Disappointing stay – not what we expected from a Grand Hotel
Pros:

Unfortunately, our stay was far from what we expected.
There was construction work directly outside our window early in the morning, with loud banging and welding flashes shining into the room. Needless to say, this made the view unpleasant and completely ruined our morning. Being woken up by construction noise is hardly the experience you expect when staying at a hotel of this standard.
We also decided to walk in and book a room on the spot, only to find that the price we were given was several hundred SEK higher than the rates available on Hotels.com, Booking.com, and Agoda.com. As walk-in guests, that certainly didn't make us feel particularly welcome.
On top of that, the reception staff had no idea which rooms had two separate beds. They had to ask the housekeeping staff, who apparently weren't sure either. For a hotel of this level, we found this rather surprising.
Overall, a disappointing experience. The combination of early-morning construction noise, poor communication among staff, and a significantly higher walk-in rate left us feeling that the hotel did not live up to its reputation or its standards.

Very comfy beds and excellent towels!
Amazing breakfast!

Activities for children: game night, movie sessions. It was a very good experience.

Cons:

I thought the staff could be more helpful.
I lost my bag in the hotel, with my passport and credit cards. After looking in every inch of my room and returning to all the places I had been, I went to reception to ask if someone had found it. The receptionist said no, without even checking. I decide to go back and ask where the police station was, so I could report my documents missing. She then decided to call the housekeeping and they had found the bag - I asked her why she did not do it before - it could have save me some moments of despair... she answered: because I didn't know you had looked for it already.

Dyrt och dålig service
Pros:

Fin miljö o god frukost

Cons:

Bortslarvad bokning, beställd o betalt för extratjänster som ej utfördes. Otroligt varmt på rummet utan möjlighet att svalka. Ohjälpsam personal i reception som hellre hjälpte andra än att lösa de problem som uppstått

badrum behöver definitivt rustas upp. luktade fukt och mögel. hela hotellet behöver rustas upp . allt för dyrt utifrån standard.

Beautiful older piece of history
Pros:

A beautiful, older building, ornate interiors, and... the smallest hotel room I've ever seen in my life! Overrated and overpriced for the quality of the room, but likely a piece of hospitality history.

Cons:

Vi bokade ett extra dyrt dubbelrum med badrum. Det blev rum 152 på första våningen som tilldelades. Något badrum fanns inte utan en toalett i huvudändan och en dusch i fotändan. Toaletten var så trång att satt man på toalettstolen hade man handfatet i ansiktet.
Från duschen som har en inte helt frostat dörr klev man rakt in i rummet på ett parkettgolv med begynnande fuktskada. Tvättkommod har
man flyttat in i rummet. Möblemanget i rummet lite slitet med vattenfläckar på skrivbordet. Orientaliska mattan på golvet i ett skick lämpad för tippen. För övrigt ingen AC så det var svårt att sova på grund av värme. Blomblad på bordet från blommor som inte fans.
Till på köpet när vi har spetsat oss på en sovmorgon började man härja med möbelflytt
våningen ovan redan klockan åtta på morgonen
på grund av pågående renoveringsprojekt. Inte helt optimal vistelse som vi har sett fram emot.
Det bästa med hotellet var frukosten.
