It is so convenient to everything in downtown Chicago. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful and the property is always clean.
I can’t think of one thing. It’s the only hotel I ever stay at when I’m in town.
Location
$160 for a nights stay but $88 for parking also very large room with two small full beds that where uncomfortable
New decorated suite rooms very nice!
Very clean, housekeeping staff helpful,
Great location for families
Lovely pool
Bed-sofa rock hard…like a floor! Hard to pull out too.
Booked two rooms to be close together , got three floors apart…disappointed!
Rooms was not available at check in time, no apology given.
Elevators time waits long at times, multiple elevators full, so we (and others)took the back stairs that were available, dirty and unkempt and not clearly labelled.
Comfortable stay, excellent and attentive staff
Great pool, large comfortable room
The cleanliness and size of the room were great. The location of the hotel is ideal for many of the tourist spots in the city. There is also a train station not far from the hotel that I was able to take to different parts of the city.
My room was right on the main street (Michigan Ave) so it was very noisy.
This is a wonderful hotel in Chicago. The location is perfect, the workout area/pool are amazing, and the staff is great. I will definitely return the next time I want to stay in the City!
Beautiful hotel, but the beds were not comfortable. In addition, my room lacked a desk. When I travel on business like this most recent trip, I need a desk!
For the most part a great stay. The bed is comfortable. The rooms are comfortable and have character. The staff are nice. The water pressure in the shower was great. You can barely hear the outdoor city sounds from your room.
Cons: the pillows have no volume. I believe they’re feather or alternative feather due to the season. The bedding felt a bit damp due to the humidity. Also,I had issues with the streaming apps on the smart TV is not working.
I am grateful for an overpriced room because otherwise we would be sleeping at the airport. I am annoyed, however, by the little things. We ordered room service. When ordering, we answered the question: How many people are dining? Two! Yet they had one glass of ice water on the tray. We asked for medium well. The burger was definitely not that. Just little things......I hope today is better. On a positive note, the bed is comfortable and the room is fine. The room darkening shade is nice as my husband is still sleeping. (Written at 6:28 am)
We had a junior suite which was in the corner of the building, overlooking Michigan Avenue. The room was clean and very quiet. People at the reception, as well as the door man, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Michigan Avenue is busy, and there is lots to do and see with a short walk in either direction.
The only downside is that this is a very busy hotel for meetings. If you were on the elevator at the wrong time (lunch and when a meeting broke) you noticed it. Otherwise, there were no real delays.
We certainly would stay here again.
I do not recommend this hotel.
The customer service I experienced was inadequate, and my concerns regarding the condition of the room were not appropriately addressed. I checked into the hotel on 7-18-26 and had a late checkout scheduled for 1700 hours on 7-19-26. Upon entering my room, it was apparent that the air conditioning was not operating properly. The room was warm and lacked adequate air circulation. I immediately returned to the check-in desk and spoke with Christian. I requested to be moved to another room but was informed that no other rooms were available. I advised him that I would be leaving for a walk and dinner, and he stated that maintenance would respond.
When I returned approximately 2.5 hours later, I went back to my room and found that the temperature had not changed. The room remained warm and had not improved. I again returned to the front desk and spoke with Christian, who again stated that maintenance would respond. Shortly afterward, an employee came to my room with a box fan. This appeared to be the only solution offered. I had opened the window because the outside air was cooler than the air inside the room. After the box fan was delivered, I returned downstairs and again spoke with Christian, asking whether a box fan was the intended solution. No additional remedy was offered. I was also staying at the property with other work employees who were in a different room and experienced similar temperature issues.
I did not check out until approximately 1900 hours on 7-19-26. That morning, numerous guests were checking out, and the IHG website was accepting reservations for that same date. Despite this, I was never offered another room or any other reasonable remedy. Based on this experience, I would not stay at this property again and will likely avoid IHG properties in the future.
From valet, to the bell desk, to check with in Freddy, this was a wonderful experience! The hotel was clean, all staff were friendly and the room service was delicious!
Location, location, location. That’s the best part of this hotel. It was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go.
Spacious king room with plenty of lighting, large bathroom with counter space for assorted toiletries, excellent high-pressure shower, many outlets for chargers, and a nice size desk.
The multi- level gym was ok; most of the machines were treadmills. The virtual concierge was helpful but an actual concierge at the hotel would be much better!
The cons are : an unremarkable old fashioned breakfast. I think the breakfast on the road at a Hampton Inn might be superior. Definitely skip the breakfast!
The colors in our room were a drab grey and beige. No real place to hang out in the lobby.
Not an awful place to stay but will not be returning. We booked here because of the heat, we thought we might need a pool, but the historic pool and surrounding lounge area weren’t so inviting.
Had to change rooms three times because HVAC either didn't work or had soaked the carpeting. Finally got a room that worked; no one from the hotel called the next day to see if it all worked out. No chair to sit on in room, but odd pieces of unusable furniture sticking out everyone. Phone wouldn't work. Found long hair on my bed. NO remote in the room; had to call to get one. Holes in the bathroom wall. Shower was good, but everything else is very dated and/or doesn't work.
The location was perfect and close to Navy Pier and the beaches. We stayed on the historic side and the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The pool and weight rooms were clean and accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bonus is that there was a restaurant and Starbucks attached as well. Wonderful atmosphere overall.
I came to the Interconti with my grandson. The swimming pool is great. Breakfast is awesome, varied and the waiters/waitresses are helpful and nice. The room is correct and the cleanng lady is so nice. The hotel is at walking distance to every important place to visit. The only drawback is to even at 35th level it is rather noisy (air-con and noise from the streets.till 11 or 12pm.
