NOTHING
Got scammed. This property is listed as a hotel and taking people money b it it’s Joe an apartment complex
was a scam booking rooms when they are not a hotel scam
nothing
The property does not exist anymore. I booked the room after a long drive and when I got there the hotel no longer exists. The hotel is now an apartment complex the apartment manager said that I was not the only person to come to the apartments thinking the oyo hotel was still there. The oyo hotel did not refund me my money because they said I was a no show how was I a no show to a hotel that is no longer there?
There wasn’t a hotel. The oyo hotel is stealing peoples money because the hotel no longer exists.
The “OYO Hotel” doesn’t exist. There is another building in its place. It is in a deserted looking area. I only saw abandoned grocery carts, industrial trash containers, tarps and seemingly NO guests. I called the credit card company I booked with points through and explained the location and situation and they tried to call the property for A WEEK to get my refund. Apparently they called multiple times a day and they couldn’t get anyone to answer the phones. This is a ghost property. Read other reviews. I was not the only one scammed by this hotel. Guests make reservations, have no where to stay and the hotel takes 100% of their money because of their air tight no refund policy. Don’t let this happen to you!
This hotel is a run down, dirty, disgusting place of business. See attached pictures. The entire hotel smells of mold. Our hall smelled of cigarettes and marijuana smoke. My friend found crack pipes in her room and a glob of hair on the side of the tub. Blood stained pillows and a dirty sock. My husband and didn’t notice the moldy shower curtain until the next day. No smoke alarm, no toilet paper. I’m calling the health department. Manager “Alex” said they don’t give refunds. Ok, no problem. How’s getting you shut down? Even if you would have given a refund I would still call them because this is beyond subpar!!! DO NOT STAY HERE.
Nightmare on Maple Ave.
Beware this hotel under the current ownership!! I stayed here about a month ago and found the rooms filthy. Blood stained sheets, mice, and furniture in disrepair. I left a negative review on Google Maps. Despite the horrific state of the room, the owner was relatively courteous at check-in, so I thought I would give it another go to see if he had made improvements since taking ownership. I booked a room through the OYO website, and showed up around 5 to check in. There was one person in line in front of me who seemed to be trying to get another key for his room. Apparently, the room was in his girlfriend’s name and, though the customer in line had paid in cash with his girlfriend the day before, the owner was refusing to give him a key claiming he didn’t have to because the room wasn’t in the customer’s name. Now, I can understand that I didn’t have the whole story as an observer, but the owner’s reaction to the situation was shocking. He abruptly told the customer to leave, and said he was calling the police. Though the customer was frustrated during their exchange, he was not at all combative, aggressive or even especially rude. I was shocked. While this customer stepped aside to call his girlfriend, I stepped up to the counter.
I let the owner know that I had booked and paid $51 for a room for the night on the OYO website. He took my ID and informed me that there would be a $150 deposit that would be held for 7-14 business days after check-out, pointing to a sign on the counter. I told him that the terms on the OYO booking email said to expect at some locations a deposit as high as $100. I told him that $150 seemed excessive and asked if the franchiser, OYO, was aware that he was charging such a high amount. The owner immediately told me to get out. I said I wasn’t leaving until I got OYO on the phone, and he immediately called the police. Two customers, ten minutes, two calls to the police. Totally psycho. I left and got OYO on the phone. They’re investigating, and hopefully this guy will be forced to change his deposit policy. I also found out that he had put me on a “black-list” after my review of my previous stay. That’s why he reacted so quickly with such hostility. Beware! Go to the Motel 6 down the street.

I'm very impressed by the quality of customer service and the clean, spacious room. I have read other reviews and people did not give a genuine review. It is actually a nice get away spot in a private hideaway area. I enjoyed my time there. It is obvious that management and staff are making improvements. For such a cheap price it was time well spent. I will be visiting again
So I was traveling to Washington DC from Atlanta Georgia & my tire popped on the freeway at around 5 am. I pulled over and began looking for rooms near me & this was the closest hotel, which was 37 minutes away from me. I called the hotel in advance to see if they had any rooms available that they had a couple that were ready for me to check into. I hung up and was grateful , & immediately booked a room while I waited for the tow truck. My tow took over an hour to come, but once it did I immediately made my way over to the hotel. Finally At the desk, I talk to Debbie, who I spoke to over the phone. I said hey I’m here to check in , I had called you a minute ago. Debbie says , oh that was a long time ago. Mind you , it is almost 7 am when I arrived at the hotel . Debbie continues telling me that she talked to me “so long ago” as if it was days or weeks ago, not an hour and a half ago... and that she has no rooms available now. She insists that she gave my room to somebody else and now I need to check in at 3 pm. A middle eastern man was working the desk with her and he continued enforcing what she said, come back at 3 pm. I am hot, tired, and irritated because im 8 months pregnant , in the middle of nowhere, and not even supposed to be in North Carolina. My baby shower is tomorrow , so what’s the point of me sleeping in my car from 7 am to 3 pm??? I literally just needed a place to rest my head for a few hours until the tire shops open & I could replace my spare. Anywho , after constant arguing I was finally told by the middle eastern man that they did indeed have a room for us but we would have to be out by checkout time , 11. I was so tired I didn’t care anymore. He gave us a key and we went to the room. First thing I seen was a bug in the bath tub. Then, the tv was broken & wouldn’t play any channels, only static. The mirror right in the hallway had fingerprints and smudges all over it... and the shower handle in the bathtub was broken off. I was so irritated with everything that I just laid on top of all the covers and went to sleep. I didn’t even trust the sheets enough to get under the covers. Will NEVER stay at a red roof inn again in my life... it was very inconsiderate considering I am a huge pregnant lady and I’m so kind, but the kindness was not reciprocated. Disappointing place to call a hotel.
This is by far the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in! I was forced to stop during a long road trip because I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. I needed a hotel that accepted dogs and this one was the closest. Had I not already paid and been unable to get a refund, I would have gone anywhere else after stepping foot in this hotel.
This hotel needs condemned. I have never been somewhere that was so run down in my entire life. It was absolutely disgusting. The first room that I was given was filthy and smelled like cigarette smoke (it was a non-smoking room). There was blood splatter all over the chair in the room. It looked like someone had been beaten in it. I didn’t even hazard setting my bag down. I went to the front desk and got a new room. The second room was marginally better. By better I mean there was no obvious blood splatter in the room. The sheets on the bed were the cleanest times in the room. I didn’t even feel comfortable taking off my shoes.
I would never recommend this hotel and looking back, I should have just slept in my car and chalked up paid reservation as a lose. Go anywhere else!
I was awaken at 3:41 am on April 28, 2019 with an intensed itch. I turned on the lights and threw the sheet back and there was a bug on the sheet. I immediately welt up on my hand, still not knowing what type of bug it was, I googled it...and it was a BED BUG! I robed myself and went to the front desk and Debbie(front desk staff) was very unconcerned, stated that she did not know anything about bedbugs and she would just move me to another room. Considering that a front desk staff had to clean my bathtub and shower (hairs were in the tub and old soap scum was on the shower wall) before taking a shower that Saturday night prior( no housekeeper on duty) and others having moved from room to room because of roaches and dirty rooms(hairs on sheets). I did not accept a move to another filthy room, but I sat in a "pleather" chair until daybreak. At 7:00 am when manager and owner " Andy" came on duty, I attempted to report the BEDBUG issue to him and he became very defensive, irate and stated all "you people" want to do is complain and hollered at me to leave. I later found out that several other guests had had bad experiences with both BEDBUGS and ROACHES and had checked out late that Saturday night and went to other hotels.
The pictures on the web site are false. The hotel is filthy, molded, run down, smelly and looks nothing like whats on the website! RUN, THE BUGS WILL GET YOU!!!!
No towels in room, toilet paper dispenser and hair dryer broken, sparsely furnished and decorated room, hard beds, common areas are dirty and in disrepair and smell awful, bad neighborhood/lots of shady characters loitering around, no elevator
Have Stayed Here Before . Last Visit Was Better .... Rooms Then Still Had Carpet .... Now Cold Gritty Floors . Place Is Being Allowed To Run Down Quickly ( Big Time ) . Hallways and Doorways Dirty , Yuck . Only Thing Clean Was Lobby Area . Obvious That Sketchy People Do Stay Here . Best To Pay More and Stay Elsewhere . I Will Not Be Returning On My Next Travels Through This Area. You Should Do The Same .
Main lobby was going through renovation. During the day, it seemed like a great place because the family-friendly environment. It changed at night, as sketchy people hangout by the side entrance.
I did just use this place, just to sleep. No breakfast, which is weird.
We checked into this hotel becuase it was inexpensive and had a decent rating here on tripadvisor. The person at the front desk was very friendly and accomodating however, we were the only people waiting to be checked in and it literally took 45 minutes because the hotel has archaic systems. My colleague requested a "suite" and was asked to give a $50 deposit in case the smoked or trashed the room. My room was a room with 2 double beds. When I (and my colleague in his suite) got to the room, (non-smoking room) I opened the door and it literally smelled like a cigarette/ashtry room. The smell was embedded in everything. It caused me to get a migraine. But that's not all. The rooms were literally filthy. The sheets were dirty with stains or just not washed, there were used cups beside the bed and I don't think it had been vacuumed in years. The adjective filthy isn't even sufficient. We exited the hotel immediately. If it were $10 a room I could see staying, but for even the lost cost, not worth it. Don't book this hotel.
We came with high hopes for the hotel. First thing we smell when we come in is weed, which wasn’t that big of a deal. The room wasn’t great. The light didn’t work, and the drawers in the chest were gross. One of the lamps was out by the bed and the beds felt terrible, like I was laying on a cot. There were also no towels, and went I went down to ask for a few they said “I wasn’t given any towels”, and we had to go without them.
We cane in for 1 night and first thing we noticed was that they “no longer offered continental breakfast”. The room was discussing! Toilet paper sitting on the handicap bar, light not working, tv cable cut, and other things broken. I went to put my shoes on and realized how filthy the floor was. NOT worth the savings!
Recently stayed a Friday night. First impression the parking lot has lots of pot holes. The check in area is clean looks well maintained. Room was okay we had a non-smoking room. Hall way and exterior is under construction. If you have a dog with you there is plenty of space to walk your dog. TV worked well as did the room refrigerator.
We travel at least once a month, this hotel still needs a LOT of work. Night hotel staff friendly day staff kind of "stiff".
The room was absolutely filthy. The tub faucet leaked. There were stains on the walls furniture and floor. I had my two dogs with me and was desperate for somewhere dog friendly to stay. I contemplated sleeping in the car.
It's been nearly a year since my visit and I still talk about how disgusting it was.
I booked this room online the website automatically choose a smoking room. I could not change it online.
When I arrived at the "Inn" while checking in I requested to change to a non smoking room. The desk clerk could barely operate the computer system and was unable to accept credit cards from people checking in and actually sending them to an ATM to get cash so he most certainly was unable to change my room and suggested we try later. The room reeked of smoke I sprayed a can of Lysol on every surface of the room, no luck.
