Easy to retrieve keys and access the hotel. Everything was set up nicely. They also gave a fan for the room!
In the room there is only one double socket which is near the TV. Meaning placement of fan and chargers simultaneously was difficult.
Car parking . Large room .
Noisy all night . Basin taps not working properly.
Location
Breakfast could of been alot better
Checking in was friendly. Parking was good, although the parking area, though covered, and within the hotel curtilage, was rather dismal and ridden with Pigeon droppings. The bed and furniture in the room were clean and in good condition, The lift (elevator) worked fine. There was a nice view over the river out of the window. I wrote to the hotel with my complaints shown below. They replied promptly, took my complaints seriously and paid me a full refund.
Upon arrival, I was told there was only a "Continental" breakfast, without any real explanation of what that would entail. In the event it proved very basic, and the food comprised a motley array of plain bread, some croissants, yoghourt and cereal.
In the shower area of the bathroom, a clumsy effort had been made to repair the corner of the floor covering with another unmatching piece of lino, which did not properly fit, and also, between that piece and the waste, there were existing cracks in the floor, and the largest crack was actually raised above the underneath. In part there was a gap between the floor covering and the tiled wall. The whole looked either dirty or, possibly moldy. I decided not to have a shower in these circumstances. The toilet seat, though usable, was loose in its fixings.
In the room, there was no chair to sit at the desk, which should have been available. The flexible bedside light did not work. Most of the television channels did not work, including the most important ones, all BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. The best reception was of a shopping channel!! So effectively I could not use the TV.
Walking along the internal corridors was an unnerving experience. I appreciate that, to conserve energy, movement sensors were used to turn on the lighting, but I had to make several steps before they came on, which was particularly unpleasant after leaving my room.
Nice view from room
Bit dated in corridors plus’s we was on the 4 th floor was told The 4 th floor button didn’t work in the lift so we was told to get out on the 3rd floor. And your the stairs to walk up to our room
Location, and reception staff was good, beds looked clean
Dust on skirting boards in room, pipework in toilet, and ontop of the wardedrobe. The cups and glasses in the room wasnt clean. The breakfast room had dirty windows, dust on the skirting boards. The so called continental breakfast was extremely poor. cereals, toast, boiled eggs, crossiants, lumps off cheese, muffins, juices and coffee was all that was on offer. No fruit or yogurts. The guy at breakfeast was listen to something on his phone with earbuds in, very little engagement
The location was ok it was not far from the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It shoes pictures on trip advisor of a cooked breakfast and according to staff just recently this changed. This was very disappointing and we had to eat out each morning causing inconvenience and expense. The bath ran with very little hot water coming out so you has to wait 20 minutes to take a bath and the shower didn't work. There's no air conditioning at all in the building. The rooms are very basic so don't expect much and the springs stick out of the mattress. Please find a different hotel it's not worth the money at all. I messaged the hotel and got no reply at all. I think that I am being generous giving it a 4 out if 10.
Reasonable location and breakfast
Run down
Reception guy was great, room was big, spacious & clean apart from the bath that I did not use & had everything I needed for a 1 night stay.
Bath had left over hair/soap from last use.
Breakfast was terrible. 1 tray of croissants & biscuits does not class as continental. I was there at 7am as it just opened. The orange juice tasted awful. Definitely need too upgrade the quality of this breakfast or just take it away as the price for the room was cheap enough without including breakfast!
Very good location and a nice big room.
Nothing!
Conveniently located near the places we wanted to go whilst in Rochester. Plus the room itself was fair large too.
The included breakfast was beyond a joke, only offer toast, muffins from a bag, croissants still ice cold (some were still frozen solid) and a few boiled eggs. Room was in quite a state of disrepair and had a hospital ward feel to it. Additionally the lift was broken when we tried to check in and was never told about it either. Staff attitude was very poor too.
Room wasn't to bad
Breakfast was rubbish. Only basic cereals etc, staff aren't very helpful. Very dated and area very rough
