Enjoyed my night here. I'm a regular due to the price. Hotel provides great value and I wanted to leave a review to shout out the Cambodian kid working the desk. He was very welcoming and treated me like a high value guest. Out of all the nights I've stayed here in the past this was the first time I was actually greeted at the door and didn't have to wait at the front for someone to come out of the office. I did run into ac problem and he was able to get that fixed right away and the best part was the follow up to reassure it was fixed. Great service!
⭐ 1/5 – Absolute disgrace
Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Rude and unhelpful staff, unsafe location, filthy room, broken AC, dirty bathroom, and non-working streaming services.
Despite staying at the hotel, I was charged a cancellation fee. I raised this at check-in and followed up daily. Each time I was told it was “being worked on.”
At checkout, the Front Office Manager, Dia Peña, personally told me I would be refunded. No refund was processed. My emails and follow-ups were ignored. When I called the hotel, staff said they couldn’t help, refused to confirm my message was passed on, and eventually hung up on me.
A staff member named Don was the only person who offered his assistance where he could.
Completely unacceptable for a Crowne Plaza / IHG property.
Do not stay here. Stay anywhere else in Dallas.
They need more staff. Only one front desk agent today checking in 30 people in front of me. Took us about 35 minutes to get checked in. The asian man was very apologetic about the wait time and he was very patient. He was answering phones, bringing people towels and checking people while giving recommendations with a very positive attitude. He was handling air-conditioning complaints while providing excellent service. I'm leaving a review to give awareness to management that they should have more people in the evening shift to accommodate guest request and etc. Docked one star due to the room we booked wasn't available. I appreciate the front desk staff kept a level head while catering to complaints and request.
Flew in from New Zeland to celebrate the holidays in Dallas mate. Enjoyed my time here and the local area. Jordan and Dan were both very personable and assisted me through out my entire stay. A lot of the amenities were closed during the holidays but I was able to walk around the general area to eat, drink and just enjoy the city. I had no issues during my stay and those two folks were very nice to me. So my experience here was very nice and highly recommend it. Specially at the price I pay it was an average of 70-90 a night
They have bed bugs
Good location
Walls very thin, can hear peolpe next door very easy.
Location was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Floor 12 the corridors smelt like weed. I do not smoke at all. It does not make the hotel look good if the corridors smell like that. There was paint peeling off the bathroom door. My son and his partner were placed in near me - but the aircon was so noisy (broken!) that they were moved to level 17. This decreased my feeling of safety as an older woman travelling alone (now that they were moved). The couple in the next room had a very loud and aggressive argument where violence was threatened ( I could hear it through the wall). I am from overseas. I did not know who to call. I was scared. The argument stopped, thankfully after short while and I head doors slamming.
The location was nice for our event. Parking was convenient to the hotel. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The room wasn't very clean. The floors were dirty throughout the whole hotel. The elevator was having a hard time keeping up so wait times were very long. The lighting in the room was bad.
Location
Very old building charged for parking definitely needs a remodeling one light in our room worked that’s it
the room was clean, the hotel itself is nice, and the location is great.
Unfortunately, this hotel showed a consistent lack of care for guests and their experience.
The night we stayed, I needed an extra blanket for my son. When I called the front desk, I was told the employee was the only one working and that I would need to come downstairs to get it.
The next morning around 7:00 AM, we ran out of toilet paper. I went to the front desk and was told they didn’t have any on hand, but asked for my room number and said they’d send some up. Two hours later, nothing. I called again, was asked for my room number again, and was told they’d send it up. An hour after that, still nothing. I eventually had to track down a cleaning staff member myself to get toilet paper.
We also went down for breakfast, which is advertised as “free,” only to find out it’s only free for two people and costs $18 per additional guest, something that is never clearly disclosed. We booked a room for four guests, so this was extremely misleading. We skipped breakfast and went back to our room.
Ironically, about an hour later, after all of that, toilet paper finally showed up.
Basic necessities like blankets, toilet paper, and clear communication shouldn’t be this difficult. This hotel clearly does not prioritize guest service or the overall experience. I would not stay here again.
quite old facility, good location in downtown
