Bad management
Not worth it
Es macht eigentlich jeder was er will da.
Location was great
No security cameras. Some random guys were walking the hallways pulling the doorknobs to see if if the rooms were open and then we spotted them in the parking lot. That’s scary.
I had a great time with my family. A special thanks to Elias, who was so kind and helped us while we were kayaking and paddleboarding. We truly appreciated his kindness!
todo
I liked the location of the property.
WiFi did not work so throughout the entire stay we could not use our phones at the hotel or Netflix on the tv. Our room was poorly cleaned, and our bed was poorly made. I ordered my girlfriend a picnic basket that was supposed to come on the second day of our trip. It came on the first night and ruined the surprise for her. Staff did not make us aware of the water conditions by the shore/ did not make us away of the bacteria from previous storms that made it unsafe to swim in. Phones did not work in the room so we were not able to order room service or call the front desk in case we needed anything. The hotel itself was in poor condition inside of the hallways. At 10:45 am staff members were already knocking on the door to ask us to leave - check out is not until 11am. Many things were wrong with this stay unfortunately- for the price not worth it.
Location was great. Shuttle made things much easier. Great view, and things to do on site
They don’t tell you that everything is cashless. Also the food was no great at all for the price you pay.
The property had lots of good amenities, you don’t even need to leave the resort to have a good time.
Some things were a little bit unkempt
Location
Repair work ongoing in hallway.
The people working here were amazing! So friendly and kind. property very relaxing, beautifully kept. wonderful people perfect weekend.
MK was so helpful and kind. She put us at ease going out on paddle boards.
Ask if the are under necessary repairs before you go ... we had the worst experience ever. We have visited Islamorada many times before and have tried different hotels ... I recommend the rest of them not Amara Cay Resort.
Flood damaged! Go to Cheeca Lodge. It’s way better. The hotel is flooded by a sprinkler: ceilings are down, carpets wet and a bit smelly; noisy multiple dehumidifiers are going constantly in first, second and third floors with workmen removing skirtings etc,. After booking a seaview with loveholidays, we were gives a very limited partial seaview. Nice enough but not what was booked. We were then told there would be a $75 a day resort charge! This was to cover pool, kayaks, paddleboards etc ., but no reduction was given when we could only use them one day in six. We were told that there was more going on at the two sister hotels, so went on our first full day to the Three waters. However, on arrival, I cut my foot on glass at the pool area. Staff were helpful and gave first aid to stem the bleeding and gave butterfly stitches to close the wound. This meant I could not use the pool and as the glass had been embedded deeply, spoiled the holiday due to risk of infection. Staff were mostly helpful , resort nice enough but not nearly as nice as many others in the area and a total dump inside at the moment. Our tv was also not working either and had to get maintenance to fix it. Guests should not be expected to stay in this and definitely not be expected to pay a resort fee ! A refund should be given instead.
Great place for you to take time off and relax. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was the best so far. We would come back again.
