Cleaning staff very friendly

My parents at the best Western and Grant Park was not great at all. I was terrible actually when I got there I booked a king bed room. When we arrive the wrong smelt, the bathroom ceiling was falling in so they upgraded us to a king suite which was not too much better. All of the furniture is outdated stand up scraped up. The carpet was nasty. Didn’t even wanna step on it also, there’s no sign to put on the door for do not disturb or do not enter my room. We ask the cleaning lady housekeeping not to enter our room they did anyways after we asked them not to twice also my baby $300,000 Nintendo switch came up missing the hotel and no one was able to service us to help us out. They were saying the manager would not be in for three days and we were there from out of town, but was not able to stay away for the manager nothing was done on behalf of us nothing no type of accommodations or anything. I was very, very disappointed and upset on my stay for 800 something dollars for two nights.
Staff was friendly .. Walking distant to Grant Park, Soldier field and numerous retail stores .. Area was clean.
The room was a bit outdated.. need to either refurbish the furniture .. The small refrigerator that was provided in the room was off balance but working ..

Mimo wad hotel ma też swoje zalety: obsługa jest miła, profesjonalna i starała się rozwiązać każde nasze problemy. Mimo że po check-out realnie przestaliśmy być ich klientami to wciąż dało się skorzystać z ich gościnności w postaci darmowego przechowania naszych bagaży i pójścia jeszcze na parę ostatnich godzin pobytu w USA. Na pewno to zapamiętamy jako amerykańską gościnność, gdzie w większości czuliśmy się bezpiecznie, czuliśmy się jak goście czy to w hotelach czy restauracjach czy w miejscach publicznych.
Niestety, ale na schodach widzielismy karaluchy. Hotelowi przydałby się remont, generalnie odświeżenie i możliwość otwierania okien, bo w małym pokoju czuliśmy się jak w klatce. Mieliśmy zepsutą baterię pod prysznicem i ciągle leciała woda, ale stanęli na wysokości zadania i szybko przyszli naprawić. Ale z drugiej strony tak naprawde hotel spełnił nasze oczekiwania, bo był tani pod względem swojego położenia a o to nam chodziło podczas niespełna trzydniowego pobytu. I tak tylko tam spaliśmy a resztę dnia spędzaliśmy najczęściej pieszo Chicago. A to dzięki dobrej lokalizacji hotelu.
L’hôtel est très bien situé pour découvrir la ville à pied ou en transports publics. La chambre est agréable. La vue que nous avions était sympa (côté rue : nous voyions le lac). Le personnel est réactif : le lavabo était bouché à notre arrivée, un plombier est intervenu très rapidement.
Les lits sont plutôt petits (140?) Le petit-déjeuner n’est pas possible dans l’hôtel (mais proposé dans la boulangerie attenante, pour un prix correct).
