reception was very smelly rooms were basic old and need a really good deep clean
The location is very handy for the Concorde Club.
The room had everything you needed it in.
We found the bed very uncomfortable, it needs a mattress topper on it, as the mattress was lumpy and hard.
An absolute last minute booking. Stood outside and noticed the hotel and booked it there and then.
Nothing remarkable. A clean, quiet room with a great mattress. Really good nights sleep.
Breakfast was exceptional though. Not fancy or anything but just right. Immediate staff attention, hot drink followed by order. No fuss. A well laid out buffet table with everything you could want - fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastry, cereals and the eponymous toast conveyor - what could be better? They had a good English on the menu that I could see others tucking into but they had smoked haddock and poached egg. Couldn't miss that. I feared a huge slab of overcooked yellow fish. Instead a nice modest portion of lightly smoked, firm haddock with two perfect poached eggs.
In and out, well rested, well fed and no fuss.

Quiet and bed comfy
Room dirty especially the skirting boards. It was really cold and took ages to warm up after we put the heater on. Reception staff made us feel we were inconveniencing them, even when we wanted to check in.
The staff were brilliant, frienedly and helpful, the dinner and breakfast was REALLY good and the location perfect before our cruise from Southampton.
Room was a bit tired and dated but clean and comfortable enough!

Overwhelming smell of dog in reception, room was fine but passing thorugh the lobby was unpleasant
Nice spacious room. Quiet location. Clean, bright and warm. Good breakfast. Restaurant on site with a good menu for evening meals. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of car parking spaces.
Walking outdoors to the breakfast area. This is fine when it's dry but could be a bit tricky in the winter when it's wet and possibly slippery. A covered walkway would be really helpful.
There was a particular member of staff who wasn't very welcoming which put us off to a very negative start.
A nice location and nice bar restaurant
A little run down needs a few quid spent on it, rooms a bit dark and old but quite clean considering the dated look
