Fantasic property with amazing ambiance. We definitely felt a world away. Our room was spacious and well furnished, the bathroom felt like a spa experience with Frette robes and high-end bath products.
Everything about this property is absolutely perfect. Nathalie -front desk welcomed me and she was right- It ‘s a home away from home.
Perfect resort for couples to enjoy the scenic beauty, families to enjoy the water slides and business travelers to enjoy magnificent conference, fitness and golf.
What a wonderful experience for my son's birthday celebration at this top notch, breathtaking Pacific view with pool, lagoon and preservation, golf court and fine dining, along with a lot of fun activities.
The hotelier is caring and tailoring to guest' unique needs.
The room was decorated with meticulous details for birthday theme decor and welcome drink plus tasty cake.
Thank you, guys at the Park Hyatt, will be back again for the getaway.
Only 2 such along the Pacific Coast by far (Los Cabo and this one).
It's hard to believe the Legoland, I-5 and Carlsbad old town, shopping outlets, even the flower filed are all minutes away from this immersive and tranquil all-inclusive resort. Luxury standard with comfort environment fits all ages and family friendly.
Beautiful location and the public areas and grouds are well maintained
Easy drive from San Diego airport and the town of Carlsbad has great restaurants and stunning vistas and walks.
The first room was on a low floor and had a view of sheds; stained furniture; and no light. We called and asked for a different room and were offered a room on the fifth floor. We have Globalist w/ Hyat so not sure why we were not offered the 5th floor room in the first place. The view was better but the rooms are all pretty dated and tired with rickety furniture and old carpets and bathroom fixtures---not really worth is for the prices they charge. We have recently stayed at Park Hyatts in NYC and Tokyo and this is one is definitely the most underwhelming.
A delicious buffet breakfast is served in their gorgeous restaurant with ocean view but can be very busy and noisy later in the morning.
The hotel seems very kid and pet friendly, most guests had one or both!
Adult pool was nice and quiet in a pretty setting. And we enjoyed the free yoga and other classes offered through Mirval.
Call way ahead for valet parking, especially at busy times of the day.
Overall, a B+.
Great staff and amenities. Golf course and spa amazing. Area beautiful w lots of good restaurants- in hotel dining excellent as well.
Wonderful hotel with an amazing spa.

Room for improvement and definitely need to be addressed:
1. Mobile key- pls enable especially when room is ready, and bypass of front desk to go straight to the room. This is an advertised benefit of this property and one reason we chose it. After a
Long drive, the last we want to do is line up at the front desk.
2. One staff issue- the Concierge taok issue regarding our text request for an additional refillable water bottle. Even after explaining that we only received one on check in.
3. En-suite bathroom not properly working (shower knob broken and unable to use shower head/ and shower arm) rooms should be fully functional especially with a newly renovated property. Thankfully, there was another usable bathroom in the main area. We didn’t able a big deal since only there for one night.
4. Big brown spider found on my shirt! I freaked out about this one since it was quite big and alive crawling on my shirt while I was blow drying my hair. So this means the spider was already inside the room :( since that shirt was on the bathroom sink counter. Thankfully I was NOT bit or anyone in my family. But this shouldn’t happen as people can be allergic to spider bites and it could have been poisonous! Pls address this and ensure all rooms are safe and bug free. Once horn, we had to wash/inspect all our items to be sure we did NOT bring home any spiders/bugs.
5. Noticed on arrival the 2 patio pathways leading to the suite was overgrown, making it hard to walk in/out of the room. In retrospect, this should’ve been addressed prior to arrival. We noted, most of the other suites in the same vicinity were well manicured. Thankfully, a gardener came the next am and trimmed the plants. Again, we didn’t escalate the issue since only there overnight and the gardener stopped by the next morning.
Our stay was wonderful and relaxing for the most part. We truly enjoyed the upgraded room, welcome amenity to celebrate our family and the caring staff!
Not a good experience with welcoming at the check in and front desk. Not a busy when I checked in and stopped by later for help. However, without verbal explanation, two pieces of papers were provided (when asking for benefit of globalist and when asking for property amenity). Breakfast food was good but the server did not stop by the table asking anything. I ended up asking other server to get more drink and final check. Nice 5 star hotel which needs lots of improvement with customer service.
First time I stayed in such a luxury hotel where if took advantage of all it had to offer or had family along that did it would be well worth it. Service was exceptional and all the little things in the room made it pleasant: great lighting, a Bluetooth speaker to enhance your computer, great water pressure, nighlights under the bed and bathroom made it safe. Very spacious. Alas, I went here for a conference which was great, but I should have brought my golf clubs and stayed an extra day:) I did walk the hiking trail which was easy and serene. There must be a peak bird watching season.
Nice hotel/resort in Carlsbad. Even when staying for business, it feels like a vacation. Very attentive professional staff, nice accommodations in a quite setting.
I had a delightful stay here. I was in the area for a business meeting and needed to use up a category 7 certificate. I had an excellent experience as Globalist. Upgraded to the top floor with a full view of the golf course and ocean inlet. Bed was super comfortable. Their bruch is one of the best I've had. Made to order items as well as an extensive variety of other breakfast treats. All fresh and delicious. No resort fee, no parking fee and free breakfast all as promised under Globalist status. I had communicated with Esther prior to my arrival and she was great at getting me an early check in and a great upgrade to room 502.
Nice resort off the beaten track. Pools for families with slides and adult only. 3 restaurants on campus and 1 a bit off but walkable. I wasn't able to find the lagoon trail. I am not sure how much activities there are aside from paying for classes at the spa. The room was nice overlooking the pool with a balcony. Sydney was great at the pool restaurant. Nice sunset by the restaurant. Paulina was an excellent server, friendly. Chris the manager was checking on everyone to be sure everything was ok. Amir checked me in and explained where somethings were. It was a nice local getaway.
The hotel is beautiful. Kids loved the waterslides, and we enjoyed the adult-only area. Pool side service was great, and Saturday morning breakfast buffet was great. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, but be prepared to be charged exorbitant fees throughout the entire hotel. Parking is close to New York rates, even though you’re not in the city, food prices are off the charts and not as good as it should be. Overall, the hotel and the staff are amazing. It’s just the feeling of being ripped off that brings down the stay.
The rooms are very confortable
Excellent view from day to night in both our room and common area. You can enjoy the view at the patio as well. Live music is wonderful add-on. The day pass for spa is also great especially for us being Globalist members, the price was 35 USD(normally 65). The breakfast buffet provides tasty food including omelet station on site. The location is good for it's not too far from San Diego but also close to popular places like Lego land, Sea World, and state park and beaches. The room is perfectly sized with great amenities and also very quiet.
Beautiful location. Good, service, ambience was superb! Very relaxing and the pool temp was warm, even in mid January.
Top notch service, beautiful grounds, great pools (both family and adults only), housekeeping was noticeably better than most places, beautiful golf course. Lacking in the game room activities and the top golf suite leaves something to be desired.
We had a very underwhelming experience at this resort, although the grounds are lovely and the rooms clean. We happened to be staying here over New Years and the hotel was a total zoo. There was nowhere to sit, the only option for dining was a a prix fixe which doesn't work with toddlers, or a 3 hour wait to even sit in the lobby bar. It seemed very unorganized and it would have been nice to know when booking the stay that we would be unable to dine or leave our rooms for one of the nights because it was so crowded. The pool was also too wild for our liking and there were significantly more people in the hot tub than should have been allowed. Why not heat the main pool more if clearly it's too cold and everyone is congregating in the hot tub? The valet took 15+minutes to get our car on numerous occasions. They truly just seemed like they were way over booked at the resort and understaffed. The best experience was breakfast in the morning where the staff were extremely kind! We also didn't know it was buffet only until arriving where we were told they didn't offer the menu when the hotel was at capacity. Good proximity to legoland, the grounds are nice, but nobody explains anything such as the volleyball area down the hill etc. If you want help you have to just figure things out on your own. Overall, it's fine. We surely didn't leave thinking " wow that was incredible I can't wait to return".
