I had a lovely massage with Marie who took such good care of me. So gentle and attentive. I wish I had time for more treatments from her.
I had a Massage with Fredi who was incredibly talented therapist and very knowledgeable with body . I recommend this spa to everyone
Excellent massage provided by Mahi
Very well run hotel friendly staff very helpful and accommodating. We will come back in the future. Thx for running this hotel properly most places we have been do not treat their guests nearly as good as they do in Greece at this hotel.
The hotel was beautiful, modern, great open feeling, lots of places to sit and relax outside of the room. It has a rooftop pool, bar and restaurant with stunning views from the rooftop.
The staff were courteous and welcoming. The location was near most attractions and there were many places to dine nearby.
There was a large selection/variety for breakfast which is good but for some reason the hot foods were always lukewarm rather than hot regardless of the time we went.
We booked a five star plus cruise on Regent and we were accommodated at this wanna be 4 star big Hotel. Like us many other passengers / guests complained about the ugly small rooms with a wired smell and sight onto the industrial back yard. The front desk was very unfriendly to cooperate.
Not a 5-Star Experience – Very Disappointing Service
We chose this hotel expecting a genuine 5-star experience, but unfortunately it failed to meet even some basic standards of hospitality.
We arrived at 6:00 a.m. after an early flight from Barcelona. We fully understood that check-in was not until 3:00 p.m. and had no issue with waiting. However, because our return flight departs at 5:00 a.m. on our last day, meaning we will miss breakfast completely, we politely asked whether it would be possible to have that breakfast on the day of arrival instead.
The receptionist barely listened to our request and dismissed it in a rude and unfriendly manner, simply stating that the only option was a takeaway picnic on the departure day. The problem was not the refusal itself, but the complete lack of empathy and customer care.
After travelling all night and sleeping less than three hours, we were not offered any courtesy whatsoever. No place to freshen up, no changing facilities, no complimentary water, coffee, or refreshments while waiting for our room. For a hotel that promotes itself as a luxury 5-star property, this was extremely disappointing.
Another surprising detail was the absence of any welcoming lounge area offering complimentary drinks or basic amenities for arriving guests. Many 4-star hotels provide these small touches, and they are exactly the kind of service one expects from a luxury hotel.
The swimming pool itself is pleasant, but a large section was closed because of a private embassy event, significantly reducing the space available to paying hotel guests.
Our room view was also disappointing because the windows were extremely dirty, making it difficult to enjoy the city views. This may seem like a small detail, but it reflects a lack of attention to maintenance and guest experience.
Overall, this hotel may hold a 5-star rating, but it certainly does not provide a 5-star experience. Based on the service we received, I would not return under any circumstances and cannot recommend it to travellers seeking genuine luxury hospitality.
The spa is very relaxing and my massage with Fredi was absolutely amazing. I’d come back again!
The staff were friendly - the restaurant staff and the doorbell guy - who was always so lovely and kind to us when we had our prams with the boys to be taken up the stairs. We never had to ask him for help (Astonis was his name I think - apologies jet lag as I cannot remember his name). The property was quite dated in some rooms and we had to change few times as they had mould in the bathroom and one room smelt of smoke and we were told it will go away, considering it’s still a high priced hotel this is not acceptable! The cleaners were so lovely and so neat! The lady stefania and the young girl who had exams in for two weeks she was lovely! Very lovely!
As stated above! - the mould and no sloped surface to take our prams in to the and out of the hotel. For a luxurious hotel as stated this is just not acceptable and we were told that there is a wheelchair access but we can’t use it so we ended up using the stairs but finding it hard especially as had toddlers and had to wait for someone to help us! The pool being super cold!
Το δωμάτιο και η θέα ήταν εξαιρετικά
The room was Clean and with more space, the staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was good with many variety
The location is not near the city center or the sea; you have to use transportation to get there.
My wife and myself were amongst 160 passengers on a Tui flight from London Gatwick to Skiathos that, literally minutes before landing, ran into a serious Thundery and was diverted to nearby (30 mins flying time away) Athens.
Due to an added technical issue, we all had to stay overnight in Athens and were most fortunate to be accommodated at the Divani Caravel Hotel - at one stage this must have been one of the city’s best hotel and - whilst still very comfortable - is beginning to show its age.
Our room (#629) was most welcoming with plenty of hot water but no standalone shower. Also some of the toiletries need refilling which was poor for a property of this calibre.
The staff were all most helpful - particularly Giorgos who helped remove a redundant lock from one our suitcases.
The Group arrived well after midnight so all the restaurants were closed but we all enjoyed an excellent Buffet Breakfast in the morning before returning to the Airport for the onward flight to Skiathos.
Marie was an amazing massage therapist. Best decision I’ve made in a while. Highly recommend taking time to treat yourself to a massage with her
We were offered a free room upgrade with a free breakfast. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay in Athens. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Bar on top is has one of the best views on the city.
