A wonderful experience, we felt very looked after, it really helped make our anniversary that much more special.
We arrived and straight away got some fantastic local advice on where to eat, which suited us so well. We had an issue with the booking process, which was not the fault of the hotel. They did everything they could to help resolve the situation and not let it spoil our experience.
Our room was beautiful, and opulent. The food was lovely and the staff were very attentive. Thank you for such a lovely time!
Great central location - easy to walk to the marina and other key places in 5 minutes.
Parking was easy enough, parked on the street near enough in front of the guest house, for free.
Friendly, helpful staff - willing to help and always spoke to you. They were also willing to support via email before the visit to suggest places to eat/park. We were introduced to the cleaner which was lovely and she was so friendly, spending most of the day cleaning. The place smelt lovely and was very clean.
The guest house felt luxurious as it said in the name; lovely decor (marble), swimming pool, nice outdoor area (which lit up at night) for breakfast, waterfall shower in the bathroom with the bathroom itself being beautiful with fancy taps, branding on everything including bedding, very comfy bed, automatic shutters, fridge, TV and safe in the room, a basket of goodies on the bed when we arrived (slippers, toothbrush/mini toothpaste, shower cap and combs each), shampoo, shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom, plus a hair dryer etc. It really did feel like luxury and we wish we could have stayed longer.
It was very quiet, though we were overlooking the pool. You could hear the planes a little in the morning but this didn’t bother us in the slightest.
Fantastic value for money - it’s the sort of place you’d happily pay more for.
Highly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed!
Very lovely place to stay. We loved the room - a living room and bedroom with a jacuzzi. The rooms are clean, and have been furnished with so much care and detail - it was a pleasant experience to live there. The bathroom shower system showed you the temp of the water and the amount of time you are spending in the shower. Loved it. The hotel is quiet, sleep was not an issue. The pool area was inviting, and well-decorated - though we didn't have any time to lounge by the pool. :)
The hotel is well-located near the main streets in Faro, marina and Faro train station (5 mins walk). Parking is parallel parking near the hotel if you get it, or have to look around the neighborhood if you come in later in the evening after a day out.
Incase, you are renting a car, and taking the train from Faro to another destination: this hotel worked out as well.
We arrived in Faro by train from Lisbon. Took an Uber from the train station to the airport to pick up our car, and then checked in at our hotel. On our last day in the Algarve region, we dropped off the car at the airport rental center, and then Uber back to our hotel. On the day of the train journey from Faro to Porto, we walked from our hotel to the train station, which was a 5-7 mins walk, and it worked out, as we didn't have to look for an Uber early in the morning (Around 6:30am)

I cannot fault this place! From the minute we arrived they could not do enough to make our stay fabulous. Spotless room and stunning decor. Fabulous shower and the air conditioning really helped. Pool is gorgeous, with well kept gardens and everywhere is really clean. Breakfast was awesome!!

Located within walking distance to the old city gate and the marina, this was a gem of a find. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, room was amazing, breakfast was wonderful., and pool was perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience. 10 stars if I could.
We were so glad we picked this hotel for our stay in Faro. It is spotlessly clean and the room was lovely. The towels, pool towels and bedding are exceptional. All monogrammed which is a lovely touch. Breakfast by the pool was so relaxing. Staff are the nicest most helpful people you could meet. Pedro managed to accommodate our late checkout which we really appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend staying here. It is so much nicer in real life. Thank you to the staff at Opus One.
Great location in Faro. Walking distance to shops and dining. Very close to the airport. The room was very big compared to most rooms we stayed at and the property itself was very nice with a pool area.
Wanted a place to stay for a few days in Faro, couldn’t have picked a better place. Went for the upgraded room with balcony and whirlpool bath and no regrets, perfect room, very quiet and comfy. Staff were very friendly (thank you Pedro) and felt like a home away from home for a few days, just comfy and clean. Only a few minutes walk from the city center. Would happily return.
The accomodations are high end it is clean and it is in an excellent location nice staff too it was exceptional
We had such a lovely stay at Opus One! We were surprised with a free room upgrade which was amazing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming – a big thank you to Pedro for being so helpful and making us feel at home. The location couldn’t be better, everything in Faro is just a short walk away. We’d definitely come back!

We booked this hotel for our young adult daughter. Her plane got diverted and finally landed in Faro close to midnight and the hotel was so very accommodating and were still able to provide paid shuttle service. My daughter was more than happy with the room for being clean, spacious and comfy bed.
Pedro was fantastic! He is so knowledgeable, kind, resourceful, and genuinely cares about you having a great stay! Please treat him well so customers continue for repeat visits… Excited to return to see the renovations after January 2026. Even though the hotel is beautiful and such a great space! We hope the renovations complement the current space…

Honestly superb. The decor is lovely and clean. The service was impeccable the hotel staff were amazing and accommodating. If I found myself back in Faro this would be the only place I would want to stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was easily walkable to shopping and dining in addition to the bus and train stations. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a large balconly overlooking the pool. We enjoyed both the pool (although it was a little cool for my taste) and the pool table quite frequently. Additionally, the staff was kind and gracious. I only gave a 4 out of 5 rating because the property itself needs a little TLC with some refurbishing projects which, as explained to us, the new owners are quite well aware of and have plans to address soon. All that aside, i would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area.
Lovely little oasis when the sun is really hot as the pool is perfect. Room was ideal for us and location was so convenient. Lovely look forward to our next stay
