Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown was the perfect spot for a quick trip to Dallas! The location is fantastic, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The lobby was in the process of being painted, but even with the work going on, you could appreciate how beautiful and historic it was. The room was nice, bed was comfy, and the bathroom, though small, was efficient. The best part of the stay was the great staff. Torian, at the front desk, was friendly, helpful, offered suggestions, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Shout out to Dora, as well, for also making us feel valued. Housekeeping staff were friendly and kept our room in top shape.
The only negative - the valet parking was very expensive and the valet was not always available. However, when we were stuck waiting, Torian stepped in to ensure our vehicle was taken care of.
Location and rooms were good size

Great service from Valet to clerk
Sean Calloway was great. Great customer service. Friendly & gave great recommendations.
Tory checked me in at the Front Desk and I told him how excited I was to be up from Austin for the World Cup. He got me a quiet room and on the top floor! I was greeted every time I came down to the lobby by Tory and the Front Desk Team. Service was excellent from the valet team too! Kudos to all for a great overnight!
The renovation of the property is outstanding. They have done a wonderful job and the Hotel looks and functions amazingly. The staff is excellent.
Great location to catch train.
Room was nice and clean!
It's in downtown so there is traffic noises at night but overall had a pleasant 4 nights stay!!
Be warned, per their emails, the hotel is undergoing renovations until early 2027. It's outrageous IHG is putting guests in this hotel with it in this condition.
Issues:
1) Paid for my room in advance, no cancellation permitted, then received half a dozen emails about ongoing renovations at the hotel. The hotel smells of fresh paint. Gym? Closed for renovations. Bar? Closed for renovations. Restaurant? Under renovations. The "restaurant" is currently a conference room on the 2nd floor.
2) No water when we arrived. Water was off for 4 hours.
3) Ice makers don't work. I tried several times during our stay.
4) Room floors were filthy.
5) Extra blanket came from housekeeping with holes worn through it.
6) Extra pillows in the closet had hairs on them.
7) Doors in the room don't work! My 10 year old couldn't open the bathroom door to get out because the handle didn't work properly. I had to open it from the other side.
8) As others noted, LOTS of street noise.
9) Renovations look cheaply done and haphazard; paint oversprayed on the light switches, handles, and floors.
Won't be back and will avoid IHG properties.
Hotel was being renovated
Friendly staff from front desk to valet. They couldnt have been better. Beds were comfy and sheets were soft. Room was clean. Very walkable area. 2 blocks from a great Italian Mercato (Ari's Pantry) where they served pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. Stayed 3 nights and had we seen it our first day and not last would have always gone! Woolworth was great for brunch about 3 blocks away. Got a room on the end of the hall and beds were facing each other end to end which I had never had before, but ended up great for late night girl talk and room separation.
They did have construction outside which was slightly inconvenient and the lounge/bar area was getting a remodel so it was closed and we'd normally spend time there so would have liked communication as it may have impacted our choice, but the most important things were great - clean and comfy bed.
