クーラーが壊れてて暑かった
Location is perfect! Just in the city center.
Breakfast not only includes international food but also very local Taiwan food!
The SPA service is unbeatable, best service in town!
Some similiarities with the Sheraton nearby - old, large, popular
Apart from above, Regent houses a luxury mall
As ambassador member, i didn’t get a nice upgrade. No amenities provided, but you can call for a toothbrush. Room lacks modern facilities like electric curtains. Tv remote no longer works well and neither is the toilet bowl
Gym is inconvenient to get to. It’s another block, and that 1 elevator is always full. I waited 10 min for several to pass. And it’s old, small and stuffy in the basement
Breakfast ok. It’s a large space and crowded
One front desk staff member, Daniel, was unfortunately very slow and unfriendly. While most of the staff were warm, professional, and polite, our experience with him was disappointing.
He initially charged us the wrong room rate, and when we pointed out the mistake, he did not apologize. Instead, he offered various explanations without acknowledging the error. The situation was handled poorly from start to finish, which felt well below the standard we would expect from a Regent property.
Thankfully, the rest of the staff were pleasant and helpful, but this interaction left a negative impression on an otherwise enjoyable stay.
A relic from the 90s in decline that I cannot recommend. It might have been "luxury" in 1990 but today it's barely 4-stars. The rooms looked like some state owned guesthouse hotel in a small city in china.
The rooms are terribly worn with no soundproof. All of the food were awful from silks place to in room dining. Lots of families come here and it gets very busy. I had to change rooms due to some kids next door that decided to talk loudly at 10pm.
Furniture were all rock hard so is the bed. The bathroom brings you right back to last century. The stains in the tub turned me off from bathing instantly. There were multiple scratches in the wooden closet. The office chair was very low and uncomfortable.
The service was passable but some times the porters did not get my cab doors and ignored me. And I had to queue for a while to check-in. Not recommended at all.
I had a wonderful stay at Regent Taipei recently and was very impressed by the professionalism and hospitality of the team.
As an IHG Platinum member, I especially appreciated the extra level of recognition and generosity shown during my visit. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make the experience memorable.
I would also like to specifically thank 張先生 for his professionalism and consideration when assisting me with a later reservation.
The hotel is beautiful, there’s plenty of luxury shopping stores below alongside a large dining hall that has classical music. The rooms were on par for a 5 star, but felt like it missed the mark to give it a ‘wow this is amazing’ factor. I wouldn’t mind going back but I would also be open to trying new stays in taipei. The staff is very nice and helpful though. Luxury shopping felt like the main point people stay here.
You think its 5 stars well think again .
Not a single area i would say i was satisfied .
Room assignment next to lift when my profile away from lift .
Birthday celebration well you have to go pick up your cake from concierge, other hotels deliver it to your room or prépare it before your arrival .
Sleeping quality nil with hard mattress like rock .
I stayed 2 days my room was never cleaned ,you leave at 10 am return 13:15 and room not done ,when you call reception ,the answer is shall I send someone ,why hotels think guest are confortable having room cleaned while they are in???do your job on time and dont ask ,amazing explanation by balcony lounge receptionist ,room cleaning might take up to 5pm so not surprising by 1pm its nit done .
To the manager :get some cleaning advise from Holiday inn express ,they seem more efficient than you.
To all holders of lounge pass ,avoid this property ,they wont allow you into the real lounge but an alternative that i call snack lounge ,IHG please list this hotel as exclusion to lounge pass .
This hotel might have a past glory but its an outdated old lady .
This hotel should definitely look for advises from Regent Shanghai or Hong kong .
Excellent
I like the size of the room and the water pressure in the shower and the hot water was very nice in the staff were extremely nice
The bed was hard as a rock and not comfortable at all plus, the hotel is kind of out of the way, and not many restaurants near the hotel to choose from. Also, the Japanese restaurant in the basement I could never find it. Pour instructions on how to get there.
