I liked the free car charging. Staff was friendly especially the morning receptionist.
The breakfast was really bad. I could barely eat anything. The noise from the freeway was very loud and so was the air conditioner. Carpets on the room really need to be replaced. Seemed dirty, old and weathered.
No conditioner, asked for towels never brought them to pool area or hotel room. The next day had to call and ask for towels again since the night before they never came to bring us towels or hair supply.
Tha we waited at pool area a long time to dry off and they never brought us towels.
Well, we were stuck. I had my grandson out at one of his favorite arcade places and my piece of utter junk new Tesla blew a tire. We were an hour from home. Now, to get another tire, filled with foam and there is no spare at all, that takes hours and hours. You can't just call someone local to get one. You have to call Tesla and it is a nightmare. Rant over.
The Double Tree was right there it seemed so we went in. Thankfully we carry TO GO bags in case I get too tired to drive or just want to stop. We walked in and it was hot outside. The front desk I think knew I was livid and kept me calm and they helped me. They were great. We were able to get a room right away. We had no reservations so the price I thought was high for a hotel that needs a refresh, but we were trapped.
No matter, our room was small, but super clean and all I needed was there. We even used the pool and it was great with some nice seating. They have an eatery right there and we had both dinner and breakfast there and it was great and the staff was wonderful.
The only reason they have a 4 and not a 5 is because it is time to refresh the place, but the staff is a solid 5.
They were great to us and if we are near again we might go back there, this time with a reservation.
Location
Bed hard
Absolutely do not recommend this hotel. I normally don't have issues with Hilton properties but this hotel was disgusting. I was a chaperone on a school trip, the travel agency chose this hotel. We had multiple problems from the moment we got there. Rooms were either barely touched up or not cleaned at all, half the keys didn't work, bathrooms were having pluming issues, complementary water was not in the rooms. They expected students to stay in the rooms with pluming issues that smelled like sewage.
The room was disgusting! My room has caked dust on the counters and vents. Stains on my towels and washcloths. Multiple stains on the rugs. Wallpaper seems were curling up and drywall was crumbling out. There was hair in my sink, the faucet was leaking, the outlet was coming out of the way, my tub was gross and was slimy, I immediately laid a towel in the bottom.
Some items from the continental breakfast were ok. The eggs were very watery, the sausage was not good at all. As mentioned above this was a high trip, there was about 110 of us. There was fruit the first day that was good, the second day the fruit was turning brown.
The bed was comfy, thankfully my sheets appeared to be clean, I can't say the same for some of the student rooms. They found stains on their sheets and hair on their pillows.
Close to everything
I was disappointed that the rooms were not like the pictures booking.com had on their website. they were over booked on one of the king rooms and give us a queen room. They told me that it was booking.com fault for over booking the king room.
Not getting the rooms that we booked. Did not look like the pictures at all that booking.com had on their website.
Location was great. Room was clean and nice. Cookies are always delicious.
Reservation from booking was not on their end due to their system being down. I was still able to book a room however this was still an inconvenience as the front desk person told me they were "sold out."
