Fullerton Marriott at California State University

We recently stayed at the Fullerton University Marriott and experienced an unexpected plumbing issue that required the hotel to shut off the water for an extended period. While this was certainly inconvenient, what truly stood out was how the staff handled the situation.

I want to give a special thank you to Anthony, who was still in training, along with Amanda and Rosa. They were incredibly kind, patient, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire situation. Even though the issue was completely outside of their control, they remained calm, kept guests informed, and did everything they could to make everyone as comfortable as possible. Their positive attitudes and genuine care did not go unnoticed.

I also want to recognize Jennifer, the manager, for making the decision to comp everyone’s room for one night because of the inconvenience. That level of customer service and accountability speaks volumes about how this hotel values its guests.

Problems can happen anywhere, but what matters most is how they’re handled. Thanks to Jennifer, Anthony, Amanda, and Rosa, a frustrating situation was turned into an example of outstanding hospitality. They all deserve recognition for going above and beyond. Thank you for making the best of a difficult situation. We truly appreciate your hard work and exceptional customer service!

Rooms were outdated with a musty smell and very small, ac unit was very loud and right next to the bed.

The breakfast was great! It had enough options for food.
The staff from the hotel during breakfast was great and super helpful! Specially Gabriel, he was very attentive.

Property was clean and easy to get to

Great experience here at the Fullerton Marriott. This hotel is one the best golden gems of the the Fullerton area. This grand hotel was opened on October 15, 1989 and is a six story 224 room palace. Last renovated in 2018 and has remained a staple in the local community. It sits directly on the southeast edge of the California State University, Fullerton campus, making it popular for university conferences, commencement weekends, athletic events, and visiting faculty.
It is about 7 miles (11 km) from Disneyland, which also makes it attractive to leisure travelers. The front desk has a great staff that is one of the easiest going and helpful group you have ever met. KEVIN, was able to help me extend my stay with ease. Even though when returned from work it was 2200 he was able to extend stay. He was able to keep my rate that I got through Corperate travel program. One key factor that made the biggest differece that the hotel was almost completely booked during a couple days of my stay. He was able to make it work and was able to get me a room the week from the thrid floor with an eastern highway 57 view to a sixth floor room with a pool view, This really made the work trip more enjoyable durning my stay and when you are working fourteen days this help me decompress after work before bed. Coming in at 2230 daily he was able to kindly greet me by name, Kevin is an absolute scholar and gentleman who made the stay that much better. Bonvoy has hit a home run with one. His energy was absolutley contagitous and made the hour dinner break worth the return for a quick shower before going right back into work for another fourteen hour morning. Kevin you are Awesome thank you for making my stay at Fullerton Marroitt an absolute joy and for reensuring me that Bonvoy is the choice for me on all my travels both work and leisure. If you meet Kevin you know you are in good hands and will have an excellent stay without questions.

Staff was friendly and room was clean

Martha A did a fantastic job cleaning our room. I needed fresh towels and left for the day and when I came back the entire room was beyond spotless, and I have two teenagers. Not only that, she had found my son's student transcript somewhere and place them carefully on the bed, which he needs tomorrow for his student orientation. Thank you Martha for making our stay that much better.

I would give it 5 stars but the night I was there they had NO HOT WATER! I had to take a cold shower. Booo.
Other than that it was a good hotel

Amanda at the front desk is absolutely outstanding. She anticipates guest’s needs and has a great sense of humor as well.

Friendly staff, pet friendly for a fee (very expensive for just one night..), great breakfast

The manager Jennifer is amazing! We needed help with our reservation and she went above and beyond to help us. Thank you Jennifer.

Easily to get in and out of. Welcoming.

Everything was clean and gorgeous! The room had a great view. The lighting was perfect. I love staying here.
