Net hotel, uitstekende bedden en kamer maar teleurstellend zwembad en dakterras
Pros:

We hebben genoten van de heerlijke bedden, we hebben echt heel goed geslapen. De kamer was ruim, modern, netjes en schoon. De schoonmaaksters waren voortreffelijk. Ontbijtbuffet was zeer uitgebreid, veel opties en de koffie was goed.

Cons:

Het zwembad op het dak van het hotel bleek overdekt te zijn. Er zat een dak over het ‘buitenzwembad’ en ‘dakterras’. Omdat het tijdens ons bezoek om en nabij 22 graden was, was het bij het zwembad niet te harden zo warm, de ruimte was een sauna geworden. Ook was de bar bij het zwembad en op het dakterras gesloten tijdens ons verblijf. Een teleurstelling aangezien wij dit hotel
onder andere om het buitenzwembad en dakterras hebben geboekt. Ondanks het spectaculaire uitzicht vanaf het dak was het dus ook niet mogelijk om
‘s avonds wat te drinken op het dak. Het personeel reageerde laconiek op onze klacht over het dak: het was wat hun betreft volledig ter discretie van het hotel.

Excellent service
Pros:

Brilliant service from front desk through to room service. Only downside is some of the rooms and parts of the hotel are a little dated but you soon forget this due to the service from all of the staff- so professional but also friendly.

Good location near Evangilismos metro which is only a couple of stops from the main squares (Plaka and Syntagma). A bit quieter than staying in the centre.

Also easy to walk to the base of Lycabettus Hill to see sunsets over the city. We took the fenicular railway to the top and enjoyed a drink in the bar watching the sunset before meandering down the hill taking in the views as we walked. Highly recommend this one evening.

Roof top pool and spa are great and perfect to unwind after a day sightseeing.

Special mention to the Despoina (breakfast captain) who greeted us so warmly every morning . Our son has a severe walnut allergy (not ideal with Greek food) - Despoina provided personal service to our son - putting a separate order for his breakfast to the chef each morning to avoid traces from the breakfast buffet. She made sure all the staff were aware even on the day she was off duty. She went above our expectations and did it all with so much warmth and kindness. Sorry we missed you on our last day - we hope the general manager passed on our sincere thanks.

Great location and hotel for those who want to see all the sights without being right in them!
