Grand Hyatt Taipei

I checked in on August 15 and was assisted by a tall, broad-built, middle-aged male staff member at the front desk. During check-in, he suddenly asked for my credit card without explaining what it was for. When I simply asked whether he was going to charge the remaining balance, he raised his voice and replied that it was “just a pre-authorization.” A polite and professional explanation would have taken only a few seconds, and there was absolutely no need to respond in such an unfriendly manner.

Check-in is the first impression a hotel gives its guests, and this experience immediately made me feel unwelcome. There are already numerous Google reviews mentioning the poor attitude of the staff, yet the hotel does not appear to be taking this feedback seriously or making any meaningful improvements. This level of service falls far below what should be expected from a hotel of this caliber and is truly unworthy of its star rating.

You will not regret staying at the grand Hyatt. Service is top notch and amenities are plentiful. We loved the breakfast buffet daily and every staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Sky walk bridge to Taipei 101 and central location. There is some long term construction noise but didn’t start until 8am. We will be returning on our next visit to Taiwan

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Grand Hyatt Taipei. Everything was exceptional, from the beautiful room and the pleasant fragrance throughout the hotel to, most importantly, the people.

The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming. I was especially impressed by how friendly and cheerful everyone was — they always greeted me with a smile whenever we crossed paths, which made my stay feel even more special.

If I have the chance to return to Taipei, Grand Hyatt Taipei will definitely be my first choice again. I truly hope to be back soon!

The hotel is conveniently located beside the world trade center where we can walk over for meetings. It is also within walking distance to the 101 and shinkong shopping. It was around 15 mins run to the Elephant mountain where we went up to see the beautiful night scenery of Taipei. It is also within walking distance to Tong Hua Night Market (15 to 20 mins walk) and Rao He night market (20-30mins walk) which are both much visited by Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang. The hotel serves good breakfast too.

Service was splendid. We were staying on the floor of the Grand Club Lounge which also offers breakfast every morning. Convenient!

The hotel is quite outdated, and many of the facilities show significant signs of long-term wear and should be replaced. For example, the coat hangers were old and worn out. In addition, there was an unpleasant odor in the room that negatively affected the stay. Overall, the hotel would greatly benefit from a comprehensive renovation and modernization.

Booked through Hyatt and Amex FHR and my family was treated well from the moment we arrived. I needed one housekeeping item I messaged through Hyatt app that was not relayed. I went back to the check in to ask again, and before I could return to my room it was resolved in under 5 minutes. This is the first Hyatt is almost 3 years that acknowledged my membership and provided an ungrade. I was planning not to renew my membership until this location convinced me to stay. Hyatts in the US are just not at this level.
Thank you to Daisy at the concierge for arranging a difficult to book restaurant and securing vip treatment, and a special surprise for us on return. Great job Grand c Hyatt Taipei, you have reassured us that we should continue patronizing the Hyatt brand.

Great property within walking distance of Taipei 101. Super convenient from the airport as well as the CitiAirbus stops right at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. Breakfast buffet is extensive with lots of options to please even the pickiest palates. The hotel upgraded our room and sent us a sweet amenity for our anniversary. Such a lovely gesture that made the trip extra memorable.

Grand Hyatt Taipei is my only choice when back to Taipei Taiwan. The excellent location casted off my worry of commute, shopping, grab foods and meet up with friends.

As a Hyatt Globalist who stays at Hyatt hotels around the world, I had a fantastic two-week stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the Grand Club Lounge was excellent, and the breakfast at Café was outstanding.

What impressed me most was the service during the typhoon. While most stores and restaurants outside were closed, the Club Lounge team did their best to accommodate guests and provide flexible support.

After half a month, the hotel truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
