The location is very good - easily accessible by public transportation. The hotel was comfortable and the room was spacious. The breakfast was a variety of foods and we could choose to our daily taste. We enjoyed the stay and our trip.

Everything, it is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the generosity of hotel management. This is now our new favorite hotel in Taipei!

We booked 2 rooms using a combination of AMEX FHR and IHG points. The AMEX bookings received $150 in spa credit and breakfast. We were super surprised when we learned that even our bookings in points receive free breakfast AND complementary mini bar! WOW, that’s beyond generous!

Regent is a very energetic and lively hotel, with lots of foreign tourists coming and going constantly. The front desk is super busy but the staff worked hard to manage the traffic, so the wait was never too bad even during peak hours. Breakfast is super busy too, but we always got seated quickly.

To summarize:
-Hotel is located in a very busy and walkable area, with tons of restaurants nearby.
-Breakfast is of good quality and a large spread of both Asian and Western options.
-Even though the hotel is very busy, Regent has a large number of hard working employees and there’s never much of a wait for anything, i.e. there’s always someone holding the door, hailing a taxi, helping you with luggages, there are so many elevators we never had to wait more than a few seconds for elevators, etc.
-The spa is pricy but amazing. The AMEX FHR $150 spa credit almost pays for 1 hour of massage (the certificate is good for $4,500 NT and 1 hour of massage is $4,800 NT). You get an extremely large room all to yourself, and you can enjoy an amazing steam shower both before and after the massage.
-The hotel sauna, which is complementary to all hotel guests, is supposed to be one of the highlights. It offers 3 dipping pools and 3 wet/dry sauna rooms. I didn’t have a chance to try unfortunately, but my friend did and she loved it!
-The hotel restaurants have good reputations and we wanted to try a few, but they were booked solid during our stay. We will try to book our spa/restaurant reservation ahead of our arrival next time we’re in town.
-Other reviews wrote about the hard mattresses. Well, Asians prefer firm mattresses, and since Regent receives mostly Asian tourists, I can understand their mattress of choice. They are harder than what I have at home but still very comfortable and we slept like babies.
-It is true the rooms are showing their age and not as “pretty” as, say, Mandarin Oriental. But the rooms are clean, spacious, and well kept. A little tip for housekeeping goes a long way-they will bring you all the water and fruits you can possibly want.

In short, Regent is an excellent choice if you like to experience all the energy, including all the hustle and bustle that is Taipei. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return.

她也為我們準備了一個生日蛋糕，讓我可以送給母親。我的母親對這個蛋糕感到非常開心，這也成為我們一家人非常難忘的回憶。

在我們離開的時候，Vivian 也特地前來向我們道別，並祝福我們接下來的旅程一切順利。能在 Tai Pan Lounge 遇到如此溫暖又貼心的服務人員，讓我們度過了一段非常舒適且難忘的時光，我由衷地感謝她。

在 Silks House 餐廳，Woo主廚特別為我們設計了餐點，而 Silks House 的總監 Meg 也親自前來問候。由於他們細心的安排與照顧，即使我有過敏問題，也能非常安心地享用餐點。

此外，Silks House 的 Meidy 先生也展現了非常貼心與溫暖的服務。當他注意到我似乎因為料理的辣度而有些吃得辛苦時，他一直細心地關心並留意我的狀況。他也分享自己來自印尼，並用印尼語以及日語與我們交流，讓我們感到非常溫暖與親切。這家餐廳不僅料理美味，服務更是十分出色。

我由衷感謝他們所提供的卓越款待。

如果來到台北，我非常推薦這家酒店。我認為這是真正世界頂級的五星級酒店之一。

Our stay was truly wonderful thanks to Vivian.

Vivian from the Tai Pan Lounge kindly and carefully explained each sightseeing spot to us in great detail. Whenever we returned to the lounge, she thoughtfully asked how our visits had been and whether we had enjoyed the places she recommended. Her genuine care and attention made our stay even more special.

She also prepared a birthday cake for us, which I was able to present to my mother. My mother was absolutely delighted with the cake, and it became a very memorable moment for our family.

When we were leaving, Vivian kindly came to say goodbye and wished us a wonderful rest of our journey. Having such a warm and thoughtful staff member in the Tai Pan Lounge made our stay incredibly comfortable and memorable. I am truly grateful to her.

At the Silks House restaurant, Chef Wo thoughtfully created dishes especially for us, and the Director of Silks House, Meg, also came to greet us. Thanks to their careful attention, I was able to enjoy the meal with complete peace of mind despite my allergies.

In addition, Meidy from Silks House showed great kindness and care. When he noticed that I seemed to be struggling a little with the spiciness of the food, he attentively checked on me and made sure I was comfortable. He also shared that he is from Indonesia and spoke with us in Indonesian as well as Japanese, which made us feel very warm and welcomed. Not only was the food delicious, but the service at this restaurant was truly outstanding.

I would like to sincerely thank them for their wonderful hospitality.

This is truly a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Taipei. I would say it is one of the best five-star hotels in the world.

I’m a repeat guest and it’s incredible how far this property has fallen. This used to be one of the most elegant spots in Taipei. Upon check in, I immediately noticed blood stain on a towel and nasty mold all around the sink area. Is this a 5 star hotel? You be the judge.

There was no real service recovery when I raised the issue, aside from an empty apology. The housekeeper had this blank look on her face when I showed her like it’s supposed to be normal. I’ve never seen this level of carelessness in room quality before at any hotel I’ve stayed at. That’s all I gotta say. Consumers can vote with their wallet
