Cons:

Breakfast offerings could have been a little better, a little non flavored creamer for coffee, stuff like that. It was a little generic compared to the rest of the property. The vending area closest to my room had no vending offerings, so that was a sort of bemusement and savings.

Convenient location. Exterior is attractive and the rooms are spacious.

Cons:

Receptionist at check-in was a little brief and did give detailed directions on finding our room. It was in another building and we had to go outdoors

There was a huge crack in the ceiling, that bathroom door was awfully loud, the lady who was helping with breakfast was beyond rude, the walls are super thin, heard yelling and dogs barking all night

Excellent Staff! Our suite was not so sweet.
Pros:

We stayed one evening. Upon check in (which was very smooth) I recognized that the room we booked was less than ideal (suite Room 260). The issue was based mostly on cleanliness. However, when the heat turned on, the TV rattled which made peaceful sleep a challenge. I explained the issues to Wen at the front desk, and he shared our concerns with the Manager, Isaac. Both validated my concerns. Isaac worked hard to make our stay better. If you book at the Craftsman, know that calmly explaining any concerns will be heard by an extremely kind, and professional staff.

A week in Syracuse
Pros:

I have stayed at many hotels and most are cookie cutter types. Most being a room with a staff that does their job well. A nice room and maybe a restaurant or a convenience shop. The Craftsman is much more from the moment you enter the lobby, you get a homey feeling. Being welcomed by an above average freindly staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The 5 star restaurant is outstanding. A little pricey for my budget, but an outstanding choice for a special occasion. Need I say dinner with my wife is a special occasion. Stay,eat and enjoy.

Great hotel and restaurant! The rooms are clean and property is well kept. The staff are attentive and the breakfast is a nice added bonus! Convenient to highways, local stores, etc.

Cutting costs to the extreme
Pros:

We’ve stayed here multiple times over the past six years while visiting family. It’s always been decent, but the quality has sadly gone off a cliff recently. They’ve stopped doing housekeeping during your stays, our tv didn’t work, the fireplace in our room didn’t work, there are no towels or cups in the gym, some of the gym equipment is breaking down, and we had to wait twenty minutes for someone to show up at the front desk when we tried to check in. We won’t be returning.
