Everything about this hotel was great! Quiet and comfortable rooms, great bar and restaurant, awesome location!
Breakfast was great although on second day they had ran out of bacon and sausages
Room very small and dark
Plenty of choice but the cooked food was definitely on the gold side.
Breakfast hotter
The hotel was in a central location with city centre a few minutes walk away. The railway station was an easy ten minutes walk or a £5 taxi. We stayed in a standard room which was not huge but perfectly adequate. The bathroom was a good size with a lovely large walk-in shower. The breakfast had plenty of choice on both hot and cold dishes. The restaurant was also pretty good and was patronised by both hotel guests and locals. The staff were excellent . Without exception, they were friendly, polite and helpful.
Only a small point, I felt three could have been more drawer space. On one side of the bed, there was a cupboard with three small drawers but on the side, there was only a small table with the telephone on it. I had to put the telephone on the floor in order to use the small table.

Location, reduced car parking which makes a big difference. Good facilities, room really big and lovely bed. Plenty of room in the bathroom. Free cookies and drinks in the room, lovely to have fresh milk in the fridge for coffee or tea. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom only a small amount needed.
Could have done with hotter water for the shower. Only like warm at night and in the morning. Only having one bath sheet for two people would have been nice to have two especially when you want a shower at night and in the morning. Probably could have asked for another one, but once you get up you don't want to be going downstairs to get one or wait for someone to bring it.
The staff were really wonderful and helpful in general but what really stood out was that when I mentioned that only my wife would be eating at breakfast as I was fasting for Ramadan and that fasting began from before the time they started serving breakfast, they then produced little sehri packages full of various breakfast items for me to come and collect from the kitchen staff each morning at 4:30 AM. Really accommodating and friendly and a very convenient location, you can definitely understand why this hotel is on the pricier side.
