Great family choice for Disney
Pros:

We have just returned from a week stay at the now named Anaheim resort suites (which was previously the Cambria resort suites) and it really delivers well on the basics. Rooms were clean and spacious albeit there is some noise from the roads which ear plugs helped with. The location is brilliant, walkable to Disney, in about 20 minutes and opposite some great dinner options for the end of the day. Parking was a surprise for us at $35 per night, but seems to be pretty standard, how ever when you also throw in the resort fee at $19 a day it stacks up,

Great hotel for families.
Pros:

As a family that comes to Disney yearly, and sells Disney I book clients into this hotel all the time but hadn't stayed with my own family so it was time!
To start off check in with Amanda was wonderful she's friendly and check in was a breeze.
Our family room was wonderful and spacious for our large family, they sent a baby crib up immediately and the crib was not just a thin hard mattress it was comfortable and soft and our one year old slept great on it
The onlt negative of our room was the door between the toilet room and shower room. It was always sticking so half way closed you have to really pull it this resulted then in broken nails squished fingers and bent rings and a few kid tears who jammed their fingers. I'm not sure if this was just our room or a common issue with these slidding doors. Otherwise we absolutely loved having the kitchenette with a FULL SIZE FRIDGE this was amazing! I'd not recommend anyone over the age of 10 to sleep on the pull out sofa as it' sinks in the middle and you'll feel like your sleeping in a V. Our 18 year old was originally going to sleep on it but didn't. He did however enjoy the roll away bed underthe bunk bed.

Breakfast is outstanding there is so much food. Yes it gets busy but the staff do a wonderful job of refilling everything as quickly as possible and not letting things run out. They offer a large selection of food that there will be something for everyone. On two days they had half the dinning room seating area closed which made finding a seat a little challenging but the staff really did their best to clean and turn over quickly great job.

We took a day off the Disney parks to enjoy the waterslides and pool. My children loved this. One thing to note tho is the sun is not in the pool most of the day as the hotel actually blocks the sun. But the pool is heated and the kids still had a great time.
We loved the firetables to sit around for the evening movie and have a drink (there is a bar on site and you can' bring the food and drinks into the pool are - I recommend the pizza so large and great tasting and price)

The park is a short walk to the free Disney shuttle or about a 17 min walk to the park. We walked right to and from the park most days but did take the free shuttle home one evening and a lyft home another day.
All options are doable and this hotel is great location to get to the parks.
There is many food options around (I recoment the Hawaii bbq place in the same complex.)

After our week long stay here we would definitely come back.. My kids say YES YES YES to returning and I feel confident to Continue to send clients here.

Over all a great hotel for families

Very Misleading Hotel - Not the Same Hotel
Pros:

I used to cherish my stays at the Cambria Hotel in Anaheim. It was modern, upscale, and radiated a fresh, welcoming vibe that made every visit truly enjoyable. However, the recent changes have been nothing short of disappointing. The new hotel, which sounds like the hotel on harbor, feels like a significant downgrade in every aspect. The stylish design and thoughtful amenities that once distinguished Cambria have vanished, replaced by a bland, generic atmosphere.

The decline in service is equally troubling; what used to be friendly and professional has now turned indifferent and unresponsive. The little touches that made Cambria special—like the immaculate, contemporary rooms and inviting common areas—are gone. It’s hard to believe this is the same property I once loved.

If you’re hoping for the quality and experience that Cambria once delivered, brace yourself for disappointment. This transformation represents a substantial step backward, and sadly, I won’t be returning.

Blindsided by Ownership Change – Points Refused and Rate Doubled
Pros:

I recently made reservations for what was then the Cambria Hotel through Choice Hotels, using points I had saved up. I booked months in advance and coordinated with friends for a Disney trip, specifically choosing this property based on its brand, location, and the rate/points combination I secured at the time.

When I arrived around 9 p.m. to check in, I was informed the hotel had changed ownership and is now operating as Anaheim Suites. With that change, I was told my Choice points would not be honored, even though my existing reservation could not be canceled under the booking terms.

The “solution” I was offered was either:

a complimentary cancellation (which was not actually a favor, given that I had a valid, non-cancelable reservation and it was already late in the evening), or

to stay and pay the much higher, same-day, peak-season rate.

Because my trip was already planned and my friends and I had coordinated around this hotel, I felt I had no realistic choice but to accept the significantly higher rate. I went from a fully covered stay with points—or even a cash rate that was roughly half of what I ended up paying—to nearly $1,500 for three nights.

What made this even more disappointing was that there was no prior communication about the ownership change, the loss of partnership with Choice, or that my points and original rate would not be honored. On top of that, the room itself felt subpar for the price: low water pressure, questionable cleanliness, and poor noise insulation.

Given the circumstances—the lack of notice, the failure to honor the original rate or points, and the overall quality of the stay—I hope management will review this situation and reach out with a proposal for how you feel this can be made right.

Ready to pay
Pros:

I was not expecting to have to pay a resort fee. Which sucked because we did not want to use any of the resort items!

Where mediocrity meets ambition
Pros:

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Pinterest dreams collide with reality TV budgets, welcome to the Cambria Hotel. The layout? Oh, it’s nice—like a real estate listing that makes you think, “Maybe I could live here.” The bed? Decent enough to remind you that gravity still works. And the bunk beds? A charming nod to summer camp, minus the s’mores and plus the existential dread of wondering why you didn’t book somewhere else.
Dual showers? Brilliant for two kids who love synchronized chaos. But don’t get too comfortable—because the carpet looks like it’s been through more wars than your last family road trip. The towels? Let’s just say they’ve seen things. Ancient, threadbare relics that could probably tell stories if they weren’t too busy disintegrating.
Breakfast is a culinary adventure in cafeteria chic. Imagine McDonald’s sausage, powdered eggs by the metric ton, and a dash of chaos for flavor. It’s like they hired Gordon Ramsay’s evil twin and told him, “Make it edible, but only barely.”
The elevator floor? Sticky enough to double as a fly trap. The pool? Mostly in the shade, which is great if you’re a vampire. And the security? Aggressive enough to make you wonder if you accidentally wandered into Fort Knox instead of a hotel pool.
Would I stay again? Absolutely not. But if your expectations are so low they need a ladder to reach rock bottom, this place might just feel like home.

Ok....could be better
Pros:

Nice pool area for kids if you have the time to enjoy it, well suited to the smaller kids.
Breakfast included which was ok, and rooms are a good size for families,(which was our main reason for choosing this hotel) with beds for our 3 kids rather than sofa beds, and a separate living area, allowing for more space for our family of 5.
Location was good, with Starbucks and various other eating places just outside the doors.
I think there was an art bus right outside the hotel, but we walked 10 minutes to the Toy Story Parking lot and took the free shuttle from there, otherwise its quite a long walk 20-25 minutes to Disney, which we did on the first day, then saw the buses lined up right outside Disneyland when we came back and jumped on one of those.

Cons:

A bit far from Disneyland although close enough to toy story parking lot and a free shuttle from there.
The pillows are terrible. Like half normal size and were very lumpy and bumpy.
The carpets in our room 1221 were filthy with stains all over them. Very disappointing as I have never come across this before in any hotel I've stayed at, and it would put me off recommending this hotel.
Also I did send a message when we booked asking to please have a Disney view room, only to be told that they don't allocate rooms until check in, and we would have to ask then. Of course when we arrived and asked we were told none of those rooms available.....surprise surprise. Also we sent a message asking to be located close to our other family party and were told the same thing. We were allocated rooms on different floors, making it very difficult to manage, due to the system of accessing floors by cards at the elevators, as we could not access the floor they were on, and they could not access ours, so we couldn't even go knock on their door to see them. I find this extremely poor customer service, where you take absolutely no notice of customers requests made months in advance. I would not stay here again as the price was higher than many other hotels in the area, and I don't feel that The Cambria actually values their customers at all.
Also be aware that as well as a resort fee, you will also be charged Anaheim Room Tax, which we knew nothing about, despite booking.com telling us when we booked that all fees and taxes were included in our rate, we were charged this upon check out and only discovered it when we messaged them for a breakdown of the additional charges that appeared on our credit card. Very dishonest and misleading, surely this should be included in the room rate.

Our stay was do to going to Disneyland with my daughter and husband and my 3 grandkids. It’s was very convenient close t
Pros:

I like that even there’s a lot of kids. I didn’t hear anything in my room, slept very comfortably.

Cons:

I didn’t like that on movie night I couldn’t hear the movie around the pool area, I would have to get very close to the screen to hear it.
