The resort was quiet towards the later part of September. Perhaps most people visiting Abu Simbel chose to spend the night in Aswan. We were nicely surprised by how beautiful the ground looked and well maintained. Individual bungalows spread out around a couple of gorgeous swimming pools. Our unit had a river view but we wished we had chosen the pool view. We also wished that we stayed here for three or four nights to fully enjoy the resort amenities instead of just one night.
I thought the position was great.
Wifi was pretty poor.
The full day we were had to use the pool, there were way to few beds to lie by the pool.
Pool is very nice.
Great hotel with good services.
a very good hotel for an overnight in Abu Simbel. the only negative is the price. but i can understand the cost of maintaining the property in good shape
A desert oasis with gorgeous view on the lake. Excellent food!
Helpful staff. Easy to walk to Abu Simbel complex and also to local village where the street food is inexpensive and scrumptious. Not a fan of the Sound and Light show, like the others, but nice to be there at night time. I was treated to an upgrade and transportation was arranged for me from Aswan and back. I really appreciated that service.
My sister and I had a wonderful experience at Seti Hotel. We were greeted on arrival with friendly faces and care that set the tone for our whole stay. The facility is absolutely beautiful with Lake Nasser room views and it’s evident that staff take pride in the resort. Reception was very helpful with helping us coordinate our Abu Simbel Temple experience, especially the sound and light show. I wish we stayed longer.
Close to the temples as we visited them afternoon, night show & sunrise viewings.
Arranged transport twice. Driver, Waled, waited while we attended night show, about 1-hour & then again for the 06:00 sunrise viewing, he waited another hour.
Thanks Waled & hotel concierge.
Très bon séjour pour être proche d Abou simbel. Le manager a été très gentil et a su répondre à nos demandes. Je ne peux que recommander cet hôtel si vous souhaitez aller visiter le temple! Un petit havre de paix ou l’on se sent bien
so nice!
We had a nice stay. We really appreciate.
Very close to Abu Simbel…walking distance. Beautiful location on the water. Peaceful place
Location is great. I had an issue with the air conditioning breaking down in the middle of the night, but they took care in a professional way. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Abu Simbel.
After close to 10 days of touring, staying at the SETI resort was a welcomed change. Peaceful, quiet it’s like be My in an oasis
Very good, excellent setting
This is the hotel to stay in Abu Simbel. It is nice resort and rooms are spacious. But, I booked a standard triple room that initially had 1 king bed. When I complained, I was put into a room that only had 2 twins instead of 3.
Had an issue with dried blood on my duvet cover when I pulled covers back - the hotel responded promptly and replaced the cover revealing a urine stained duvet insert which was not replaced.
Dinner buffet is expensive and food is alright. Included breakfast buffet is better.
Staff for the most part is good. But, as sun was setting and people gathered around the edge of the pool and lakeside to watch the sunset and take pictures. A clueless staff member with a bug/insectside fogger comes walking down the path and fogging up the area chasing people away just as the sun is setting.
As others have said, it is expensive because it is the only decent facility here. Front desk staff are good and arranged for reasonably priced transfers and guide.
It is not worth the price. It is very expensive, the rooms are old and the food is average.
This is probably the best option in Abu Simbel. A drawback is getting a taxi. You are better off arranging a guide with transportation if you are visiting alone, not in a group. The temples are close, but starting May temperatures creep over 40 degrees. Walking 20 min in scorching heat is not for everyone.
2 weeks later and the verdict is still out for me. The staff is very kind, the views are super, the rooms were clean and unique. Location is great with an easy safe walk to Abu Simbel's temples.
It is virtually impossible to contact the hotel. I had sparrradic contact via the hotels.com chat site. We booked two triple for a family of 4--the only rooms they had left (every site had them sold out) for a whopping $800+ BUT when we arrived it was virtually empty with only a few other guests. We were put into doubles when we paid for triples. That felt like a bit of a money grab. But there really are not many other options in town. All said it is 100% worth being there where there are no crowds.
