A good choice for value and location
Pros:

the price it great. The location is perfect for those flying in Christchurch late and ready to move one next morning. Several Chinese restaurants close by seemed to be for us. The host is very kind and helpful.

Cons:

Parking inside the building is great, but you have to talk to manager to learn how to get into it .

Not the standard we expected, needs were met, but it felt budget and seedy.

It was very unwelcoming, the entrance was seedy, sharing the entrance to a pup and gaming room. , the entrance to the car park was filthy with rubbish and grime all the way down the alley. It smelled awful. They Key card packet was clearly second hand, could they not afford a fresh envelope?

Really great value for money. Rooms were clean and comfy, staff were great!
Pros:

Smooth and easy late arrival instructions. The room was perfect for work, with a great desk, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a private enclosed balcony for fresh air. The hotel was quiet and felt very corporate-friendly, and the bar next door was relaxed and low-key.

The room was comfortable, the TV had Chromecast/Amazon Fire Stick for easy streaming, and the secure, camera-monitored guest-only parking was a big plus. Really enjoyed my stay. I would have expected to stay to pay more for such a room!
