The Hoxton is a must stay!
Pros:

The Hoxton is a must stay! The entire place has a great vibe. The people who work there are great as well. I was there on a business trip with a group but I would totally want to return for a personal stay. 10/10 stars for sure!!!

Disappointing for the price and reputation
Pros:

Location is fairly decent! Can't complain.
Atmosphere - if you're not dressed to the nines, you'll probably feel uncomfortable staying here on weekends
Rooms - Pretty, but non functional. Fridge fits 2 bottles of water, no microwave, not enough hangers / no closet, minimal drawer space since the fridge and safe both take up a drawer in the dresser. TVs are outdated.
Value - NOT WORTH IT.
Cleanliness - no complaints here!
Noise level - Not bad in the rooms. you'll hear it in the hallways but you'd also expect that for a hotel that has bars and restaurant.
Service - Responsive front desk, but they're condescending and not quick to address actual concerns.
Amenities - Didn't see really any snack options, ice machines, vending machines for drinks/snacks, etc.

Not great, sadly..
Pros:

I genuinely struggled with this hotel. I travel regularly and have stayed in plenty of hotels, but this was one of the most uncomfortable stays I’ve had.

The room was dark, small and felt completely outdated. The TV was tiny and seemed to belong to another era, and the hotel has clearly made very little effort to keep up with modern expectations. There was no food or drink in the minibar, and the room service menu was so limited that it was barely worth having one.

The housekeeping situation was particularly unacceptable. I stayed for an entire week and my room was not serviced. I had to call and effectively beg for fresh towels. At a hotel, basic housekeeping should not be treated as an unreasonable request.

Then there was the noise. Loud trains outside. An air conditioner that seemed to turn itself on and off whenever it pleased, accompanied by a bizarre grunting noise. Paper-thin walls. And, unfortunately, a dog in the room next door that kept me awake at night. The room had so little soundproofing that it often felt like I was sharing the room with the people and animals around me.

The shower had incredibly weak water pressure, which was the final insult after an already exhausting day.

By the end of the week, I was genuinely counting down the hours until I could leave. The location in the West Loop is the one clear positive, and it is a good location. Unfortunately, a good location cannot compensate for a dark, dated, noisy and poorly serviced hotel.

Three stars, and only because of the location. This was an extremely disappointing stay, and I would not return.

Good location but small rooms
Pros:

Modern hotel in a great location. The rooms are too small and they do have a desk in the room. But otherwise good. Can be a bit loud at night.

Buzzy hotel but poor service for the high price
Pros:

The hotel is in a trendy part of town and has a buzzy lobby, with a lounge area, bar and tables. The lobby is crowded all day, both with hotel guests and locals from the area. While lively, even as a hotel guest, you may have difficulty getting a table or place to sit. The hotel is definitely not catering only to their guests, so something to consider. The food was pretty good, but the drinks were watered down and expensive.
While the price is comparable to 5 or 4 star hotels, this is really a 3-4 star experience. The rooms are spartan chic and the service struggles a bit. Housekeeping is only upon request, and despite asking for it, my room wasn’t serviced. It felt like a Airbnb, not a high end hotel. Pretty disappointing for over $500 a night.
If you are young and want to stay somewhere fun, this may be for you. If you are looking for a more premium experience, I’d go elsewhere.

Great boutique in a great location
Pros:

Great location. Great hotel. Great ambiance and has a old time theme with a cozy feel. Several restaurants in the area and withing walking distance. There is an elevated right outside so the train noises are there but that's a charm of the location.

Highly disappointed
Pros:

I didn’t like this property. Good location, overpriced food and drink we paid $50 for room service burgers and fries. No face towels provided, no fitted sheets on bed, phone in room didn’t work for calling the front desk, mobile options for room service didn’t work, room is small, had to buy a pass to use the gym. Would not recommend. At $800 for 2 nights this property is a 3 star at best

Good hotel, but they lie about a lot of things
Pros:

So much false advertising. I rarely write bad reviews, but no discount for taking the train to the venue (online it claims you get a $20 discount). We took public transportation instead of an Uber just to be told CTA Blue doesn’t count. We booked on their website because it says then you can checkout at 4PM. They didn’t honor that once we arrived in Chicago. Close friends booked this venue as their room block hotel for their wedding. When we returned to the hotel for a small (20 ppl) after party after the reception, we were told they were closed. All publicly available information says the establishment is open until 2AM. We returned around 1:05AM, and the bar staff told us that last call was at 1AM and that we could not drink at any bars at the Hoxton. There were literally 10+ people on staff, just looking at their phones. They were not cleaning, they were not prepping for tomorrow, they just decided to close early because it was slow that night. Supporting this theory, when I asked the front desk, they told us the bars closed early because business was slow due to the rain. Overall, it’s a good hotel, but the lying is out of control. Would not recommend and buyer beware because this establishment makes promises it will not honor.

Visit at the Hoxton Chicago
Pros:

I recently stayed at The Hoxton Chicago and had a great experience. The hotel has a fun, stylish atmosphere with a great vibe from the moment you walk in. Everything was very clean, and the rooms were comfortable and well maintained.

One of the highlights was the rooftop pool, which was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the city. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast bag delivered in the morning—it was a thoughtful touch that made busy mornings easy. Having coffee available in the room was another convenience I enjoyed.

The location is excellent, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, the Riverwalk, and many of Chicago’s attractions. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose The Hoxton again on my next trip to Chicago.

lackluster
Pros:

The rooms were quiet enough to block out the heavy noise from the train and nightlife nearby

Cons:

The food was too Spanish/Mediterranean for our taste. Both restaurants did not have enough of a variety so we chose to eat elsewhere. We were very disappointed with the lack of security and overwhelming crowds in the evening prohibiting us from accessing the Lazy Bird or the Rooftop bar at all due to an influx of people who were not staying at the hotel/resort. The hefty fees for the room and resort fee were unacceptable as we weren't able to enjoy any of the perks

Form over Function
Pros:

Great location to restaurants, comfortable beds and wonderful period updates in the room and throughout the hotel. On the downside, rooms are tight, housekeeping is untrained, bathroom water pressure low, the EL is loud and the lobby is rocking loud music all weekend. They charge a 5-Star price for a 4-Star hotel with some issues.
