We stayed during the Tall Ships event, and our experience exceeded every expectation. I had made several specific requests when booking our reservation months in advance, and every single one was honored. It was clear that the staff paid close attention to every detail.
Everyone at the hotel was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We enjoyed beautiful views, our room was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, and every meal we had was delicious.
The only disappointment was that we didn’t have more time to stay. We can’t wait to return!
Exceptional hotel with excellent, caring staff who made our stay even more enjoyable. Rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Attention to detail and special attention to our birthday celebration was a wonderful surprise. Our room had an outstanding view of the beautiful harbor and we loved watching the boats on the water. The nightly entertainment on the harbor stage was wonderful.
I booked the Boston Harbor Hotel very far in advance because I wanted a hotel on the waterfront for the Sail Boston tall ships event. I booked a harbor view room and I was thrilled to have a front row seat for an incredible sunrise, the tall ship parade, the evening fireworks and the general festivities on the waterfront. The room had windows that opened so we could also enjoy the live music in the evening. Except to enjoy breakfast at the hotel restaurant we stayed in our room the entire day as we watched a magnificent spectacle. Even without a special event, the hotel is perfect for enjoying the busy harbor, the flights coming and going at the airport and the lights of the seaport.
Multiple times my husband complimented me for knocking it out of the park with the location.
The hotel is direct harbor front and close to many seaport attractions.
This is a high-end, higher priced hotel and may not be practical for everyone or when you just need a place to lay your head. But, it is a great option for a special occasion when you might enjoy your room or hotel as the "destination." As a treat I booked a romance package that included champagne, chocolate strawberries, parking and breakfast. It was delightful enjoying those amenities.
Front start to finish our visit was wonderful. The valet, front desk, bellman, room service staff were all warm, welcoming and friendly.
The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. There is a harbor view restaurant, a lovely coffee shop with baked goods and small breakfast and lunch bites, as well as an indoor and outdoor bar.
Our stay was memorable because of the special events of the weekend, but made even more special because of the wonderful experience we had as a guest of the hotel.
I wish we could give it a perfect rating. We had a mini suite. Clean, comfortable and quiet (but for the emergency vehicles). One issue was the A/C decided it was winter in hot July at 8pm. Staff had it fixed in an hour. The other was I got a rash from either the soup used for the towels or the body wash that's offered. Don't know which. Its gone in a week. Easy walk to Mike's Bakery for the best cannolis you ever had and other Italian goodies. You haven't had Italian until you've dined in Boston's Little Italy. Also located near the Aquarium metro station for a easy hop to the Commons.
My go to desired hotel when visiting Boston - niche luxurious hotel with a lovely personal touch. Food, facilities and the staff are excellent and really make you feel like a guest as opposed to another traveller
Location was perfect.
I believe I was charged for two extra items from mini bar that we didn’t use, but didn’t realize that until I got home and reviewed my bill.
This is an amazing hotel! We stayed here to watch the arrival of the Tall Ships in a very comfortable and spacious room overlooking Boston Harbor so a perfect vantage point! Service is impeccable and the location is ideal, not only for the Tall Ships but also for a dance and dinner cruise on the Odyssey the night before. A truly fantastic experience start to finish and we will definitely return soon!
Extraordinary hotel with fabulous room, view, clean and exemplary service. Part of our 50th wedding anniversary celebration
The Boston Harbor Hotel lives up to its 5 stars. From check-in to check-out the staff was attentive and so professional. The rooms are appointed beautifully and the view from our room was stunning. We loved the Frette linens and the Diptyque soaps and lotions.
Awesome location, outstanding customer service, and great food. The beds are most comfortable too.
Great location! We had a delicious dinner at Sea Grille. Friendly staff and rooms are beautiful. We enjoyed our one night stay and would definitely go back.
I stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel (BHH) for two nights in late June. As always, my stay at the BHH was flawless. All services and amenities were exemplary. All staffers were thoroughly professional and always very helpful. I have been traveling to Boston regularly for several years. I wouldn't consider staying at any other hotel in town. I look forward to my next stay to the BHH. A+ all around!

It was an amazing experience with all of the FIFA happenings in Boston and the 250th celebration. From driving in, and checking in, everything was streamlined to perfection. We had a picturesque view of the harbor and all the boats. We experienced the fireworks from our hotel room overlooking the harbor. The service and experience was over the top. It was a very hot 4th of July weekend, the hotel was providing guests with buckets of ice and complimentary water. It was my second year returning for the holiday and I look forward to checking in, each year.
I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Sheila Rice at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Sheila first helped me with a reservation several years ago, and I recently reached out to see if she could help make our Tall Ships Parade of Sail weekend a little more special. Just as I remembered, she responded quickly with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care.
It’s so refreshing to work with someone who goes above and beyond to help guests. Thank you, Sheila, for your outstanding assistance—it truly means a lot. It’s also important to know that Sheila along with several others have been there well over 25 years, that says a lot about their people and leadership.

We’re looking forward to returning to the Boston Harbor Hotel and, as always, can’t wait for Sunday morning breakfast on the 1928 Rowes Wharf patio overlooking the harbor. It’s one of our favorite Boston traditions!
Our recent stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Traveling into the city was a breeze, as the hotel is an incredibly quick and easy trip from the airport. Our room was well-appointed, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable. This served as a perfect retreat because the weather in Boston was unusually hot and humid during most of our trip. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room impeccably clean, servicing it frequently to ensure we always had a fresh, cool space to return to.
Highlights of our stay:
Spectacular Views: The view over the harbor was great, and we were even treated to a fantastic view of the fireworks on Thursday night right from the property.
Top-Notch Amenities: The health club facility is truly high-end and well-maintained.
Convenient Dining: Having excellent restaurants on-site came in handy when we were too exhausted from sightseeing to venture out further at the end of the day.
Flawless Service: Every single staff member we encountered throughout our stay was friendly, courteous, and eager to help.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Boston and look forward to returning!
Our experience was wonderful. The staff is so attentive, everything is so clean, and the hotel just has a relaxing, wonderful smell. i especially love the pool area/hottub/sauna. So relaxing.
Loved our 4-night stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel over the July 4th weekend! From the moment we checked in with Natalie at the front desk, it was superb. The room itself was more than we expected and the view of the harbor was stunning.
Even though we had done our research about the weekend festivities, we still had questions and the head concierge Nathan was more than helpful steering us in the right direction. So knowledgeable and friendly.
We were also very pleased with the amenities in the guest room, and the housekeeping staff was great! It was so nice to return each afternoon to a clean and tidy room, with everything restocked. This was our first time staying at BHH, and we will surely return. Thank you for a fabulous weekend in the great city of Boston!

We had a fabulous stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel over the Fourth of July holiday. Our Harbor Room offered a spectacular view of the fireworks and the harbor, making the celebration even more memorable.
The cocktails at both Dark Bar and Dandelion were excellent, and the service at each was outstanding.
Housekeeping kept our room spotless, and the doormen were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
