Ein toller Aufenthalt. Eine Oase am Komfort in einer einfachen Umgebung.
Pros:

Die Lage war für den Besuch der Pyramiden und das Great Egyptian Museum perfekt. Das Essen war vorzüglich.

Cons:

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Für uns hat es weder mit dem Abholen vom Flughafen noch mit der Fahrt raus mit dem Fahrservice geklappt.

Steigenberger ist nicht immer Steigenberger
Pros:

Da das neue Museum GEM genau gegenüber des Hotels liegt, hatten wir gehofft, einfach über die Strasse gehen zu können - die Strasse erwies sich jedoch als ca. 8-spurige (pro Richtung) Stadtautobahn mit einer imposanten Betonmauer in der Mitte. Unmöglich zu überqueren. Stattdessen riet man uns im Hotel ein Taxi zu nehmen, das dann bis zum nächsten Kreisverkehr fuhr und dann wieder zurück zum Museum/Hotel. Preis/Fahrt ca. 10,-- EUR.
Das GEM lohnt unbedingt einen Besuch !!!
Das Personal war zum Teil sehr nett und hilfsbereit, andererseits aber auch unzuverlässig und auf Trinkgelder fixiert.
Wirklich gut gefallen hat uns das Frühstück mit einem großen, vielfältigen Angebot und die Möglichkeit, bereits im Februar draußen, inmitten von Palmen und exotischem Grün zu sitzen.

Cons:

Steigenberger Pyramids kann nicht mit einem deutschen Steigenberger Hotel verglichen werden. Das Niveau, die Instandhaltung, die sanitären Anlagen sind deutlich unter Niveau.

Enttäuschend. Nie wieder.
Pros:

Höchstens die teilweise Sicht auf die Pyramiden von unserem Zimmer aus.

Cons:

Das ist kein 5-Stern-Hotel, höchstens 3. Das einzige Restaurant hat Wartesaal-Charakter und hat nur Buffet.
Das Hotel liegt direkt an der dicht befahrenen 8-spurigen Strasse. Es ist sehr laut.

Fabulous location
Pros:

Location is superb for views of the museum and pyramids. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Staff are very helpful. Lovely breakfast and evening meal.

Die Aussicht vom Garten, die Lage und das Essen sind speziell….Wohl eines der besten Häuser in Kaito und Ghize…

Die Aussicht auf die Pyramiden, die Pool Anlage, das neue Museum und das Essen waren grandios. Die Zimmer sind unterschiedlich. Die neuen Bungalows sind sehr schön. Dass man von hier nicht die Pyramiden sieht ist egal. Im hHauptgebäude sind Zimmer mit fabelhafter Aussicht, allerdings erst ab dem 2.Stock. Bei den anderen Zimmern im Erdgeschoss bzw. 1.Stock muss man auf jeden Fall jene mit Pool-und Gartenblick nehmen….

Cons:

Einige Zimmer in den niederen Stöcken blicken auf eine Baustelle und Mauer. Die externe Klimaanlage ist auch dort etwas laut..
