Fantastic service and quality. Location is great for those going to Disneyland. Price was the most affordable too. Highly recommend the Castle Inn.
Location was great, 10 mins walk from hotel to Disneyland gates. Rooms (Exec Mini Suite) was large and very comfortable for 4, no problem for 6. Rooms were clean, noise was minimal despite being right on S Harbor Blvd. Service from the front desk was excellent despite us arriving after 10pm. Good value for money being this near to Disneyland. No breakfast but there's a walgreens nearby to get food to microwave, plenty of food options both ways on the blvd.
This hotel is so very consistent, after multiply stays, they did it again. Great guest service, clean and ready room, stored and charged my mobility cart every day. I will be returning again soon!
Castle Inn has become our Disneyland go-to over the years. It's really nice to support a local, family-owned business with a friendly and courteous staff. You can't beat the location (only about a five-minute walk to the parks), and the rates are beyond reasonable. Parking is also free, which is unheard of.
Is it perfect? Nope. The rooms are a bit dated, though they are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable and the shower is hot. The pool is a little lackluster, and sits in the middle of the parking lot. But the pool area is always clean and includes a paddling pool for the little ones. I do also wish the on-site convenience store were still there, as the vending machines were out of order on our last stay. However, there are lots of options nearby in a pinch.
Overall, anything we could criticize isn't that important to us, as we spend most of our time in the parks. We want a safe, clean, affordable place to sleep and shower, and Castle Inn is a fantastic value. Who doesn't want to sleep in a castle?!?
The room was good and appeared clean. Had all the amenities needed for sleep and shower before heading off to Disneyland. The toilet paper and Kleenex were folded to look fancy, but it did not match the rest of the property which looks like it could use a makeover.
The AC could have used an auto option, it was either on (Low, Med, High) or off. The shower hot faucet had an issue where it would spin and you had to get the sweet spot to get the water to stop. Turning the handle kept turning and there never was an Off position, the water would keep coming on. The pool was closed for renovations and many of the onsite pop/soda machines were out of order.
I wanted badly to love this place, I read the reviews, I took a chance, and it was what it was.
If you've been reading through the reviews, wondering if the beds are really THAT bad??? they are.
is the staff really that uncaring and unprofessional? They are.
Here we go.
1. The staff all hide behind plexiglass and wear N95 masks that instantly transport you back to the COVID era. not fun. Not welcoming when you walk in to check in. And not improved by their " I just work here and could not care to help you in anyway attitude."
2. The beds are not just hard, like they bought the cheapest ones they could afford to make budget, but they were painful, you will wake up with a backache. It felt like a blanket stretched over plywood and you could feel ever spring you laid on, not helpful after a day of walking in the parks.
3. The bathrooms SMELL. when you turn the sink on for any reason the smell that comes from the drain makes the whole bathroom smell like sewer. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they seemed well aware of and unconcerned with the problem.
4.Online it indicates that you get one parking spot per room. The suit online is described as a TWO ROOM suit, ergo two parking spots, yes? Nope, it's based on space availability. when we requested our second spot for our second room party, we were told no because there was not enough room. they told us our second party's car would have to pay for parking at a parking structure around the Corner behind the building at $25 a day for a spot. they did offer a discount code but for how much I'm not sure. yet when we returned that night at 10PM, there were still over 20 empty spots available, also their ongoing pool construction takes up parking from the guests.
5. the pool was supposed to be open months ago; it looks like a deserted construction project meant to star in a B-rated horror movie.
6. the carpets are as dirty as the review's say. When you walk in you cans ee the black on the red carpet from years of foot traffic without being cleaned. i wore socks the whole time to stay clean. it could use a very deep carpet cleaning.
7. The only benefit to this hotel is its proximity to Disneyland
If you don't mind the rock-hard beds, sewer smelling bathrooms, Lack of parking spots (even though their empty), uncaring, unprofessional staff, and overall lack of hospitality, then this is the location for you. In all honesty to me this is on the same level as a super 8 or a motel 6 just with a little lip gloss. I think this location could greatly benefit from the owner taking some pride in the hotel and the location and remodeling it and fixing it up could be a game changer it feels very stuck in the past.
if you mind any of those things, go somewhere else to a property that cares for the guest experience and takes pride in themselves.
Overall, this hotel wasn’t too bad. It was clean and very close to Disneyland… but I just couldn’t leave anymore than 3 stars because oh my gosh, the bed was awful. My husband and I both have different taste in beds and we BOTH hated these beds. They hurt our backs and our hips.
It’s a 15 min walk from hotel to Disney gates which was nice, specially with our toddler. I would do this hotel again but they desperately need to change those mattresses.
This hotel is a good spot for a Disneyland trip! It’s close enough to walk to the main entrance (6 minutes, I timed it) and just what you need for your Disney getaway. It’s certainly not high end nor offers a ton of amenities but the front desk staff are friendly, has a fridge, microwave and small closet for clothes and clean and safe. What more do you need when you’re going to Disney!
We had a multi-day Disneyland trip and found Castle Inn & Suites still available. The location is ideal, just a block or so from the main park entrance - which helps when making rope drop entrances early in the morning. There are numerous quick eats and mini-markets adjacent to the hotel for stocking up on essentials. Special shout out to the housekeeping crew, as their every other day cleaning left our room not only spotlessly clean, but we enjoyed the small welcoming touches (folded towels, extra TP, extra coffee packets sine we used our up, .....) made a huge difference in how we felt upon a long day at the park(s). Well done and highly recommended!
We had a great stay! The pool was closed for refurbishment, but we were able to go next door and swim!
We had the family suite, enough room for 4 adults and one child! Very clean! Will stay again!.
Everything was nice, clean and comfortable

We stayed 6 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping happened each day. Its about a 15 minute walk to the parks.
Good costumers service very friendly and my room was always clean and ready after a long day at the parks. I do recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there again
