I cannot recommend this hotel based on my recent experience
Pros:

I stayed at Movich Hotel Pereira for three nights and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing compared to what I remembered from previous visits.

During my entire stay, the air conditioning in my room did not work properly. The heat was unbearable and made it extremely difficult to rest comfortably. For a hotel of this category, this is simply unacceptable.

Additionally, before making my reservation, I called the hotel to confirm that pets were allowed and specifically asked about emotional support dogs. However, upon arrival, I felt that some staff members were dismissive and unwelcoming toward my dogs. I was even told that I could not walk them in common areas because the hotel is not truly pet-friendly.

If a hotel chooses to accept pets, they should be welcomed with respect and kindness. Otherwise, it would be better to clearly communicate that the property does not offer a genuinely pet-friendly experience.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I stayed at this hotel about five years ago and had a completely different impression. Sadly, I feel that both the facilities and the overall level of service have deteriorated significantly. The Movich I experienced this time is not the Movich I remembered.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my recent experience.

Como buena Pereirana, Cafetera , me esperaba un delicioso Pan con sabor a Café. Como dice ahí en el buffet. Pero lo unico que tenía Cafe, creo que era el colorante del pan. 🥴 Recomendacion: mejorar la receta o no hacer el ridiculo con los turistas ! Porque literal, es un pan Café no con sabor a Café. — 1000 ⭐️

Facilities within the room need to be upgraded to 2026.

Location, general overall beauty of the facility.

Cons:

Room needs door card to turn on lights, tv, air conditioning. It also turns on a bank of lights behind the bed that runs the length of the room. There is no switch to turn it off. So you sleep with lights in or no a/c, tv, etc. only 1(one) electrical plug in the entire room and it’s located away from the beds. You either get to charge your phone or keep it by your bedside.

A quality hotel with a great buffet breakfast.
Pros:

The staff at check in and check out were friendly, professional, and efficient. The breakfast buffet was the best hotel breakfast that I've had in years. I'd stay at this hotel again just for the breakfast. Although it's an older building, it's been updated, and in particular, the lobby looks great. One of the massage therapists in the spa spoke English well, which was helpful.

Cons:

The pool service could be improved. While friendly, the pool service was slow, and the price of a gin and tonic was a bit of a shock, too.
