxury hotel would not have cameras everywhere. I also asked if the valet would be tested for drugs and alcohol and no answer was given to me.
We needed to leave the next day and had to rent a vehicle and leave my vehicle behind. While back in Canada, it took over a week to hear from their insurance and then it was one massive stressful event trying to get them to appaise, fix and return my vehicle. I was treated as if I was the one who did the damage instead of the victim in all of this. Instead of replacing my 5 DAY old vehicle they repaired it with an extensive list of over $30,000 US in damages. I did not get my vehicle back until July 2025. The hotel also did not offer to comp our stay which is very surprising. They hire young inexpereinced people to valet the vehicles. Instead of spending money on experience professionals they let any teen with a license drive your vehicle. We trusted in them to have had someone carefully park our vehicle and that is definitely not we got. I am very dissappointed on how this was handled and how little the hotel seemed to care about what had occured.
The staff were courteous and attentive. The room was immaculate and comfortable, particularly the bed. The view was exceptional. The experience was very enjoyable .
Beautiful overnight stay for a concert on the city.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with an incredible staff.
Can't recommend enough.
The hotel is clean with friendly staff, comfortable beds, large rooms, and great views.
It is conveniently located near a lot of off-site entertainment and dining options within walking distance.
However, the room is extremely expensive, as is the on-site dining. We ate on-site because I got a $100 voucher through AMEX. Dinner for two cost me $110 for two cocktails, a split appetizer (which are actually portioned for 1 person, unlike most restaurants that are portioned for 4-6), a split entree, and a split side dish. Tax and tip brought the bill to $138. Note that we are light eaters also would normally not be enough food to satiate two people.
At that price point - meaning, upscale dining - the service was sub-par, the presentation of the dishes was meh, and the quality of the flavors were poor.
Also had a $90 breakfast voucher and spent $30 of it getting two coffees, 4 hard boiled eggs, and a 4oz piece of overcooked salmon.
Without the $300 AMEX travel voucher and additional dining vouchers, this place wouldn't be worth the money.
Beautiful hotel with exceptional service right on Boston Harbor. Great location - easy to walk to many historical places and great restaurants. Excellent service - views of the water from the room were stunning.
Location is excellent, especially if you want to explore anything along the harbor or seaport. Room was clean and comfortable. For an older hotel, everything is upgraded. Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had a lovely harbor view which was very relaxing. Though there was a little noise at times from the ferries, it was actually nice to watch the activity on the harbor. We were only there for one night so we did not use any amenities.
The room and view was spectacular. The hotel itself was incredible and excellently located for all the tourist attractions we wanted to do. The service was amazing nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing, everything exceeded expectations
Everything was smooth and the staff did an amazing job making us feel welcome.
style service location
style is elegant reflection of yesterday year so creates the old American vibe that you want from trip to Boston.
Service was warm friendly efficient and matched the elegance of the hotel.
Location is on the water so quieter than city centre but still easy access to T and Boston south station. Hotel has great walks to old town or new seaport districts via harbour walk way.
Nothing.
This was our first time staying at this hotel. We had a gorgeous view of the waterfront. We appreciated the close proximity to the North End, Faneuil Hall, and the public path through the Seaport District. The staff was friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and classic. We enjoyed the convenience of the Dandelion Coffee shop right at the entrance. We also loved the heath club in the basement, complete with a full sized lap pool, fully stocked fitness area and a golf simulator! We will be staying here again.
Very impressed, everything worked well and the staff were very excellent.
Special mention for Andrea who looked after us in the restaurant.
I reserved a king size bed face to the harbor. And they overbook the reservation for this room. And gave a horrible wheelchair-accessible room.
Our room had a magnificent view of the harbour
There was no outside space to sit
