Excellent stay at Urbanite Hotel
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Urbanite Hotel in Vientiane. The hotel is clean, modern, and very comfortable, with well-maintained rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. The location is convenient—close to restaurants, cafés, and key attractions—making it easy to explore the city.

What truly made the stay exceptional was the service, especially from Deth at the reception. Deth was incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. From check-in to providing local tips and assistance, Deth went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and pleasant. His warm attitude and genuine hospitality really stood out and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

Overall, Urbanite Hotel offers great value, excellent service, and a comfortable place to stay in Vientiane. Highly recommended, and special thanks again to Deth for the outstanding hospitality!

Pros:

Nice big apartment. Gym is decent. Breakfast is ok. Staff are friendly if maybe a little shy.

Cons:

Location wasn't ideal for casual tourist maybe better for longer term rentals. Its the NGO/government district so maybe not the best for restaurants/cafes but safe and pleasant enough.

Pool was next to the car park.

Wunderbares Hotel mit laotischer Gastfreundschaft
Pros:

Extrem sauber, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit getrenntem Aufenthaltsraum und Schlafzimmer, sogar eine Küchenzeile. Kleiner Balkon, sehr ruhig und ruhige und doch geschäftige Lage. Im nächstem Umfeld Restaurants, Shops für Getränke und Essen, Massage, Friseur. Inmitten des Diplomaten- und Ministeriumsviertels. Gleich beim Triumphbogen. Zum Mekong ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß oder mit Taxi App LOCA, mit der man auch Kreditkarte verknüpfen kann zum bargeldlosen Zahlen. Schöner Pool im Außenbereich.

Large place, 20 min walk to various sites
Pros:

It’s new. Spacious. Clean. Great staff. Clothes washer and drying rack a plus. Glad they provided breakfast but it was just ok.

Cons:

20 min walk to center of old town. Pretty barren and they have notes allover to not touch or take things. Actually held my passport (or a $50 USD cash deposit) and checked our room at checkout to make sure nothing was messed up or stolen. Kind of strange.
