Thank you Taylor she was awesome and made my accommodations for me to make a memorable trip !! I called in and she fulfilled every one! Wonderful giving me so much joy !
Super beliggenhet, fine fasiliteter særlig treningsrom og basseng, fint rom.
Absolutely the worst customer service of any Hilton property. The front desk manager is rude and condescending. He has no business in a customer facing role. Called to have an emailed receipt and the lady spoke with a tone of annoyance letting me know, “she will send it when she gets to it.” Really? Beautiful hotel but I would stay somewhere with better humans.
Location
Only 2 elevators worked and the hotel was full so we had to take the stairs a couple times and there is no clear indication of how to use them. That is dangerous!
The room was outdated and at 830am when we’re still laying in bed, housekeeping knocked and then opened the door. They did not announce themselves all we heard was the door open. When i called the front desk she told me they were trying to service the room. If we have not notified you that we are out of the room that early, you should not be trying to enter the room. When I asked all the desk person said was to put the privacy sign up and that they start at 8. I have never had that happen at any of the hotels I’ve stayed at. Very odd and a little bit rude.
The hotel staff was beyond exceptional. The room wasn't opulent, but very nice, exactly as described, and VERY comfortable. The location was great for US, because of what we were there to do. Other locations may be preferable to other travelers depending on what their needs are, but this Hilton has fantastic valet and concierge staff, and is close to excellent restaurants, and close enough to mass transit to reach anywhere in the city easily.
Any complaint would be nitpicking, because we got more than we expected.
Much has been made in these reviews about dated decor, and it’s true that rooms at this hotel don’t reflect up-to-the-minute decorating trends. But ours on the 17th floor was tasteful, spacious, comfortable, and perfectly immaculate (the housekeeping at this Hilton is, in fact, unusually professional and unintrusive). As an added bonus, we had a sliver of a view of the lake. These are genuine suites, with walk-through bathrooms and separate bedrooms and living rooms. This high in the hotel, our room was absolutely silent, and the Hilton’s location, across the street from the ex-Hancock Tower, a block from Michigan Avenue, and two blocks from the lake, couldn’t be more convenient for shopping and cultural institutions. We also enjoyed the quality and selections at the quasi-Australian Chapel Street cafe off the lobby, although slapdash service in the dining room makes it better for a quick bite or takeout than for sit-down dining. In all, I’d certainly recommend this hotel and would enjoy staying here again.
The location can't be beat, and I really appreciate the layout of the room which allowed for flex with our family of 3. The staff were friendly and helpful.
That said, the hotel needs renovating. Our room was stuffy, with several broken fixtures, holes in the carpet, and the extra blanket was visibly dirty. The food from the restaurant was not very good.
Perfect location, with comfortable large suites.
