I truly enjoyed my visit to the Hotel. Top shelf experience all around.
I spoke with many of the staff, especially making conversation with the bellmen!
Donte, Jesus, and Nigel were truly a joy to visit with in passing. They are doing a great job with hospitality and customer service!
Just leaving The Adolphus hotel and I can’t say enough about the friendly and responsive staff! Each interaction was a pleasure and they go above & beyond to ensure your stay exceed expectations, especially Heistand, who greeted me by name and who worked to ensure my pick-ups went smoothly. He went even as far as to flag down an uber driver who was at an incorrect pick up spot and led him to the front door where I was standing. Heistand is an employee anyone would want as an ambassador of their brand - thank you for your high level of service and engaging conversation!
Localização e conforto
The hotel was fantastic. Oasis in the concrete jungle.
The service and drinks at Otto’s was a great way to start the day. City Hall has great light fare and an LA juicery vibe.
Rodeo Bar had a great view of the digital wall - where we caught the Super Bowl!
My favorite part were the items of historical significance, like the Titanic Piano and portrait of Napoleon.
RICH was an amazing help accessing all the hotel had to offer. He educated, he offered his time, and has a great sense of humor.
When I’m in Dallas - I’m at the Adolphus, period.
Pros: Comfortable big bed & Fun lobby that just had a unique vibe.. Also the valet service was pretty nice.
Cons: The rooms are smaller than expected honestly.. Just nothing special. I honestly think you should only be booking this for the lobby vibes, which can also be quiet chaotic at times.
I had my first experience in a hotel of this caliber in Dallas. Front to back absolute excellence. I had Mr. Aguilera taking care of me. He arranged everything from the car being pulled up to luggage brought to the room to information about the city. I can say without a doubt that every time I go to Dallas, this is the place I will be.
It was wedding weekend for our daughter. The Adolphus exceeded our expectations in every way! The venue and rooms were beautiful, service was outstanding, and the vibe can’t be beat. GO.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff
Very loud noises outside throughout the night
The lobby is very beautiful and impressive. The building itself is aesthetically pleasing and well located. There is also a nice café in the lobby, which is convenient for breakfast.
Upon arrival, we were initially given a room different from the one we had booked — it was smaller and clearly cheaper. Later we were moved to another room, but we had to wait while it was being cleaned. Unfortunately, when we finally checked in, the cleanliness was unacceptable: the room was full of hair, the upper shelves of the wardrobe were covered in dust, under the beds it looked like no one had cleaned for months, and the windows were dirty.
I strongly do not recommend leaving a security deposit at this hotel. First, USD 200 was charged from my card, and then, a few days later, an additional USD 400 was inexplicably charged without my consent. The money has not been returned for over a month. The hotel does not respond to emails at all, and despite several phone calls, there has been no reaction. Booking.com has also been unable to resolve this issue. We did not use the minibar.
At check-out, we fully paid for everything we used. I repeatedly asked the reception to provide an official receipt detailing accommodation and food charges, but this was refused. The staff simply said that everything was settled. As far as I understand, providing such a receipt is a legal obligation.
Update:
Following this review, Booking.com conducted a detailed investigation of the case. The issue has now been fully resolved. All disputed charges were refunded, and additionally, the full cost of my stay was returned as a goodwill gesture.
While the issues described above did occur and caused significant frustration at the time, I appreciate that the matter was ultimately handled professionally and fairly. I am updating this review to reflect the final outcome.
We’re staying here this weekend for a birthday and an anniversary. Dan at the concierge and Tim the champagne happy hour made us feel so welcome, Otto’s coffee shop this morning was great.. and the spa today was one of the finest spa days I’ve had. Wow! Melissa and Corrina gave us amazing service. I feel like this hotel truly cares about us. Thank you
The property is gorgeous, all the staff are amazing, attwntitive and friendly. Special shout out to Dante and Nigel for taking care of all my luggage!
We had a fantastic night at the winter village. We went for the vibes but the service really made it. Ma’nae was so friendly and made us feel at home in our cute little chalet. Highly reco for anyone looking for a cozy yet festive holiday night out.
Location is great, room is clean, like the cafe in hotel the most.
Room is a bit small, heating/AC is not working well, it’s too loud and cannot heat the room, didn’t sleep well and feel cold.
Property is historic but poorly managed. The amenity fee, according to website, email confirmation, and at time of check in, was $25 per night. Fine. Upon checkout, I was charged $30 per night. Additionally, the hotel did NOT offset the spend at the Rodeo Bar, as they should have per the food and beverage credit part of the (incorrectly charged) amenity fee. They still did not credit it back properly when I emailed upon receiving the folio. The amenity fee is always a cheap trick in my book, but it's especially egregious when they both 1) get the fee wrong, 2) don't even provide the amenities that they claim. Management becomes 100% responsible for this.
We had a wonderful experience at The Adolphus, made even more special by Nigel. He took the time to personally guide us through the hotel’s beautiful common areas, including the restaurants, and shared the rich history behind the property along the way. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine pride in the hotel truly brought the space to life. It felt less like a tour and more like a thoughtfully curated experience. Nigel went above and beyond, and his warmth and attention to detail perfectly reflected the level of hospitality The Adolphus is known for. Thank you, Nigel, for such a memorable introduction to this iconic hotel!
Mikaela was amazing! Definitely coming back! Recommend the apple pudding dessert!! Soo delicious and awesome atmosphere!
Absolutely terrible hotel/management/customer service. Will never recommend nor book here again. I had a reservation scheduled for this weekend (Jan 23rd-24th), but with the impending winter storms our entire trip had to be moved. Flights/car rental were 100% refunded and rescheduled do to the safety concern (shoutout to Hertz & American Airlines). We moved this trip two weeks out and this hotel flat out denied to move dates, and still charged us for half the stay, even with the storm coming and the fact the trip dates had to be moved. Literal STATE OF EMERGENCY in TX right now and I offered to pay extra to move dates. Out over $200 dollars for stay I couldn't even get to if I tried with the weather...never again.
Fantastic service. Friendliest staff and beautiful hotel! Spacious rooms and very well maintained.
Cool historical building with personality and cozy spots to hang out. The hotel staff is very service oriented and responsive. Lobby host Nigel kept checking in on how to make my day better. :-)
