Molto centrale, con un parcheggio convenzionato a circa 500mt, le camere sono comode, non molto grandi se si soggiorna in 4, colazione buona e personale gentile

Breakfast was nice and a good choice
We found the staff both warm and welcoming and our check in went very smoothly. We would like to give a big shout out to Sophie and Kurt ( I hope I have spelt his name right) on reception during our stay over the Easter. Nothing was too much bother for them in regards to questions about directions etc. All our needs were met from the get go. The staff in the restaurant and bar were excellent and we felt spoilt. Both dinner and breakfasts were delicious and in particular our BLT and chips we had on the Friday afternoon. We booked a twin room which was very comfy and cosy as were our beds. The bathroom was the best as it was a good size with an overhead shower and a smaller shower head if you just wanted to wash your hair. The shower itself was big and it did not over flow. There was an extra box of tissues and body and hand moisturisers which came in handy. We found the location of the hotel very handy as it is close to the local train station, a park and the high street. We fell in love with Paddington Bear on his bench.
We would have liked if there were more drawers in the room, one did not meet our needs. The space between the wardrobe and the bed was very tight and it would have been good to have more clothes hangers to share.
The lights were a bit tricky to work at night with the 'master switch' and trying to keep the low light on in the bathroom on our first night. Maybe keep the low light on anyway all the time without having to turn it on?
The hotel Wi-Fi did not work for us. Not sure why. We used our own mobile data.
I would like to add that none of these were minor issues as our stay was otherwise excellent but we thought they would be worth mentioning.

Excellent hotel, central to the city centre so an ideal location to explore Chester, the park just near the hotel is lovely and once you go through the park it brings you by the river which is lovely for walks and the Boathouse restaurant is fab for food, overall I would rate this hotel 10 out 10 with a very unique and historic decoration of the rooms which are fantastic
